To the poster who said he’s donating the money from sales, isn’t it in the back of the book how much each charity is getting?

What is the context of what he said? Has anyone read the passage in context?
I was being facetious.

Wasn't he blathering on in one of the American chat shows about the killing of the Taliban was taken out of context? That was when he was saying it was all about him healing etc etc.

Interesting that it’s been mentioned Kate and William are trying to look concerned- yet the late Queen never showed emotion and that was never mentioned.
She did when she visited Aberfan after the disaster and it was genuine not a "concerned face" the fact that she actually showed that she was sad was very rare. She also cried when they lost the Royal Yacht Britannia, she showed her feelings so rarely that when she did you knew she was genuine.

I'm not surprised they didn't send the senior members to Constantine's funeral. The man hadn't been a king in 50 years. They've sent his cousin thrice removed and his goddaughter.

I suspect more senior members will be sent to King Harald or Queen Margarethe's funerals. Both are actual heads of state and have been given honours by the BRF.
Princess Anne wasn’t his goddaughter? 🤷‍♀️

Wont they be wearing the robes and coronets of Duke/Duchess, Earl/Countess?
That is the question! They should be wearing their coronets and robes but will they, bearing in mind how the HoL has changed?
Editing to add that we cannot go on what has happened at more recent accession ceremonies as we are the only country in Europe that still has an actual coronation. That makes me think "Whoopee, everybody will be getting the sparklies out!"

I wonder whether Meghan will do a sharp rethink about her book in the wake of the reaction to Spare? I mean, if she had any awareness at all she would pull the plug on it pronto. Not convinced she has any though.
Depends if they’re still interested in changing the world and being “global citizens”. Might as well double down and make the millions from her book, not that I think her book will sell anywhere near what Harrys did, but it’ll make enough to invest it and make more.

I don’t think it will just be about education in early years. It sounds a lot like it’s linked to attachment theory which is a heavily researched area of psych / cognitive development. I am following the info they are dropping with interest. They seem to be trying to build up a lot of interest.

What? A parents wealth doesn’t mean that the children aren’t going to end up needing help. Some parents refuse to help out their children and it’s nothing to do with drinks, drugs or partying.
Didn’t Marina’s include a pre marriage pregnancy and an unsuitable suitor?

A million times yes to this. As if it's your own fault you're poor. I'm all for personal responsibility but it's just not possible for everyone to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and work their way out of poverty. I think this meritocracy idea is particularly prevalent in America where they won't even give free healthcare people who can't afford it through no fault of their own. Theoretically anyone can achieve the American dream and make big money but that's just not true in reality.
They do have ‘free’ or subsidised (no one gets free healthcare, we all pay for it in some way) healthcare for lower income, the elderly and veterans. The US has plenty of social programs but they seem to be in denial of it.

I do agree with you 100% there. It is unbearable to see the likes of snotty nose gormless useless shit bags Nicola and Brooklyn flouting their trustfunds, but the British public isn’t funding their lifestyle. They don’t have an moral obligation to the Taxpayers.
Nor do taxpayers fund the royals other than for security, the profits of the Crown Estate funds the buildings they live in and with the profits of the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall the work and travel working royals do

France has about the same population as us and also has big inaugurations now with ceremonies at the Elysee Palace, military parades etc. Though admittedly not all European royals have coronations now but accession ceremonies. The Japanese and Thai, Tongan, Jordanian and Zulu royals still have coronations though

I think Charles is going to wish Harry was still spouting nonsense about his knob rather what Andrew is about to unleash ....

After the coronation I expect Charles will formally remove HRHs from non working royals ie Andrew as well as Harry

What's she going to do - tour around with Chippy in a helicopter, surveying the damage?

Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden are coming in a few days too. Bad timing.
Come see our lovely - ah. Well, come see our troubles, I suppose.

Will and Kate must be gagging for a holiday. Feels like a while since they went abroad unless they've managed to get away in secret, which wouldn't surprise me

Weird there is suddenly someone saying how close to death Sophie was when having Louise. I think it was widely known at the time (along with the ectopic pregnancy that also had her in hospital) but why bring it up now?

The Italian President of the Republic doesn't get an inauguration ceremony and his role is basically equal to that of the British monarch. Just because you only know about the French and American presidents doesn't mean the world ends there
Wrong. The Italian President has an inauguration complete with gun salute, cavalry escort and flypast paid for by Italian taxpayers

I'm trying to remember what I heard about this but she barely attended either college or maybe an internship but in any case her royal connections came into play at some point. Maybe it's on a very old thread
Well she attended enough to graduate 🤷‍♀️
She did quit after three years after starting as a trainee solicitor at a London Law firm.
I am sure her name might have opened doors but I don’t see how having her as a solicitor pays off if she was doing a bad job. Anyhow she isn’t working in law atm but is self employed.
