The language seems to be really poetic and flowery - not how I'd expect Harry to talk and it sounds like he's comparing Willy's wedding to his mother's funeral - I'm assuming the roof is Westminster Abbey:

The fact that she was idolised by vast swathes of people and virtually elevated to sainthood after her death didn’t help. William, being older, and used <wrongly> as a confidant had more of a grasp on the person behind the glamour.I haven't lost one of my parents at a young age but is it normal to see your mother as some kind of fairy? I mean you have to - at some point - see your parent as a human with flaws, not just an embellished version of it as we all have as kids. It's quite sad to be honest.
I have never thought all of this would go so bad - Meghan and Harry had a great opportunity to live a nice life. I cannot see them thinking this was a good idea in a few years.

He was only in his early teens when he died so that would make sense. I don't think you really understand your parents until your twenties, before then they are just your parents rather than an actual human being with a life outside of their identity as a mum.
