Are people really that arsed about a repeat of Garden Rescue being moved to BBC Two?!It's so sad. I can't believe people are moaning about TV schedules being cancelled.
Whether you are for or against the royal family the UK is a royal nation and she's been the reigning monarch for 70 years.
My Grandma was a massive royalist and they got a card on their 50th anniversary (which I organised) and similar to yours they treasured it. I think my grandad got another on his 90th birthday too.A card was sent to my grandparents on the anniversary of their marriage, I needed to apply for it and did so. I didn’t really expect it to be done. My grandfather died within days of getting it (he had terminal cancer) and he was so pleased at the lovely message that was put inside, my grandmother treasures it and is a similar age to the queen. I sent the queen a thank you letter and jubilee card and got a reply which I didn’t expect and was grateful for.
Yes I know it wasn’t done by her personally but it meant a lot. Her card to my grandparents really made my grandfathers last days so memorable for him, gave everyone something to concentrate on other than his suffering.
I think this is to subtly hint to us before they can say it, to ease the public into the announcementThe BBC news banner seems to have changed to a black background on this
The BBC royal correspondent said to prepare for the worst, the sign language interpreter and news presenters are all in black and there’s very much a ‘this is the end’ feel on the BBC live coverage. The fact her children have all travelled to see her signifies the seriousness of it tbh. I haven’t heard Radio2 but it’s not looking goodI’ve got radio 2 on while I’m working from home in case of any announcements but they are sounding optimistic and talking like she’ll get better. Admittedly I haven’t watched any news coverage but from reading this thread it sounds the opposite like they’re waiting for confirmation they can announce her death?

I know, it's crazy to think about. End of an era, for sure.you know what's a strange thought... if she has died, there will be babies born from now on who will not have the queen as a monarch... that hasn't happened in 70 years!
This is sort of common sense? I’d say after 6PM the announcement isn’t likely, it would be moved to tomorrowCan't say too much about how I know but apparently if anything happens after 9pm there won't be an announcement till tomorrow.
