you know what's a strange thought... if she has died, there will be babies born from now on who will not have the queen as a monarch... that hasn't happened in 70 years!
My husband just said this about our 2 young children 😂 they will think we are ancient that we had a queen.

Harry and Meghan were meant to be doing something in London. They probably dropped the plans for them to be in the country when this happened after they moved, hence the possible delay with them travelling + their schedule

Ive been absolutely glued to the BBC news coverage all afternoon. .
It is going to feel so weird when she passes . . She really is that person we all know but haven't met.
Sad times . . 💔

I don’t know how the news outlets will come back from this if she does recover…people won’t be very happy at the long rolling coverage…

They’re potentially waiting for all of the family to arrive before announcing anything. Gives those travelling chance to see her/ see each other before the big announcement sends everything into a frenzy
I think you’re right, perhaps waiting for the family to get there before making any announcement

It’s for security reasons that all the closest successors to the throne don’t travel together. Don’t think it’s a ‘exclude Meghan and Harry thing’

They don't allow successions to travel together. Charles, William and Harry tend to all travel seperately.
But the BBC News commentators thought the Sussexes were on the same plane as William and co, so I assumed no such protocol existed.

With all these slip ups from presenters speaking in the past tense, why have they been told? If we’re not supposed to know yet then it makes more sense for them to be kept in the dark too so there’s no mistakes

I’d normally be buzzing if so But I’m on maternity, not very thoughtful of her to wait 🤣
Whatever your opinions of the Queen, have some damn respect.

This attitude repulses me. At the end of the day, that is someone’s family member. A mother, Nan and great Nan. Shame on you.

I don't think they truly know yet either, more like they also don't know what really to do. I don't think they all thought that the Queen's likely passing would be broadcast live.

The former Scottish Comms director being interviewed on Sky News right now seems very shaken. Wondering if she's party to any information.

Maybe on the 6pm news?
My brother tells me he’s heard from two separate (in the know) sources that sadly she has already died.
I think you’re right, perhaps waiting for the family to get there before making any announcement

The other thing with slip ups is that the whole coverage is obviously in preparation for announcing the death. I’d think it would be hard to remain in the headspace of her still being alive in that situation
