I’ve had to switch the news off, such a sad day xx What a wonderful fulfilling life she had, just so sad the last couple of years with covid, death of her husband must have been so hard

I’m lucky to live on a project of The now Kings, it’s a wonderful place full of reminders of the Royals & the Queen, he makes regular visits, I wonder if he will still.

There's so much to say but at the same time maybe Dame Gemma Collins said it best when she dropped her potato waffles on the door in celebrity big brother:

"I'm devo'ed"

Rest in peace, thanks for serving us :(

Just seen this on FB:

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know"

I then turned and looked behind me,
and saw I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where King's and Queens,
are Monarch's every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.

I’ve not even been able to come on Tattle tonight until now. Few a bit stupid at how much I have cried this evening and just how sad the news has made me. Finally stopped and just read your post 😭😭😭😭
What an incredible lady the Queen was. Dedicated her entire life to this country. It will never be the same again 🖤

It’s weird thinking we’ll never see her on the balcony again, we won’t get asked if we’re “having tea with The Queen” when you go to London 😔

Yeah I thought that too, you sort of get used to her presence in the background and it's weird to think there will be none of that. Also really weird to think my kids won't remember any of her!

I’ve noticed a few comments, has anyone on here worked closely with the royal family? I noticed someone saying they had been practicing the procedure for her death for the past 6 months?
We’ve been planning for it for years, I 100% don’t work anywhere near the royal family !

I’ve been crying pretty much all day, I knew as soon as the normal bbc programs were interrupted that she had gone. I’m so very sad she was a wonderful lady and it’s like the end of an era. I’ve lit a candle tonight for her. Not sure if it’s already been said but there was a beautiful double rainbow over Buckingham Palace this afternoon.

Edinburgh Council have started plans for road closures etc. I believe Operation Unicorn is the Queen will be taken to Holyrood, then St Giles Cathedral. So the HQ and City Chambers Staff are to work from home. If the funeral is Monday 19th Sept, it’s a local holiday here.

I feel in disbelief! Just such a shock. What a lovely lovely lady, so hardworking and duty bound 💕 I’m so glad she was at home in Balmoral when it was her time.

I heard Liz Truss was told at 4.30pm, so I’m not sure if the family managed to get to her in time? 😔

I genuinely feel like I've lost my last Nana, may be it one I've never met, but a Nana none the less.

She has been in reign for nearly going half my life, it feels incredibly weird not to call someone Queen.
To talk of her in past tense is so harsh, to now calling someone King almost feels profane to do so.

I'm finding it hard to also swallow that we shall never see her again, no waves from the balcony, no cheeky smiles when she has said something quite obviously 'un-queeny" and it has tickled her that everyone is surprised, no more walks with Sir David Attenborough, I do hope they moved that sun dial!

I'm so grateful that she saw her Jubilee, Her Majesty looked so entirely happy next to her great grandchildren & family, watching the fly past/over.

The way she looked over the crowd one last time, you could see it in her eyes that she knew this was her last time to see such a sea of people for her, we all felt that moment. I hope you know we (I) were proud of you that day.

Paddington tweeted, he's not even a real bear but he gets it 💔

I don't really know what this post is rambling about other than my head thoughts whizzing.

I'm keeping a 50p Ma'am, should I need you, for anything... I'll rub the coin fondly and make a quick wish.

Rest in Peace. Thank you for your dedication service.

I saw a timeline saying her coffin would be brought here 3 days after her death and stay for 24 hours before being taken to Waverley and to London on the Royal train - so that would be this Sunday/Monday I think?

I would really like to go.

Yes I’ve looked into it before, I found it weirdly fascinating. I just wondered if anyone here actually worked with the royals. I may of read it wrong
I used to. The op order was always on the desk at sandringham in the police station.

Will William become Prince of Wales now rather than Duke of Cambridge?
So according to the BBC, William and Catherine are now currently styled Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge. The title of Prince of Wales has to be granted to him by King Charles

My face aches from crying, I am avoiding reading anything tonight on SM so I don’t get too deep into crying and feeling sad. So much has changed over the last couple of years, it’s hard to not feel so anxious about it all.

I don’t usually post on here, more of a lurker but I’ve found today incredibly hard. I’m not a royalist in the slightest, but my special nan was, who I lost last year. She absolutely loved the queen ❤ I’ve been engrossed by it the entire afternoon and even bought a tear to my eye.

I don’t really have anything else to say really, I just feel for the family and their grief.
