Strange to see people online celebrating the Queen's death.

Don't get me wrong; I don't expect everyone to be sad or even care, but celebrating the death of an elderly woman is just ducked up.

My granny was on warfarin for years after having a heart attack. The back of her hands where always like this from the most minor knocks against things. Can we just not think she was really old and it was her time?

My grandad wasn't on warfarin (that I know of anyway) but he was the same, 80s and always had bruising all over his hands and arms, unfortunately it comes with age
She had a good life, a long life, and it was just her time

I wonder how long the currency with the Queen's image, will continue to be legal tender?

For quite some time I'd imagine - especially as the new polymer notes were designed to be durable.

Guess we can't predict what will happen to our health. The royals are privileged and get the best health treatment, food, drink etc, so natural for them to live to a good age. Probably much easier for the Queen to be 96 than your average 90+ year old.

Oh I agree. But my Nan is still kicking about at 88 and going strong so I have hope. The women in my family seem to live forever. The men on the other hand... bad news for my brother

I wonder if the Queen had already written a draft of it covering the earlier part of the year.

I think the previous Kings did a radio messagw back in the early days of broadcasting so he probably will.

BBC have just broadcast an interview with a member of the public who said she will never see another Queen in her lifetime. That's a weird fact to think. Even if Charles doesn't have a long reign, it's William and then George. It will probably even be our children's children if not their children the next time there is a Queen.

Our Queen was never destined to be Queen though so I suppose you can never say it won't happen (not wishing ill on anyone at all by this comment).

Yeh my great grandma was fine, had a lovely day at the beach with my grandma and her husband, she went to bed that night and passed away having had a stroke in her sleep, nothing could have been done. It was heartbreaking but at least she had that wonderful day out in a place she loved.

Oh god I don't know you but this made me well up, makes my heart smile knowing she had a nice day

What a sad day for our country and the world. My Grandma used to always watch the Queen and comment on her outfits, her and my grandfather loved a good gossip about the royals too. The Queen holds some lovely memories for me. What a woman she was.

My Nan loved the royals too, especially the Queen. She would tolerate no talking when the Queen was on telly!

So sad that she has gone. She’ll be very much missed.
