Epidurals are V common on the NHS.OK, this is me probably bringing my own lack of knowledge into it, but I thought for cost reasons, or whatever, epidurals aren't freely given for NHS births in the UK? I got the impression cause people, either through their own money or insurance payouts, pay for everything upfront in countries like the USA, they can get epidural anaesthesia more easily and as standard for birth?
Again, I could be completely wrong here!
Same! I was fully expecting to but nothingFor me, it was the only birth vlog I *didn't* cry at.
Yeah, I usually SOB at themSame! I was fully expecting to but nothing
Same could be said for Sarah, she tried to squeeze a tear out but there were none.Yeah, I usually SOB at themNot even a drop at this one!
I had an epidural with my daughter, the NHS so provide them for free. They can slow labour down though and make it harder to get baby out due to not being able to feel anything/feel muchOK, this is me probably bringing my own lack of knowledge into it, but I thought for cost reasons, or whatever, epidurals aren't freely given for NHS births in the UK? No they dont. I have to do movement as part of my job and if i dragged someone backwards id loose my job. They are easier backwards but should go forwards.
I would say it’s to do with having the epidural. I don’t think they let you go straight away due to having a catheter. Have to pee a certain amount before they let you go! Naturally pee I meanNo looks like mummy Jane
Lazy by name lazy by nature!!!! Urrrrm this is her 4th baby she should be up and out- but no she’s milking it yet again. Don’t they usually discharge you after 6 hours- unless baby is born at night???!! We know he was born first thing in the morning!!! Unless of course they went private to have him- then she’ll probably be there for the foreseeable
The dragging through the hospital backwards was my absolute favourite bit. Never mind treating your poor poor pregnant wife with respect and kid gloves, must get content for the vlog. I usually cry at programmes like One Born Every Minute but this just left me cold. Of course, the baby is gorgeous and I'm pleased he got here ok, none of my loathing for Chris and Sarah is aimed at any of their kids. Was more excited about getting a ham sandwich as after all they will be celebrating the birth in a few hours. Dragged her round backwards on a wheelchair whilst she held onto all the luggage and called her ‘man’ several times.
Actually farsicle
Oh and hi Chris. He didn’t look blonde to me, actually reckon he’s ginger
I thought this, didn’t even kiss the top of her head or anything! He is absolutely vile and doesn’t deserve that beautiful baby boy!I thought Sarah handled the labour really well - I was really struck though by the lack of physical contact between Chris and her throughout though, he didn’t appear to be giving her any comfort or encouragement. He even seemed to keep smirking like he was enjoying her pain. I thought her holding the baby was quite sad, she looked vulnerable and he still offered her nothing - surely most husbands would have given their wife a kiss or something?! Can’t believe they didn’t do skin to skin first thing. I hope the baby does have ginger hair because I love ginger hair and think Esme’s is beautiful.
