The irony of this. Back in late 2018, Tom of DVCstore (the owner) reached out to Pete as they had been a long time advertiser on DISboards and wanted to increase the role they played. Since I really had no job at the DIS and had been there over a year, I jumped to take over that project. Early 2019 rolled around we met with their staff a number of times and I suggested to Pete that we do a DVC show and he should purchase a DVC contract to better understand what he is trying to sell to people. (Pete and John had a contract in the 90s but kept that in the split so it had been 2 decades)

Pete LOST it on me. Fired me from the project, blocked me on his phone for days and just threatened me with anything he could throw at me because he thought I was trying to manipulate him into buying into DVC. I told him I wasn’t and genuinely thought it would make sense for him to know more about the product. He refused and just thought I wanted him to get DVC so that I could use his points. Eventually he calmed down and put me back over the project and within like 6 months he had multiple contracts. Last I knew he was around 1300 points but no idea now. But just the sheer level of tit I got for suggesting This radical concept of understand a product you sell, only for him to buy so much of it.

I did also create the text-in program that DVCstore still uses to this day. Slicktext was already a company but they hadn’t ever had the product used in that way, so people can just sign up and get a text alert when a contract comes up that fits their use year, price, resort and point number and it made it where people didn’t have a need to shop around because they would just get alerted by the target company. So I felt it was a good product for sure. -

none of that paragraph was relevant, im just bragging lol.
Seemingly every other week, Pete mentions that he buys DVC because he doesn't want his family to stay with them when he visits and tries to use it as a selling point, as though paying 20-30k for an extra room is a good idea. It almost seems like he has to convince everyone that he isn't terrible with money and that his investments have practical uses.

Sean, does Pete really do this? I've heard him meniton putting his mom up in the Wilderness Lodge cabins before, but I have a really hard time believing he actually just gives the rooms away that often.

He definitely does and the points do get used. I do know the value has gone up so it’s not a bad asset overall. The problem is that he does them as loans and those tend to float 10% and up on interest and he had not paid any of them off when I was there. He might have now but the interest is not worth it when you have the money to pay it off.

Sounds like he's not lying when he calls Monera the crack dealer of the DVC world.

Still can't believe they're okay with him calling them that lol

Speaking of Monera Financial, Amy Kreiger is almost as annoying as Erica. Granted a much more intelligent cleaned up version but the arrogance and vocal fry are so off-putting she adds little to the videos. They need to clean up the casting and revamp their on-air representation.

I do have a request if anyone knows how. When I first tried to make an account, I was auto-banned when I tried to make my first post. I was able to take over this account from a friend that had made it and was posting stuff.

I was contacted by Dustin, who used to be on the show. He found my posts here and he reached out to me and we had a great phone call and traded war stories. I think it was cathartic for both of us, since we both had a similar experience (but different enough) and it’s hard for people to understand or relate. Posting here helped me decompress, as I was not in a good place mentally this time last year and Dustin expressed interest in posting here, but wanted to be certain that this was a topic he wanted to revisit.

Mod edit, if you think the system has spammed someone by mistake contact mods in forum support or email. When someone joins the site its good to make a proper first post and not just post "hello"

I've never been too put off by her attitude.

But man, if anyone ever had a voice for print...

Someone called Erica out about her DAS pass in the comments and it was quickly deleted. She gets all defensive when someone dares to question her DAS pass in the comments. It's quite hypocritical to gush about your love for crowded concerts, enduring those endless merchandise lines, and indulging in lengthy dining reviews, while conveniently expecting everyone to believe that you can't stand in line for rides. People might just start questioning the purpose of that pass of yours.

I’m so over hearing about the Taylor Swift concert on the weekly show!! It’s the only thing she’s even remotely excited to talk about.

Ever since I've moved to the area I've noticed tons of girls abuse DAS. I've met up with at least 5 girls at the parks who use it for their "anxiety." I understand that some people really do need ot use the system, but come on, you're telling me you can go to one of the busiest places on the planet 4 or 5 times a week but your anxiety only kicks in when there's a 60 minute wait for Peter Pan?

It's so common. It isn't new either, a friend of mine brags about how he and his family got it in the early 2000s by pretending he was autistic. It's shameful, there actually are people with anxiety or some neurodivergence that need it. It's always been something that bothers me.

Assuming she's not just making something up, the girl must have it tough: she has bouts of anxiety completely tied to queueing for rides and a set of allergies tht seemingly change every week. And on top of all that she has to work her job where she is forced to visit the vacation capital of the world every day. The horror!

Thanks for the answers. Interesting to hear the backstory. That is how I found Pete in the first place - researching DVC purchase. And sounds just like Pete to think you were trying to manipulate him into buying DVC because you wanted DVC. He thought this because it is exactly what he would have done.

And so true about borrowing money to buy DVC. Such a bad financial decision as you say. Common advice to people considering buying DVC is pay cash. It is a luxury product that no one needs to borrow money to buy. You are prepaying for vacations - you lose all saving when you borrow money to do it. I paid cash for my contract. I guess I'm just not a financial genious like Pete.

My question is Pete doesn’t do the weekly show, he doesn’t do the dining show, he doesn’t do the universal show, there has been no Dreams show, he doesn’t go to the parks, he’s barely on the DVC show, John and Kevin run the day to day travel agency, so what the duck does Pete do all day now?

He scared off all his boy toys.

Watch: they'll hire a new 20 year old content writer who used to be a Peter Pan or a Kristoff and suddenly Pete will have a "renewed energy for the parks" and make 4 or 5 videos a week.

I get the impression that Pete doesn’t care about the park and dining videos or the crew of presenters. I’m guessing he’s just interested now in his take from the DVC and and the travel agency. I wonder if he even watches the videos to know how his “brand” is represented. Such an odd way to run a business.

@The Mando do you know what happened to Oliver? Pete only tolde that Oliver emailed Pete saying that he quit. Pete said it was because of Craig and Ryno that he quit. Supposedly Ryno cried really hard after Oliver just suddenly quit (probably because Ryno treated Oliver like tit).

I started watching the Dis Unplugged at the time when Oliver was still there and I remember being shocked when he suddenly vanished. I had no idea about all the drama that had transpired over the years. I followed Oliver's "This Orlando Life" until that suddenly stopped. I'll never forget spotting Oliver's ex as a waiter in the background of a Tim Tracker video at the Snow White character meal at Wilderness Lodge. It's the Disney Vlogger Multiverse!

I had never seen the shows with Dustin and "the other" Shaun. Dustin was gorgeous. Poor guy was like a gazelle in a lion's den. I'm glad he ultimately got out of there, even if it was a little too late (according to what has been revealed on the boards).

I know Fiasco was polarizing, but I thought he was adorable. Probably for the best that he left though.
Listen let’s not pretend like Oliver wasn’t the same as all of them. Oliver used his ex-husband to get his American citizenship and as soon as he had it they were divorced. That’s why his channel died. Oliver was absolutely right to leave the Dis after how Pete treated him. He was absolutely wrong in his subsequent actions. Spencer certainly wasn’t the brightest bulb and I have no idea if this was some sort of conspiracy or agreement but it was absolutely a scam of the system because as soon as Oliver was sworn in as a citizen, that marriage ended. Oliver turned on his “friends” the same way Pete and Ryan did the minute they were no longer useful. The is after Dustin’s time and before Sean’s, so neither of them have first hand knowledge of this little part of DIs cultish lunacy.

Pete tried to force Oliver to work on a night his parents were visiting from the UK. Oliver had told Pete this weeks in advance. Pete berated Oliver in front of the whole staff for not coming to film him at a dinner that Pete had with his family, minutes before the show went live. Oliver had enough and emailed Pete that he quit later that night and spent the next few days with his visiting family. And I highly doubt Ryan cried about any of it. Ryan refused to even hang out with Oliver after he left because Pete dictates who his staff can associate with and Ryan is a heartless narcissist who has no ability to feel an emotional attachment about anything and didn’t wanna lose his job.
