Isn't that the truth!? There are a lot of people coming and going from there and who knows who all those who live and work there gossip to. Even PJ probably talks to someone who talks to someone ...

I can't imagine living knowing people in my own home are gossiping so hard ... personally I would just feel so unsafe, not knowing who to trust ... I'd lay down my camera and kick them all out and just let Gerry and Mini Apron back ... maybe Nic and Marie, but I bet Potts and Ruthie are gossipy, .... and let's be honest, Steffie has said she loves a good gossip ... so there you go, you attract like people to you.
Well doesn’t that fit part or the Marie Antoinette fantasy. The gossip, the intrigue, the sexual romps, betrayal. The fun and games and we all know how that ended!

I really don't think he is in love with her ...... its the chateau and the thought of poucing around in it that he loves.
In fact - if Nic Tightpants ever waved a look in his way ...... he would be off like a rocket to live in Scotland in Nic's place and design porcelain items an smelly candles together.

Philip seems like a very devoted type. Can a gay man be that devoted to someone he has no love interest in? Spending all night in a car while his "girlfriend" is in the hospital. I don't know, I was convinced he was gay, but I'm going with he's bisexual, or still in denial to himself and thinks he is straight.

Does anyone feel a tad concerned about how many people she brought into keeping her secret? I don’t think I have known anyone go to such lengths to hide a relationship in my life. Fair enough, other people I know are not on YouTube but that is very controlling behaviour and also, very controlling over maintaining an image she wants to protect, which is what narcissists do.

My fiancee and I are just two years younger than Philip and thus belong to the same generation. She and I don't bounce back and forth from she/her, he/his, they/them, zi/zey, it/that, bro/bruh.
oh, my, you're younger even than I thought! (you're so precious! :) not a wrinkle yet!)

I'm honestly relieved for you two. I see so many struggling to figure it out. We had a young woman work with our son for a while and it was like she was struggling to figure out which sexual orientation she was, and was so anxious about it and thinking so hard about it. I think she settle on something like fluid for now, because she can't figure it out ... but yeah, between the gender and sexual orientation, the amount of anxiety is through the roof. I work with 18-25 year olds and about 6 years ago now we noticed the number with anxiety just went through the roof. Though I have had some of your generation also tell me that its like having a mental health issue, particularly anxiety, has become trending, and everyone has it or thinks they do.

They are certainly struggling in very different ways then my generation, in all kinds of ways.
I'm Gen X, "The Forgotten Generation." It's fine- we like being in the shadows- we're a bunch of resilient latch-key survivors (except for Fanny). I do chuckle at the Boomer vs Millenial stuff (they are the same), and Gen Zs express, "The 80s was amazing! I wish I grew up back then!" Oh no, bebays, you would not survive a day in the 80s! No one had computers, cell phones, Amazon, credit cards, Instagram, parents (parents were more like adult people who just lived in your house- they had no real interest in what you were actually doing because they had their own lives- "just stay out of jail"), and it wasn't cool to be nor act gay. (My awesome cousin was gay, though, and I didn't care because he was hella awesome even though my uncle disowned him.) I can't even imagine trying to be a kid or young adult today where everything you do is all over social media.

I'm so sorry he died last month. He dodged a bullet - in the truest sense. You really did him a service and a great kindness. What a wonderful lovely gift you gave him - the gift of just able to be himself. Just such a kind thing to do. I always feel horrible when people feel they have to hide a part of themselves. Like I think I said here - my husband's friend (never married in his early 50's no girlfriends, insists he is straight) who my husband screeched "he can't be gay - he's a MARINE 😶" ummm ok... let's go watch the 300 or Top Gun shall we?? He also gave a LONG speech at our wedding about wrestling as a young and, singlets, sweat,, skin against skin.... eh ehm....Anyway i feel terrible that at this late stage in his life - he can't be who he is - HE can't Love!! Who he really loves.... that makes me sad. Again, you did just a wonderful thing - I'm sorry you will miss him.
Thank you, he was lovely guy. He tried the 'I'll date a girl to see if I can be straight' thing, but it lasted about 5 minutes. When I introduced him to my friends downtown, it was like watching a flower bloom. He grew more comfortable with being his true self while surrounded by other people who were trying to come to terms with their own identities...it was a far more supportive place than being stuck in some racist/homophobic county where he would have been beaten up for showing any semblance of being gay. I would have felt awful if I hadn't had made any effort to let him see what could be rather than leaving him stuck out there. I've always had gay friends and had gay relatives and advocate where I can. It's terribly sad your husbands friend can't be his true self. I have an aunt who was married 40 years before divorcing her husband and taking up with the biggest diesel dyke you've ever seen....better late than never I say. Love is love as long and as it's between consenting adults, who the hell cares? Thanks again, I'm glad I had him in my life. Also, newsflash for your hubs, marines enjoy a bit of cock and bum fun like any other branch of the service do.;)

I'm Gen X too, on the older end of it. I'm so glad we didn't have all the technology. Honestly, I think I had a much better youth because of it. But yeah, you sure didn't want to be gay in the 1980s, or any little bit quirky or nerdy. Gosh, I was embarrassed to wear glasses. I remember the drama kids walking through jock hall in high school and they were verbally taunted most times. We were very segregated into type of people. The headbangers had one area, the jocks another, all the asian kids hung out in one of the basement hallways playing ping pong ... the brains, the nerds, and then there were some of us in the middle that I called floaters, we could kind of move around and not be specifically in one of the more defined groups. We did have some awesome music though! Best party music on the planet! When I get to VIP we're going to have a shag in the VIP lounge, like a dance shag, not sex, you pervs! I have to get there before that wanna be VIP dude though!!!

The threads are running faster than French dogs! How can only fifteen internet idiot hater yentas produce so much prose?

Let's try to recap a little.

The previous thread started light-hearted with some fun over the Viagra blue room. Tattlers were not impressed. I personally don't really care how she decorates her pile of rocks but a table in front of a door is plain weird and a flower vase balanced over a door is just a concussion waiting to happen.

Another Channel 4 project got some comments, too. How does she drain a lake, create a shitshow about the hoops she needs to jump to get it back and then goes on to drain a pond without permits?

Falling ceilings have become so common place in the Shatoo at this point that the owners just open a bottle of wine and not many even care to comment. At least no one has died. Yet.

Most debate still took place over the outing of the Douche Dutch Boyfriend. Was it all planned? Is Snorty behind the leak? Stefanny says it was a misunderstanding. Probably because she doesn't want to get kicked out of the show like the Methricks. People have different theories but Stefanny looked like she got prick by a hedgehog. I would say she got caught with her knickers around her ankles but she doesn't wear any.

After using the extremely scientific method of this-is-how-it-looked-to-me, I can say that few Tattlers thought the age difference makes the relationship icky and eww but most don't really care. I think Snorty should finish his education and Stefanny, as the one with more life experience, should push the hobosexual back to school. Seems like she might just do that if not only to get rid of him in the future. I'm only thinking what's best for Snorty and not my snort-free viewing experience.

The employer-employee aspect bothered a lot of people, especially on the other side of the pond but not as much on this side. It's just not such a taboo in Europe though it is a bit more complicated matter. We'll see how her largely American audience reacts to hiring a personal rentboy. And is his job title now an escort? Or a toy boy? What exactly he gets paid for? Does she only pay for his time and everything else that happens is between consenting adults? (If you get that reference, you need to clean your browser history.)

Most cringe entertainment was offered by the live Q&A (thank you @MojoDublin).
Snorty was desperate to talk about their relationship while Stefanny looked embarrassed and tried to deflect. Best part was when Snorty talked about marriage. He has clearly thought about it. Stefanny has a very distinctive fake laughter which she uses a lot so it was very refreshing to hear her genuine laughter to Snorty's ridiculous idea of a marriage. I want that scene on replay. Other than that, the Q&A was a typical train wreck with no updates on anything important. Where's the money going?!

If I may comment on the debate about being deceived (and I may because this is Tattle and all opinions are welcome and that's something the haters on Patreon don't get), I understand wanting to keep a fresh relationship out of the public eye but as time went on, they employed clear tactics to dupe the viewers. For example, Snorty's move to another room was all about smoke and mirrors. The word is out and spreading fast so they need to come clean on YouTube and carry on. But Stefanny is blowing it out of proportion, making herself the victim and raking in the money. It's all about deceiving, duping and defrauding.

From defrauding we get to the employment issues at the Shatoo. I gave her the benefit of the doubt of possibly employing Nutty and Snorty legally but that possibility has been put to the test. She may be hiring them as self-employed contractors in order to avoid her responsibilities as an employer. Well, she's in for a surprise when Inspection du travail finds out what's going on (report her, please). I wonder what her co-owners, Potty and Baggy, think of being partly responsible and coincidentally each being liable for up to a 45000 euro fine and three years' imprisonment. Or, with aggravating circumstances like multiple breaches over several years, it's up to 100000 euros in fines and ten years in prison. I'm expecting a vlog from Potty and Baggy on their life as prison witches.

Oh my, I might be a little hungover and horny but I'm trying to catch up on Chateau DIY. What is my life?

Nevertheless, I wish all the best to the Queen of Lalande and his Sugar Mummy.
Rock on Jikki!

I also want to add, when you consider the extreme lengths she has gone to in order to keep the relationship secret, involving other chateau owners, guests, volunteers, etc, in her deceit, you have to ask why? Why did she have to lie and hide her relationship from her audience - does she not trust them? Then why should we trust her? I think this was always about her image and her reputation, which she needs to keep intact to keep getting money. The amount of people who have defended her actions is bizarre - do they like being lied to, they are just enabling her.

Yup, same. Though I was an odd ball artist who moved to the states from Germany in the 10th grade, so I had to make friends and started playing sports (not really my thing but it helped) but I was friendly with everyone...jocks, nerds, heads, band geeks, never mattered to me. After high school, I was a punk rocker with a mohawk...my attitude was (and still is) haters aren't worth letting live in your head rent free. Eff them if they had no appreciation of anything but the status quo. It was a lot harder back then to be different from what was considered the norm. I'm just grateful I lived near two decent sized cities on the east coast and could avail myself to the cultural activities in them where people were more accepting of differences. Definitely hit it out of the park music wise...and the clubs were pretty off the hook as well back then.

I always wondered where the term “Gen X” came from, then I learned the origin. It was coined in the United States. A generation is loosely defined as a twenty year span. Generation X consists of people born roughly between 1965 - 1985, with 1976 (the American Bicentennial) falling in the middle of the period. “X” is the Roman Numeral for “10.” So…Generation “X” is the 10th (“X”) generation since the American Revolution (200 years divided by 20 years per generation = 10 generations, or “X”). Pretty cool!

I have no idea where the term Generation Z originated! 😆

They are hard-working, level headed and have a great sense of humour. Sure, they have a weekly sponsor, but that generates an additional revenue source for them. If one had two choices for a B&B- stay at LaLande or stay at Honfleur, most would probably choose Honfleur, as one can be assured the ceiling is not going to cave in, the bedding is clean, the heating system is operational, and a proper breakfast would be served at a set time.) Neither Philip nor Anna make extravagant purchases- they are frugal, and the money they do spend is for the betterment of their chateau. They embrace French life, and are passionate about the area they live in.
AND they live 5 minutes from a very cool area that’s actually a destination.

I think it must have been exhausting to keep up that pretense. For what? It all comes out in the wash at some point. She says it was to keep that part of her life private, which I respect, but if that was truly the case, she didn't need to lie in the first place. All she needed to do was to avoid filming the bits where they supposedly went off to their separate sleeping quarters and simply not talk about it..that's all. When she did film those parts, all it did for me was raise suspicion that she was trying to hide something. Without being professionals paid to diagnose people, we've come to the conclusion that she has narcissistic tendencies. People with those traits have a profound need to control the narrative. People who defend her actions are enablers. Both are sad.

I believe she herself was very very uncomfortable with the relationship. I think she herself has qualms about their age difference. Watching her body language and face on the live Q&A told me she still feels uncomfortable with it. And @Clara Burnett has said that most of those in her real life don't approve of or like Philip .... so if she's half ways aware, she will know that, and that will have influenced her too.

I understand wanting privacy. But if that is really important to you, and if you really love the person you're with, you don't put them on camera with you. You protect your relationship. If you're in the public eye you protect your family and friends ... big name celebrities who are real famous (not YT channel famous) find ways to do this. They keep children and significant others from the freaking paparazzi ... she didn't do a very good job of the privacy.

And yes, image, at least in this way, seems to matter to her (but for some reason running around all sloppy in a robe doesn't?). And the money matters, and the being liked matters ....

The people like being love bombed, as I said in an early post today. It makes them feel good, and they will defend her until their eyes are truly opened. But that will be painful for them, and we humans like to avoid pain ...

I agree ... now how to we become the Tattle Match Making Service and get them connected? :)
Good question...perhaps one of the moles here will take this info somewhere where the two of them will see it? I don't know, but they do seem far better suited for each other.

If Phyllis were actually attracted to SJ (not just the money) he would make more of an effort for her to put more than a 100 Stars robe on while flouncing around all of the workers all day long. SH lives for attention and for keeping her little secrets.
