I'm confused. I thought Philippa suggested hanging it in one of the apartments and SJ said that was too far and that she wanted to hang it in the Grande Salon where everyone would be forced to see it.

Yes, I thought I heard him say to hang it in the "gardener's cottage"...but I'm old and my hearing isn't all that great.

Kilts are traditional for the Celtic nations of Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Steve's tartan is not registered as a Welsh or Irish tartan. As far as I can see, it isn't a traditional Scottish tartan either. There is a very similar tartan in a "party" kilt - currently selling for around £20. Otherwise, this might be a Canadian/ American tartan, possibly one he has designed for himself. It certainly seems to be a fairly common thing to do. Maybe connected with his Scottish festival in Ontario?

I have a friend who works in a kilt shop. They have Japanese tourists who design their own tartans as well.
History wise, as a lot of Scottish men and women were sent to the Colonies through some misdemeanor or other then a lot of business also comes from their ancestry. We had a long conversation one evening, I was a bit worse for wear so not got all of the details.
I do however have a rather snazzy kilt, which I sometimes wear to impress Mrs G. It is an easy wear at a formal function and I can attest to the fact that it enables one to eat a lot without any effort. If only I had thought of it at Christmas

I was having a snack of my favorite Harvest Snaps when I started watching this but lost my appetite when her father's paintings started taking center stage....some people may like his "art" but to me it's vomit inducing....I swear, I'm definitely NOT a prude, but to think that he was a genius for that tripe!...with all the vajayjays and tits and little peckers and balls or twigs and berries, whatever you want to call them...it's almost like childrens drawings....this woman has a seriously twisted mind if she thinks her father's erotica is appropriate for a daughter to worship.

I couldn't edit my previous post- to say...No amount of framing could ever make that painting look good!

Also, Philip's little drawing managed to include a tribute to Derek with a phallic tower!

The other painting of the gardener's bonking is truly awful. How can that make anyone happy when you're working? Unless of course it is a different profession!

I don't think I have heard Philippa saying anything positive or anything at all about Daddy Dearest's paintings. Plenty about the framing though. I wonder if Philippa was hoping if he suggested the cottage that the painting would be out of sight. They certainly are not his style. He may even be embarrassed by them, I know I would.

But not everyone's on the scrounge... Anna and Peter (Château La Croix Honnet) stated in their last vlog that they don't believe in asking other
people for money to renovate their home through Patreon or BMAC. Other examples: 'Château Memoirs' and the Château de la Grifferaie.

One of the last videos from Chateau de la Grifferaie he stated they were looking at Patreon to help pay for repairs/maintenance.

I used to envie them all since they have company during the pandemic but now I realize I might be better of at least I can watch CD and tattle. What do they have to have some escapism?

Oh dear Lord! Not seen any of these fabled paintings yet, as I don't watch many of Princess Stephanie's vids. There's a chateau for sale in the Sarthe region, that WAS an Art Summer School. Various pics of the inside exist. The art is very dark, lots of black/greys.. and would make excellent firewood on cold nights. I'd rather keep those ghastly things than that blob being hung in the image above. I know daughters idolise their daddy, but.. SURELY There have got to be other ways of idolising him than THIS!

Either SJ was having a little drinky poo while editing today's edition or BJJ was editing...or maybe "man of all but none" trades, Steve was...because the beginning of the vlog when Ian is discussing the cement truck and the film crew are leaving it is all jumpy and out of order. Disjointed. Weird. Great pay for great work. Not!

She'll get scammed into paying way too much for another damp and moldy heap that will not raise in value no matter how much she does to it. After all the money she has dumped into the HMN it still hasn't increased in value, that's because she paid too much for it begin with and really hasn't done anything to improve its worth. Too much money spent on decorating and accumulating junk which does nothing for the value of the structure. She states that this doesn't bother her (yeah, I bet) because it's her forever home. I'd be pretty disappointed and more than a little embarrassed.

Kilts and tartans are traditional for Welsh too. The best traditional Welsh costumes are for women with those incredible hats!

After forcing myself to watch the CD vlog, I then thought I would brave our resident quiet man Selmar. He was very excited for kings day- what a treat! Three years worth of Kings day, with the excitement of balloon blowing to funny games.
In a year, there doesn't seem to be an improvement on the way he presents his vlogs to be honest.
I am impressed with his wardrobe though. Top marks for that.
