To be honest, not having Isabelle converse with you would hardly be a disincentive!
I can't stand that old bat. I'd speak high pitched on purpose just so I wouldn't have to listen to her!
But to put a fine point on it, who would do that to their child? Lead by example, show them the correct way to speak, send them to elocution lessons, whatever. But don't punish your child by refusing to speak to them because they don't "sound right" to you. (ETA: I don't have children but I had fairly decent parents and they would never have treated me like this).
I really hate that old biddy. IMO, she's to blame for her daughter's actions. Both are greedy old windbags!

Lord knows how much was spent on the ill-fated irrigation system in the kitchen garden. Digger Matt and Dan spent days and days on that particular big fat fail project. They managed to connect the supply to one outside tap but Dan’s Heath Robinson efforts at laying pipes for a self-watering system was an abject failure. Money and time completely wasted.
It’s months since SJ said that Kirstie was on the case about getting prices for the installation of a proper watering system. That seems to have been forgotten about.

When Anna was talking about her wallpaper design for the dressing room, she mentioned having the paper professionally printed in England and perhaps exploring going into production of her designs for sale. Which is a natural progression and I’m sure it would be very successful.
My initial thought was why on earth she’d chose to take her design to an English company, as France isn’t exactly bereft of companies which produce exclusive wallpaper! Remembering that the Fleiries have used Farrow & Ball paint through the house (possibly a collab?), I wondered if there were ideas in the pipeline for Anna to work with F&B on wallpaper design. A quick visit to the F&B website and I discovered that they will be launching the Purnon collection! Based on wallpaper fragments discovered at Ch. Purnon.

They are beyond ridiculous- who is actually going to do the washing up? (Did Fanny smuggle Dishpan Dave along for the ride in her luggage?) For a normal human being- takeaway is just eaten from the disposable container, as no one has time for that (hence, the name, "takeaway.") Why the fork bother to plate that ish, let alone, put out tiny containers for condiments that come in packets? SMH, this is just Fanny trying to appear above her station. "Look at ME, I am so posh!" No, if anything, you look like a deranged idiot.

Thank goodness people are telling her that the room is even worse than it was before she started. Not that Fanny will listen. It really is ghastly. How can she have so little taste? Do the renovations, then decorate with the help of a professional designer. AND STOP that idiot buying more at auction. Your chateau looks like a cross between a junk shop and a charity shop, spotted by a random collection of expensive and tasteless items - and, I have said it before - your father's artwork does nothing for the chateau. By all means, put some on display in one room and store the rest - preferably in those containers. What a mess.
