He did just sell out a Commemorative Christmas Tree Ornament in 24 hours so his supporters clearly didn’t feel it was trashy. Choosing to be a Patron is absolutely discretionary; no one is forced to participate. He doesn’t ignore his viewers, he frequently answers their questions and responds to comments verbally in his vlogs. I am not gifted to see into the future but from what I have seen so far I believe he will achieve the restoration. Furthermore he has returned on more than one occasion to work on the former family home.
We can agree to disagree. Below are just a few posts about my concerns with Dan, his professionalism, manipulation of views/ info/ lack of transparency/ changing narratives, etc., , recklessness, fear porn, etc. It doesn’t matter how beautifully something is filmed, if the underlying purpose is to manipulate, gain money from a plan never to be achieved, lack of engineers, construction experts, concrete plans, etc. He is following his mentor Shittelaine‘s smoke and mirrors, no numbers or experts ever shown, conflicting narratives, no transparency ( just believe what I say without any supporting documentation or input on video from experts, abou costs, construction techniques, ownership, absences, etc.

tit on the home of his children. His yurt is in better shape than the home in which his children reside.Dan did Movember for dual purposes, raise money for charity, publicity for himself, content by dying his hair, using the charity fundraiser to push a personal public persona of caring.
Put it in perspective. If you assume as true that Dangerous Dan has 388,000 subscribers ( who knows how many are purchased?), he sold 500 ornaments, so .0012% of his viewers purchased ornaments, but Dan grossed a quick $20,000 for Christmas less manufacturing costs and costs.

Dan has a very flippant, entitled, arrogant, dismissive disrespectful attitude towards his viewers and Patron ( much like his mentor, the Shittelaine). He doesn’t interact, read comments, respond to questions, is not transparent with ownership, safety, engineering, construction issues/ techniques, etc. After manipulating viewers through his fear porn videos, he then routinely disappears for day/days with no notice, to amp up his views, etc. His sarcastic flippant, see ya tomorrow bullshit.
Is he currently pulling in 30,000 dollars/ euros a month? He didn’t disclose his Egypt vacation in his YouTube videos, he just included photos of his Egyptian vacation on his Instagram. He is incredibly manipulative with his viewers/Patrons and some are finally beginning to see the truth about manless, planless, ( and if he isn’t more careful, “ lifeless”) Dan. There may come a point where many viewers will bail and he will not be able to add new viewers to make up the difference.
He deliberately doesn’t follow basic construction techniques, safety rules, and continues to wear/use no safety gear to amp up his fear porn theme.YouTube ratings/ subscriptions/ and Patreon support has only added to his bloated ego.
He pretended to be homeless.Dan can stay in his man cave at Annalise’s abode, at his grandfather’s home, Dana’s spare bedroom, or likely, at the Dump. He may be manless and planless but he is not homeless.
He routinely manipulate viewers with cheap tricks to try to increase his views. He does something risky, says“ see ya tomorrow“ and then disappears for a few days to stress out viewers.

IMHO at this time, Dan never intends to finish reconstructing the crispy chateau. He is just using it as a living stage/background for his danger and fear porn entertainment YouTube channel and Patreon. If, in one year, he is now pulling in $30,000 per month and his channel is growing rapidly, he might be able to double that amount within the next six months, especially after exposure on a television show. At his current rate of $30,000 per month he would pull in $360,000 per year. If he double that amount he can pull in $720,000 per year. He doesn’t spend very much on the crispy château itself. If he can pull this off for 2 to 3 years. He pockets a large sum of money. Is his Patreon a nonprofit or will it be turned into a nonprofit soon?
I believe he’s pulling a Stephanfraudie and he’s collecting views and Patreon monies for a project that will never be completed and will likely be abandoned within the next 2 to 3 years after he has pocketed a substantial sum of money and found another scheme / youtube project, etc. or the chateau will collapse and he will walk away. He has watched Stephanfraudie tell hundreds of lies and rake in over a million tax free dollars with less than 10% of the work accomplished that she promised to do at the Dump. Dan repeatedly sets up fear situations in his videos, them disappears for days without letting viewers know he hasn’t fallen to his death at the crispy chateau. Recall he got called out by viewers when he ended a video with his “ see ya tomorrow” and then went missing in action for a few days,
He isn’t taking the project seriously and is failing in following accepted construction standards in what he has accomplished so far. He isn’t serious about renovating and restoring the crispy château.
He found a property with a history that he could use to manipulate viewers and audiences, and pull on their heartstrings to get them to root for him, the perpetual underdog. Recall his narrative to the online magazine that he had just broken up with his partner of 14 years, and that the crispy château saved him from all of his pain, etc. Bullshit. Recall that he conveniently forgot to mention his Dump sidepiece of the past couple of years, Kat, who eased his “ pain” over the dissolution of the 14 year relationship and became his yurt hook up.
He is intentionally setting up his danger/ fear porn/ woe is me narrative in his videos, e.g., he refuses to use equipment that he has on site to lift the rocks up to the appropriate floor. He wants to video himself lugging pail after pail of rocks up a ladder because it suits his storyline.( does he only do this when the camera is rolling? ) He doesn’t wear helmets, respirators, gloves, etc. because he wants to look like “cool” danger Dan. He has perfected his dismissive.” Cool” See ya tomorrow with a hand swipe persona inserted at the end of his videos.
By failing to have a complete realistic plan for the crispy château, failure to be transparent with viewers and patrons about the exact plans for the building, who actually owns the property, the mystery structural engineers, failure to listen to advice, answer viewer question/concerns, the approximate cost to rebuild the château, etc., he is asking viewers in Patrons to blindly trust his words. Do his actions match his words? It doesn5 matter how hard you physically work if you are doing shoddy work/ inadequate construction/ unsafe/ dangerous work.
