I'm using @Just Grift Wood's photo here......

What is this meat thing? Yesterday, when I saw the picture, I thought it was ham and commented it didn't look like any ham I'd ever had.
Is it roast beef maybe? It does sort of resemble some sort of Spanish ham......Iberico maybe, but I don't see much fat on it. It looks other worldly, that much I do know!
And now that I look at the triangle thing on this plate, I thought it was some sort of savory pastry yesterday. Now that I look at it closer, it almost looks like a really thin frittata or quiche. Maybe they made it in a large sheet pan so they could make it up in large quantities and serve it.

In any event, it's still what I called it yesterday...a very inexpensively made meal. When she says a "light lunch" she means light on the budget, too!

Have to disagree with you - and so will the congregation at St. Paul's Cathedral this evening with the first official rendition of God Save the King.

"According to a briefing document for Parliament on the Coronation: “On the death of the reigning monarch, the person entitled to succeed to the throne does so as soon as his or her predecessor dies, as summed up in the phrase: 'The King is dead; long live the King!'.”

This is because of the “common law that the King never dies”.

@Shari Holloway- here are the ones (most are video clips that you can click on) that @KitKat_theNewRat posted from a Patron's IG page. Poor adorable girl- you could see by her reflection in the loo mirror she was chuffed to be there with her mate! I won't take that away from her.

Helllo tattlers
After some time away I wanted to check back in find out the goss on those patreon days but it seems like I’m too early for any big news (and too late for the pre excitement 😅).
In my attempt to find something myself, I was scouring through Instagram. It’s not from the patreon days, but about two weeks ago, a guest (I think) posted some videos from chateau, showing the current state of the grand salon:

Just thought I’d share in case someone hasn’t seen it yet! Also I never noticed that crazy bathroom behind the other salon!

Fanny Fish Eyes just sent an email on Patron and this is the food already plated in the kitchen by Nutti.Truly they plated this so this was all the patrons got I thought it was a buffet but it really was a very very light lunch she is a piece of work.
Any hints as to what the triangular 'thingy' is on the plates?

Waddup, Yentas!

Poppin’ in to express my deepest sympathies to all here who are citizens of the UK and my fellow Commonwealth subjects over the passing of Her Majesty, the Queen. President Macron said it well: Elizabeth II was indeed THE Queen to the rest of the world! As my wife and I are currently in London, there is a very palpable heaviness of heart across the city, but we also sense the people’s hope for the future in the power and beauty of continuity. The Queen is dead. Long live the King. 🇬🇧👑

What was Stephanie thinking when she and her cohort sang “God Save the Queen” when there is now a new king? How can she not know that protocol/tradition/logic as a Brit? Is she just that dense?🤯

One of my favourite anecdotes involving Her Majesty happened during a visit to Buckingham Palace by the then newly elected Australian Prime Minister John Keating. Shown into his private meeting with Her Majesty, she apologised for the short delay, asked if he'd been looked after during his wait and offered him a drink, which he declined. Apparently she pressed several times, a whisky perhaps, and was politely rebuffed. Into discussions PM John Keating told Her Majesty that it was the intention of his government to steer Australia towards leaving the Commonwealth and becoming a republic. Quite taken aback, Her Majesty asked why, to which John Keating explained how Australia's wealth and the continent's location within Australaisa lead the country into new realms of possibility. He explained our deeper ties our to Asian neighbours, more trade and commerce with Pacific and Asian trading partners, and that Australian growth and prosperity was not a thing that Great Britain would a part of in moving Australia forward. Mr. Keating apparently said, "To put it simply ma'am, Australia doesn't need you any more."

Shocked at this news, and quiet for a long time, Her Majesty finally said "Well, I think we'll have that drink now". After pressing her buzzer to alert staff that she wanted something, a footman appeared and was told "Two whiskies if you'd be so kind." Then turning to John Keating she said "And what will you have Prime Minister?"
He was PM Paul Keating! He shook my hand when I became an Aussie citizen 25 years ago, and I really did not like him then. But more recently he has been making a lot of sense regarding our newly rejected Liberal/National (LNP) combined Federal government. IMHO we will move closer to a Republic now that The Queen is no longer our head of state. Australia is now a very multi cultural country. But it won't happen until a suitable period of mourning has passed.

I suspect it is piece of bread.
How exciting..Not!

I wondered if Stephanie had a couple of Botox injections. At least in her forehead area, there were two roundish bulges, one on each side of her forehead. I also noticed in the vlog, her forehead didn't really "move" with her eyebrows as it normally does.

With regard to the Kenyan news screenshot, there was another one from India, where the chyron called Charles "Queen Charles". I couldn't get a good shot of it that would make sense because the screen was busy as heck, and in whatever language it was, but I just saw "Queen Charles" in English. That Indian station was certainly bringing the same energy as the Kenyan station!
In Zimbabwe they once announced on live TV that Queen Elizabeth the Eleventh (Elizabeth II) had arrived in the country. It caused huge amusement.

Erm... Let's put things into perspective. Dan, is/was the gardener until he got infected with vlogitis. Yes he can do basic cooking and everyone is a waiter.
If my gardener started poncing about filming himself for YouTube I'd become fractious. He wouldn't be working for me for much longer.

Once, the queen was visiting NZ and came to my town to visit a horse stud with some connection to her. My younger sister and I found out when her flight was coming in and we stood outside the airport entrance - noone else was around! As her car came out of the airport, we stood there waving and she turned to look at us and did the royal wave. This was in stark contrast to my memories as a kid of 5 at the Farmborough airshow in England and my dad picking me up and pointing through the vast crowds to someone in the distance who was Princess Anne. I couldn't see whom I was supposed to be looking for. :D

To be fair, that probably wasn’t instigated by her. Usually when there is a big event like this updates happen rapidly.
The Cambridges haven't had their Wikipedia pages updated yet...............

OMG old Meghan Markle has had her Wikipedia page updated already to: Daughter in law of King Charles the 3.
These narcs are something else aren't they.
Her chances of ever seeing him again are slim.

I've been wondering about that, what will happen to the Commonwealth without the Queen. It was her pet project and I think she held it together.

I have my very own King Charles, I call him Charlie. I’m sleeping with him.
Awwww. Wuzza fuzzy wuzzy. Srsly, what a cute dog.

I hope you all had a wonderful time! Sorry I missed the festivities because it all looked so fun and the whole family was there but I had to go to the Queen’s Jubilee! And after yesterday’s terrible events I’m glad I did even though I only caught the views of King Charles’s back side at Buckingham Palace and Meghan’s hat and the back of Prince Harry’s head at St Paul’s😆! A few hours of visiting with the lovely LaLande Family or very brief glances of the back of royalty? It was a very tough call 😂!

Everyone looks so happy. It’s apparent that all the Le Landers pitched in and pulled off a beautiful party. It seems the weather played its part, too. I loved looking closely at the photos and recognizing so many people I “know” if only from the wonderful, engaging vlogs. Thank you, all.

I don’t know what world she inhabits but the Jubilee was months ago. I’m not sure which I would prefer a view of Charles’ backside or lunch at Lie Lande. 😳

I like prosciutto, but not like they served it. It’s is very hard, very salty, you need melon or something like that to cut it. I usually use it as a rolled meat for charcuterie, but with cheeses, fruits, breads. It looked like some kind of sad main course. They could have done something much more palatable.

They are still called nursing homes here in the US as far as I’m aware. And a lot of them are run like Derek and Izzy’s as elderly warehousing. Horrible, one guy here in Louisiana evacuated his nursing homes during Hurricane Ida to an actual, un-airconditioned warehouse and essentially abandoned them there. So many died. It’s terrible unless you have big bucks and can afford specialty care facilities.
That is so sad and disturbing to hear! The elder care facilities in our area are generally called long term care here- Health and Rehabilitation Centers- that type of wording. I don’t see “nursing home” being used here In the tacitly names any more. We are in the southern region in U.S. There are some that are good- decent- but they are tough to find. We found this out when we had an elderly friend that found himself needing to get his strength back after a fall (He was 87 at the time and turned 88 before he got well enough to return home). Once he could be released from hospital care to a rehab type facility he landed in a not so good one. He was miserable there and lost so much weight- but was in fairly good shape as far as getting up and down again and having mobility. This was during height of Covid Pandemic too so it was amazing he didn’t get it. We did get him moved to an acceptable place and he got so much better. We had help in screening the rehab places through an attorney friend who represents nursing homes (elder care)- so she let us know which ones had good reputations and which ones had legal troubles with patients. Glad to say he turned 90 last month and is living in his own place now and has a caregiver that comes about his meals and gets him to Dr appts. But he’s overall in decent health now. It was touch and go for a while. My husband had become friends with him at our little community church- he has outlived all his family- wife, 2 sons, a sister- so my husband and another family friend from church are his POA’s now. We just never know who we’re going to meet and become part of their story. ❤ The cost of these long term care facilities is very expensive- about $6000 a month I hear. Assisted living is when the person can live on their own and have their own unit/apartment and eat meals in a dining hall usually. That is a very expensive way to live as well. Does make you wonder though how these homes get into all the peoples bank accounts!!! It’s sad that they can prey on these folks when they are the most vulnerable. *Also on our friend’s story/ he is also a Veteran and is now getting his benefits through the V.A.
