A quick note to say thank you to everyone who took the time to message me regarding 2 posts which were on our group page. Unfortunately, I was out of internet coverage until 8.30am this morning.
The posts have now been removed, the topic being discussed in both is a private matter between the individuals involved. It is something they will have to work on together to reach an amicable resolution for all parties.
Managerial issues at Chateau de Lalande, as with any work place, would be impelled to comply with the EU data protection laws regarding employees privacy. Therefore, I would expect this matter to be dealt with internally & privately.
In relation to the vlog, the video originated on Selmar's Patreon account, intended for his patrons only.
The fact it made its way onto You Tube, will be a matter of copyright that Selmar may or may not decide to follow.
As I have indicated as recently as this week, legally we cannot have videos playing within our group without the express permission of the producer/owner. It is NOT our intellectual property & the admin here would be breaching copyright laws.
I would like to request that all members respect this point.
If anyone requires any further clarification on this matter, I am not the person to ask, I am not or never have been a formal spokesperson for Stephanie Jarvis or Chateau de Lalande on such matters. I would suggest you drop them an email if you require further clarification.

indeed you can have your place fully heated but it comes at a high cost..that place must be so damp...never heated properly in winter...i imagine myself how the beds must smell in spring...We use gas...lucky we had our contract renewed before the prices started to rise...it worries me already what the prices gonna be when the contract ends...in three years time..a Paletburner isnt also very cheap to use..and it takes a lott of effort to keep the bunker filled...who is gonna do that at Lalande?? Where are they stalling the burner?? they dont have a cellar?? she also talks about the system is connected to the hot water...does this mean she has to keep the burner on in summer also??

@sewmanorandmaker OK, so this is very strange - this site has now suddenly disappeared from my followed accounts and feed.
As I mentioned before, the logo for this site was attached to a different account name when I did a search.
I’ll shut down my phone and re-start to see whether that helps… but you should do searches on names for your accounts to make sure that imposters aren’t out there.

I found it by searching for Germain… well, I found two. One is this one, though with a different title, and the other doesn’t have the drawing from this post as their logo.
One spells out “saint” and the other doesn’t.

Steph will be sniffing onions in preparation for a teary eyed introduction reporting on Selmar's flog.
Natti, will be falling back on language misinterpretation and assure us all that she is just a passionate woman and only flails her arms and stomps around because she was learning her Tango steps. Selmar misunderstood her passionata for these- those left footed boots didn't help and she apologises for any concern she may have caused him.
There will be a fluffing of instructions being lost on translation and Steph will laugh and blame herself whilst pointing out that Tatty had been living in the camper for two months with Selmar,so was safe, and they hadn't had a date due to Selmar's travel arrangements.
Camper van parking problems will be blamed on Selmar misunderstandings about the vital Shittoo works, which meant he needed to move and no one forced him.
All will be smoothed over as she reiterates her support of their adventures and offers more tantastic dance nights.
Philip will just snort in the background and agree and hope his fellow Dutch man will come back soon.

Despite this latest poll with apparently all sane (??? ) Patrons urging her to finally sort the heating out as opposed to the pretty stuff - there is no way that she will go with that advice and that I’m sure will be because of the mahoosive cost it will be.

We have what is a probably a larger than average house in France (but I’m guesstimating less than a 1/5 of the size of CLL) 4 reception rooms/4 bedrooms/kitchen/hallway & a large loft space which we converted to living space. When we bought in 2017 the state of it was probably comparable to CLL in terms of existing useless heating .. pipe work/radiators/no insulation/single glazed windows/thick stone walls etc. etc. One of the first things we did was to have a pellet heating system put in. We had 3 quotes (all local french businesses) and they all came back around the region of £80 -90,000!!! My husband is in the building business and we went through the quotes with a fine tooth comb but we ended up paying not a lot less than that. We also had to have a large silo built to house the pellets and the existing wall for that had to be strengthened so as not to buckle under the weight of the pellets when delivered. Before buying we had set aside money to do all the necessary building works but that swallowed up the major part of it. 4 years on I still don’t have the pretty stuff I was forever (still) dreaming of ……but it is lovely warm & not damp house …& the rest of it we are working on ourselves and now eventually making progress.



I can’t even begin to imagine what a quote for PROPERLY heating the sq m of that chateau would be….. especially if she is including all of the big open airy spaces of the new apartments. A couple of our quotes indicated that we were on the cusp of needing 2 x pellet burners for our thermo calculated space so CLL must be way WAY over that. The number of leaks they have indicates all the existing pipe work & radiators will need replacing for the system to work efficiently.

No way on this earth will SJ would consider spending the amount of money that would actually be required to properly sort it all out. It will always be far more vital to spend other people’s €000s having her inappropriate Versailles/Anglaise Jardins …. or wasteful unnecessary building works to put in new & extra symmetrical windows instead. (Why????) So it will either not be done at all(yet again) or it will be another useless & money wasting partly done bodge up job that will just delay the problems for a couple more years.
