Are they New Look ones , I had those when I was pregnant. Sometimes rippred jeans don't have enough material to sew them up because the gaps are too big to meet.

They are the new look ones. Couldn’t see the rips in the photo. I may add some other material into them then.

does anyone know how to get a number 3 router replcamenet. i dont know how but the bit in he router where im meant to plug in the charger is broken. ive called three one person said to upgrade and ill get a new router but werent telling me the price and another was telling to take to a store. i dont know what to do

If you were buying a second hand car, would you be more swayed by lower miles or a newer car? I have a £5k budget, which apparently doesn't get you much these days. My options seem to be either a 10+ year old car with lower average miles (for the age) or a higher mileage car still 8 or so years old.

Thanks everyone, I think splitting the day sounds like the best option. I usually spend a few days there so it will be a change to the usual but that seems the most sensible (and can’t believe I didn’t think of it before).

is anyone here a dab hand at sewing? I bought some maternity jeans on Vinted and - surprise - they have rips in the knees I’m having bad luck with black mat jeans so I’m just going to keep them and sew them up, but is there anything I should be aware of?

Just an update from my problem at the weekend
Phoned the police back after that harassment claim and apparently it was because I sent screenshots of my ex messaging me to his current girlfriends family. My ex and his girlfriend saying I sent her family sexual messages like yes I did they were screenshots of what your boyfriend was sending me and I sent them to your family to make you aware so I don’t get abuse and because you blocked me. Making out I sent random sexual images to her family

like what did they think I would say to the police over this? When they know I have screenshots that I sent to them apparently he didn’t even tell the police he was messaging me in March and a week after I snitched he done the claim.
Why waste police time on this petty thing and now he’s made himself a right tit even the woman on the phone sounded like she was face palming at it. She’s closed the case and said I had a lucky escape

Has anyone ever dealt with LookFantastic customer service?

I bought an Estée Lauder moisturizer from their website (worth €55) and the box arrived open. I reached out to them to ask for a refund or a replacement because it is a well-known fact that skincare products should not be used if the packaging is not sealed or is open.

They responded saying they will give me a £10 voucher instead. I can’t use the product because it is unsanitary for it to arrive with an open box. What is £10 going to do? Now they’re asking me a bunch of stupid questions such as ‘batch expiry date’ and ‘what is the exact issue’.

Honestly, if they can’t comprehend an open box is automatic return, then I don’t know what to say. You can’t even speak to them over the phone.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone frequently holiday in Japan? Or have been a few times? Am looking to go next year but not sure what the best time would be for me, ideally I'd like it to be when it's more quiet, I know a place like Japan is never going be quiet but surely there must be a point where it's not as hectic as it can get with say the cherry blossom season, I also can't handle heat, warm is fine an I'll even take cool or cold but I can't go when it's going be blazing sun

Thanks I'll try an do more formal complaints, we can't move her, it was difficult as it was trying to get her into this one as most have waiting lists for months or even years, an yes it's a pay per day, she's £50 a day which is paid monthly

I know that some nurseries won't wake her but we don't know if they are letting her sleep on her own or actually putting her down with a dummy to get her to sleep as all she can tell us is that she slept, she's too young to tell us that much details yet an the nursary will only give us the times she slept, but she has never went past a hour with us an she's getting almost 3h naps there, am honestly more pissed at the fact they have been giving her a dummy when we specifically told them under no circumstances is she to get one when we took her off it

At home if she's getting upset then we come down to her level, tell her to breath, then ask her to tell us what's making her sad, this usually calms her enough for her to tell us then we can fix it, I don't like her just being placed on a chair then told to calm down an being left, we only discovered that because she got upset at home went on a chair an started angrily repeating "calm down"

has he got a new online friendship group? Are you able to check his online activity? I can sympathise as the partners friend was very close to us and my son loved him and vice versa however he will not come round anymore as he believes I am haram. I actually see him comment things on social media calling them haram too

Could you ask the place for CCTV? So you know exactly what happened/feel reassured. My Nan was the same before but turned out it was early dementia signs unfortunately. Your dad may well not have this but if you saw the footage it might explain what went on

This is annoying and stupid but does anyone know of a way to block someone on Facebook from seeing your posts but without unfriending them? I have one of MiL’s friends on my Facebook and I very rarely post but whenever I do, she immediately calls Mil and tells her what I’ve posted. Mil then calls my husband and wants to know why we didn’t tell her we did xyz. It’s really fucking annoying. If I unfriend the wretched woman, all hell will break loose so I just want her to stop seeing my posts. I’ve tried searching but can’t find any useful answer.

When you next click the button to post there should be some light blue buttons by your name, one of them will say either Public, Everyone, or Friends, click on that and you can change it to Friends Except, and then click the names of those you want to hide it from. This setting *should* stay in place for future posts too but best check before you click send just in case

Hi all,

Has anyone here experience of long hospital stays? It’s looking like I will soon be admitted for an estimated two month stay and want to be as prepared as possible going in. I’ll have a private room but shared toilet/ shower facilities.

I’ll have no control over food/diet so that’s at least one less consideration

any hints/tips/advice as to what might make the stay as comfortable as possible?

We’ve changed the bedding together today which is unusual as we normally do it solo whilst the other fights for their life with the toddler. It’s caused a bit of a tiff, so I’m putting it to the internet to decide who is right:

On your duvet there are usually seams running across the length to break it into quarters; should they be horizontal or vertical on the bed?

Uninsured driver hit my car yesterday and made off. It’s going to cost me more to claim on my insurance and put my price up next year, so I’m attempting to fix it myself.

Theres scuff marks on my bumper, can I use a magic sponge to buff it off or will it further ruin the paint? There’s a bit I need to touch in with a paint pen, is this hard to do?!

Any recommendations for products that help will be gratefully received! So angry every time I look at it!

Are you able to post a picture of what you are trying to fix? Is it paint of the other car that has been left behind? Your car manufacturer should do a touch up kit.

Today at work a woman (same level of seniority) of me sent a teams message meant for someone on her team, to a group wide teams chat I’m in, making derogatory comments about me. I’ve not worked with her for over 9 months and they were irrelevant to what I was doing at the time.

I have to keep working with her, any suggestions how I move forward?
