Are they New Look ones , I had those when I was pregnant. Sometimes rippred jeans don't have enough material to sew them up because the gaps are too big to meet.
They are the new look ones. Couldn’t see the rips in the photo. I may add some other material into them then.

I would patch them with something cute, personally. The New Look ones have quite a high elastane content and don’t mend well in my experience

Are they a stone wash or washed/distressed kind of look jean? The process can affect the softer cotton in the pockets making it bobble.
No, they’re not. They’re regular straight leg jeans.

I don’t know I usually buy similar jeans from other brands and I’ve never seen this. The picket usually start to bobble after a couple of washes.

It kind of gives me to ick. They were pretty expensive at that so they should have arrived in perfect condition.

Hi all,

Has anyone here experience of long hospital stays? It’s looking like I will soon be admitted for an estimated two month stay and want to be as prepared as possible going in. I’ll have a private room but shared toilet/ shower facilities.

I’ll have no control over food/diet so that’s at least one less consideration

any hints/tips/advice as to what might make the stay as comfortable as possible?
Noise cancelling ear buds or something to help you sleep through noise. Although you have a private room you’ll have nurses coming in numerous times to do your obs whether you’re napping or not.

Echo the point about the extra long charging cable - or get a good power bank.

Anyone know if a&e will remove a toenail? I’ve had a really bad ingrown nail for over three months now and all the docs keep doing is giving me antibiotics. The nail is past the point of me getting it out myself, else I would have done so already.

Struggling to even put on a pair of shoes now, and I keep getting a tingly feeling in my foot/leg.

I’m really worried about it turning septic as my cousin died of sepsis four months ago 😬 not sure if that’s making it worse subconsciously.

i don’t think so as I know two people who had to pay privately for it sorted. Sorry to hear about your cousin❤

Absolutely not an A&E job! Although I do think it's pretty unfair if the only option is to pay if the GP won't sort it.

Not for A&E but maybe for urgent care if you can't walk. They may only refer you though, unlikely you will get it done there and then. Perhaps call a local chiropodist for advice.

Didn’t think it would be an a&e job. Someone in work said it would be but I couldn’t find anything online indicating that it would be something they did.

Didn’t want to chance it and turn up just to find out it’s a waste of mine and their time. NHS is massively overstretched as it is so didn’t want to contribute to that if it was unnecessary.

Will try again with the GP and if no result by the end of the week I’ll have to look at going private.

Thank you all for your advice xxx

Have you tried your local pharmacy they can often deal with minor issues or advise on where’s best to go

Yeah, pharmacy said it’s too far gone for any over the counter treatment. Advised to try docs again, which I did and they have sent a referral off to podiatrist- but no appointment for 16wks minimum 😭

Just spoke to 111 who said to wait it out as well.
Not sure how I’m going to manage another 4 month’s minimum of this. I literally cannot walk properly!
Can’t afford to go private atm either 😭

You can self refer ❤ and if they take private patients it’s about £50 for an urgent appointment then they’ll bump you up the NHS list! It’s maybe not the most ethical, but it’s what I did when my SD’s toenails fell off and the GP couldn’t help 😂

How do you do this please? Everywhere I’ve looked is about £500🙈😭😂xx

This is annoying and stupid but does anyone know of a way to block someone on Facebook from seeing your posts but without unfriending them? I have one of MiL’s friends on my Facebook and I very rarely post but whenever I do, she immediately calls Mil and tells her what I’ve posted. Mil then calls my husband and wants to know why we didn’t tell her we did xyz. It’s really bleeping annoying. If I unfriend the wretched woman, all hell will break loose so I just want her to stop seeing my posts. I’ve tried searching but can’t find any useful answer.

Go to your posts and click hide from then type their name
---
It should then say post to friends except…. & you can do the same for stories too in settings

When you post a status, you will see the 'post to' option and you can post to friends except and then select their name. I think you have to do it each time though which is a faff.

When you next click the button to post there should be some light blue buttons by your name, one of them will say either Public, Everyone, or Friends, click on that and you can change it to Friends Except, and then click the names of those you want to hide it from. This setting *should* stay in place for future posts too but best check before you click send just in case

Anyone know a good toning cream? I've been doing a lot of toning exercises but I feel a cream might help just tighten the skin up a bit more
