Would you buy a house without a bath?

We have a small bathroom with a shower over the bath. We are a family that 99% of the time shower, my 7 year will occasionally have a big bubble bath, maybe 3 x a year.
We will be redoing it in the next year or so. I'm thinking of getting rid of the bath and making it into a wet room with big walk in shower. We do however have 2 ensuites that are showers. But we want to keep our ensuite kid free 😆 and the 2nd ensuite is in our 15 year olds room so he doesn't particularly want younger siblings coming in and out.
We have no plans to sell but would it affect resale value if we got rid of bath completely or should we just do what we want without thinking about possible selling points in the future.
The fact it used to have one is likely enough. I personally love a bath, but don’t have one that often.

We have a Sage touch machine and it produces an amazing cup but it’s really trial and error with grind time, milk heat etc, you can tweak so much to get it to your liking.
Regarding the beans, coffee shops usually sell their blends so you could just buy your fave or start asking what blend/origin their beans are and make a note, see if there’s a pattern.

Sainsburys do the Kenyan and Columbian beans the sell while in a pre ground form too so you could get some for a cafetière to try now.
Some bean companies do taster sets of their blends too so if you do get a machine that takes beans, they could be worth while to start off with too.

Eta: was typing as other comments came in so sorry if I’m repeating things.
Thank you this is all really good advicce. My concern was actually more the coffee blend than the machine itself 😆 And tbh I don't mind faffing about a bit if I can get it right. Honestly my coffee addiction is costing a bomb

I've got a Sage barista nespresso machine and I spend more time cleaning the bastard thing than I do drinking coffee. It's the milk frother that plays up... you have to keep taking the end of the frother wand out and unblocking the 4 tiny tiny holes with a paper clip. Drives me batshit. And then it likes to be descaled every few weeks - and won't work until you've done it. It warns you 2 or 3 times then goes on strike.

I love the coffee once I've made one, and the pod part is brilliant but I wish I'd researched it a bit better. £500 is a lot of money for a temperamental machine that operates on its own terms  😆
thanks for your input. I think this is the issue, there are so many machines each with their own pro's and con's

I imagine the picture will be enough 👍🏻 not sure what colour it is but surely you don’t need to say what it is as well as show them?
Maybe honey as a base colour? It’s kinda beach blonde hair lights too. To be fair, her hair is iconic, I’m sure the hairdresser will know exactly what you’re talking about.
Thank you both! You're right, I should be fine with just showing the photo ☺ I just want to be sure that I'll get what I want, as there have been times in the past where I feel the colour I got was nice but not really like the photo I showed or exactly what I had in mind.

i have been invited to a party in a few weeks on a Saturday lunch time. my son has a nap 12.30 for upto 2 hours which is when the party is. not sure quite what to do about making sure he gets his sleep (or he will be an arse for the rest of the day) but also don’t want to miss the party?
Can someone else watch him or is this something he's also invited too?

How old is he? Times like this we just let my neice miss her nap or put her down earlier, I know you say he can be an arse but it's really only one day, maybe a earlier bedtime if he's not going to get his nap that day

Does anyone support anyone via patreon? There’s a couple of podcasts I love and they do bonus episodes for their patreon subscribers but I’m wondering if I sign up now will I get their back catalogue of bonus episodes too?

For the last week or so, invisible ants have been hanging around my kitchen. One of the cupboards had a group of them hanging out in there and even penetrated a closed jar.

I’m pretty clean and all my cupboards were clean. I also clean the counters after each use.

I removed all foods from the cupboards, threw everything away and left them empty. I ditched everything on the counters too. All surfaces have been disinfected. However, I have noticed two or three of them hanging around some dead wood in my kitchen (see picture below for one area).

I’m renting and the kitchen is 20+ years old. The dead wood has been there since I moved in. It seems the kitchen was never refurbished. It’s in several areas of the kitchen. I’m suspecting it has something to do with it and needs to be removed.

Does anyone know if this could indeed be the issue?

Hi. On the contrary, the school have sorted out a prayer room and let him leave lesson a few minutes early as prayers are at a specific time. Although this is very accommodating of them, I had hoped they would have some words of advice for me but it seems not. I have been searching for maybe a support group who advise in this situation but I can't find anywhere. 😕

We’ve changed the bedding together today which is unusual as we normally do it solo whilst the other fights for their life with the toddler. It’s caused a bit of a tiff, so I’m putting it to the internet to decide who is right:

On your duvet there are usually seams running across the length to break it into quarters; should they be horizontal or vertical on the bed?
Where’s the opening?
having re-read this seeing other replies, I must have odd duvets as mine are small squares, king size

no if you block someone then your profile pic vanishes and turns to a grey silhouette
Thanks for this. Are you sure though? I’ve heard different things re the profile pic. I think I need a second phone/number so I can block myself and try all these methods out! 🤣 🕵️‍♀️

Tips for minimising dust in your home? I just moved into a new flat in the city (as opposed to the suburbs) and feel like I need to give up work to focus on dusting full time. I’ve never lived anywhere with so much dust! There’s no building work going on nearby and pollution isn’t a huge issue….I have no idea what’s causing the volume of dust.

Hi everyone

My child joined a new football team at the beginning of the season and I was immediately befriended by another parent. This was obviously nice being a newbie but my problem is they don't stop talking to me during the matches and has got to the point that it completely distracts me from watching. It's constant, about anything and everything. It's driving my other half mad to the point that he doesn't want to even go and watch anymore. I can't stand and watch somewhere else because they seek me out and I don't encourage conversation. I'm not rude enough to ignore them but I'm really struggling with the situation. Does anyone have any advice?!

I also could do with a magic wand if anyone has one going spare 😉
I was being deadly serious, unfortunately. At rock bottom in every area of my life and I can't hate myself more for it. Not having a go just wondered if your referencing me, I'm so paranoid, ignore me😂

Hi. Not sure if this is the right place to post but I am in need of advice. My 15 year old son has recently converted to islam. While I am trying to support his decision (my dad was muslim) the impact its having on his life is causing isolation from friends. They are at the dating stage which is not allowed for my son and the daily 5 prayers mean he is restricted from activities. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks
