I read this as ... she hadn't though of it before as something that might be a concern. Everyone assumes, unless they know something otherwise, that when the time comes they'll be fertile and able to have a baby no problem. On April 1st she told her followers she has never worried about her fertility. Lying then or lying now
Edited to add I know influencers lie all the time, but this is a crappy topic to lie about.
Yes I'd have read it like that too. But...agreeing to that campaign, saying what she said when actually pregnant, and her now commenting that she went through 100s of tests none of it adds up. Her extreme dishonesty along with the saintly act bother me.I personally think the clinic using an influencer at all is a bit strange.

but the thing is she specifically said (when announcing her BA) that โI have friends and family who have struggled with fertilityโ . I remember that really well because I was expecting her to say maybe she has had issues . So she clearly didnโt get treatment and or else is too proud to admit she did?Doesnโt make sense either wayI have to say I unfollowed and blocked Terrie when she announced. Itโs not because she is pregnant, which is lovely news no matter who you are, but It just doesn't sit right with me that she has been promoting a fertility clinic so close to becoming pregnant herself. If she did get treatment then more power to her but itโs the way the way whole thing has played out. It feels off to me.
Wow I never noticed the scan date... that really is awful esp considering she has worked with repromed after that dateHer scan date on pic is 16th April..so she prob knew she was pregnant when said that
I thought Terror couldnt stoop any lower..than that time she encouraged lots of Irish nurses to go to Oz..as being paid to do so obvs..then when they got there..no legitimate jobs/contracts etcNow its looking like she grabbed the role for the Fertility Clinic..knowing she was pregnant/had no fertility problems..how low can you stoop..such a money hungry grabber
Well said and fell your struggle xxxI posted earlier on this thread about my anger when Terrie was announced as BA for Repromed and I mailed Repromed my concerns (no response received of course).
I was absolutely disgusted to see her announcement yesterday evening. Jesus christ, almost every woman who is having fertility issues finds pregnancy announcements triggering; we don't want to but it's often a gut reaction and the minute I saw her post yesterday I had that immediate jolt of adrenaline that I feel whenever anyone announces a pregnancy. Like a sinking reminder that it still hasn't happened for you. It doesn't mean you're unhappy for people, it's just a constant reminder of your own inability.
How on earth can a so called BA for a fertility company NOT be aware of this?? Her post is pure indulgence and smugness with no comment about how difficult it can be for people TTC. And look that's fine if she's an ordinary Joe Soap and unaware of fertility issues but FFS she's a BA for Repromed!!! She is being paid to "open up the conversation" and she shits all over us women who are struggling to conceive.
Jesus christ lads, I'm absolutely fuming.
Well saidIf you are going to become a BA for a fertility clinic then the purpose of that is to raise awareness. To break the stigma, to create an environment where women feel comfortable opening up about their infertility. To also create a society were we are all a little more aware and in turn a little more empathetic and understanding to the struggle other families are going through.
The clinic made a huge mistake in choosing someone who either doesnt need fertility treatment or who isn't comfortable talking about their need for fertility treatment. It defeats the purpose of having a campaign.
If terrie got pregnant with no help then she is not a person who should be representing a fertility clinic. If terrie got pregnant with help but does not want to talk about it she is also not the person who should be representing the clinic.
This all falls to poor decision making on the behalf of the clinic.
If she took the job knowing damn well she was trying to get pregnant or was already pregnant then she is a bottom of the barrel human being to exploit other women and families to line her own pockets.
Oh it's like a punch in the gut when they happens xx it will happen to us baby dust to youIโm so grateful that so many feel what I feel and for the outpouring of sympathy and support for those of us with fertility issues. Tattle gets a bad rep but honestly there are some wonderful, kind and honest women on here.
I found out yesterday that my sister in law is expecting her second baby, absolutely thrilled for them, of course but itโs always so tough when announcements close to me are made. (This is their 2nd baby in the entire time weโve been trying) so I was particularly sensitive yesterday. I know the subject is divisive so was worried when I posted and called terrie out. Iโm so glad Iโm not the only one who feels this way.
She openly said she wasnโt struggling with fertility issues when she became brand ambassador that some of her friends were so she confirmed that. Also sheโs only married 2 years and is about 31 so prob just started trying after Xmas and prob got pregnant after a month or two letโs be honest.... I will take it back if Iโm wrong but Iโm just quoting Terri herself who said she has no issues so sheโs simply a money hungry witchMaybe she has got pregnant through ivf??... Maybe she wanted to wait until she was pregnant to start the collab with them... She coukd be after having more than one round. Who knows people circumstances
Terrie will sell her soul for the right price. She will backtrack now and try reclaim the title of St. TerrieI thinks sheโs a bare faced liar....now sheโs trying to back track
Repromed are amazing, I wouldnโt have my babaโs without them. They treated us amazingly, we had been with another clinic that just seen money when you walked in. Iโm sure they need to advertise like all businesses, times are hard. Iโve heard ads for all the clinics. Either way, Iโll be forever grateful to them.If I was experiencing fertility issues, I certainly wouldnโt be going to repromed. Something strange about them having to advertise their services so much. As much as I love the good glow podcast, the good glow health podcast is now sponsored by them too. Why if youโre a good fertility clinic, would you need to advertise so much? It would really put me off.
Just wanted to say thanks on behalf of all of us ladies that struggle not being able to have our own babies.... thanks for being so considerate I wish everyone was as considerate as youI feel so so sorry for the couples who are going through fertility treatment, having difficulty conceiving. The timing of Terri becoming BA for this fertility clinic and announcing her pregnancy so soon afterwards is a harsh kick to those couples. Im happy for Terri and her pregnancy but my god this is very inconsiderate. I am pregnant myself , I didnt announce my pregnancy to social media etc, we told our family and left it at that, I am very aware of friends who have difficulty conceiving and it would be like rubbing salt into their wounds. This is my own opinion. Social media can be very cruel.
A complete kick in the teeth to
Completely agree with everything you have said.I think people are angry because she agreed to do the paid promotion of fertility talk without talking about fertility. She generalised, barely spoke about her own, and spouted facts that she claimed she didn't know but defo shouldve known as a nurse! Yes she is entitled to privacy but do not accept a paid role in opening up a conversation about fertility if you want to keep private. She constantly shut down the idea of her having children, until she got paid to talk about it. She would've known she was pregnant when those fertility talks came out, she was at the very least 6 weeks pregnant when it was announced she would be collabing with them. it would've been a good chance for her to say "we are trying for a baby" and open up the convo that way. And it would actually have got people off her back for a while about it too. She failed miserably in her campaign and this announcement has made it fail even more. I understand the anger, and it is possible to be happy they are happy and healthy, but when it comes to her yet again exploiting and using her followers for her own personal gain without an ounce of shame! And to the people who are saying give her a chance to talk about it... This is terrie McEvoy we are talking about. The woman has been caught out being dishonest and cheating the social media system more times!!! She lost her right to a chance a long time ago!
You are not alone gals who have experience of infertility. Fertility problems runs in my family, and have watched family members go through those exact emotions you are describing during their years of TTC! Poor poor taste from Terrie!
I just watched the first two episodes of that programme last night my mother watched it and recommended it , itโs very sad to see what couples go through , Iโve two children before I was widower remarried and have secondary infertility now we suffered a miscarriage early last year , seeing all the #lockdown babies ana announcements has been hard Altho every new life is a blessing Iโm happy for them and sad for us which is allowedCompletely agree with everything you have said.
I keep changing my mind on this. Full disclosure from me, I did ivf with repromed (tbh I chose them as vhi gave you a 1k discount so for me all in all my cycle was a little over 4k). One of the lucky ones, successful first time, after nearly ten years of no contraception . So I really do understand the journey albeit, my actual IVF journey was very straightforward.
In one way, I think of it as her having a paying job and she got pregnant. Fantastic for her (I really mean that). In most roles you should not have to disclose a pregnancy at all. She could have been trying for years for all we know or she could have just started trying and was very lucky (someone posted earlier saying maybe it was the plan all along with repromed that she got pregnant naturally as part of the collab.... If only it works that way )
I get why they chose her as ambassador, big following, target market and she is a nurse making it seem more credible. At the end of the day, these companies don't have big marketing teams if imagine.
I do get why people are pissed esp having gone through infertility (albeit I'm in the other side now).
Also for those who have no struggles but are interested to learn more, I'd suggest watching The Baby Makers, a documentary TV3 did a few years ago. Denise from pelo is on it. Its very emotive and informative. But I realise at the time it's only of interest if you are interested in the subject
Completely allowed. I just found out I was pregnant with our ivf baby when we watched it. I found it difficult to watch bit it was fantastic for my husband who could see other men like him. He wasnt the only one watching asian porn in the clinicI just watched the first two episodes of that programme last night my mother watched it and recommended it , itโs very sad to see what couples go through , Iโve two children before I was widower remarried and have secondary infertility now we suffered a miscarriage early last year , seeing all the #lockdown babies ana announcements has been hard Altho every new life is a blessing Iโm happy for them and sad for us which is allowed
