Gutted to have missed that match, have been asleep for I think every Sinner match but have been able to watch about 4 Zverev matches in a row😒😒

Sinners been looking unplayable recently, can see him being world number 1 at some point this year
Alcaraz has always said that he sees Jannik as his strongest opponent in his age group, he knew all along! 😁👍🏽

But seriously, what a run during this AO for him, losing just one set, and it took the world number 1 to do that.

I love Daniil too and I’m happy he’s got to another grand slam final after being traumatized at the AO last year. I would have been happy for Carlos too obviously, but I’ve got a soft spot for Daniil. Let’s hope he can keep it together in the final. The audience won’t be on his side I think, which sometimes motivates him and sometimes agitates him to the point of a meltdown.
I really like Medvedev, but I feel like Alcaraz would have had a better chance of beating Djokovic, and that’s what I’m ultimately looking for in every single tournament. I really don’t want him to get a 24th slam. ☹
The Djokovic/Medvedev head-to-head is 9:5, but Med has beaten him in a US Open final in recent years, so 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Can he be entered for the doubles even if he has no ranking for doubles? There's only 1 Spanish double player in the top 100 for doubles.

Presuming two entries for the doubles means 2 teams of 2 for each drawn?

Rafa's set to play doubles with Alcaraz who will get direct entry into the doubles as a Top 10 player. Alcaraz can then team up with any player inside the top 300. Don't quote me on this, but I think that's how it works.

For singles, Rafa can use his protected ranking/exemptions. I'm pretty sure nobody will stop him playing if he wants to!

Murray Berrettini is such an annoying first round draw, I want Andy to win just obviously but want Matteo to get the boost he needs after his injury problems.
I laughed at Andy writing ‘life in the old dog yet’ on the camera screen!

I remember when Andy and Kim had their first child and they’re so private they didn’t even announce her name but of course Andrew had to announce it in his commentary and tell everyone 🙄

I remember reading Judy saying she has to watch with the sound off as she can’t stand listening to what the commentators say! I think she was talking about Andrew!

Resurfacing is absolutely great, there are also some excellent tennis documentaries on Netflix.

Poor Andy - he's my absolute favourite. My daughter took a great photo of him at Wimbledon some years ago (and it's in my favourites).

if i was putting my money on only one, i would say rune too. but it is crazy to think of how big the quality gap is right now.

i used to be a big taylor fritz believer but i think he just hasn’t got the right mindset at all, he’s likely going to be another bernard tomic and just never truly live up to his potential. also i intensely intensely dislike him but i think kyrigos is going to go down as a complete wasted talent.
Yep the gap is huge at the moment, but others could have the rapid rise that Alcaraz has. He could of easily been knocked out of queens at the first match and not progresses much in Wimbledon and he'd be in a totally different position right now.

I think kyrigos is scared himself of ever really fully committing and coming up short. So he'd rather go along with a half assed I try sometimes attitude.

Agree with Fritz, he's not that interesting to me and seems like he's peaked. Maybe I'm being hash but his influencer girlfriend puts me off supporting him. Nike had those ugly outfits that all the young guys were repping, it really didn't suit Fritz

Medvedev is by far the most entertaining on the tour, I could literally watch hours of his meme moments. The guy is a goldmine.

Yay for Jannik, what an amazing fight to come back after those first two sets! Hopefully only the first of many more slam wins to come.
I don’t know how Meddy is even still standing after these two weeks haha this could have gone either way, let’s face it. The man is a machine.

Yeah, they’re talking about Djokovic now on Eurosport during the Sinner match - who has just become the new world number 1.

Andrew Castle is the worst. I'm baffled how he keeps his job with his awful Alan Partridge like commentary. Absolutely dreadful.

I don't mind John Lloyd, although he does often come across as out of touch with new players and the modern game.

I think the only former player I enjoy listening to is Annabel Croft. At least she has been active in following the tour around the world in recent years and been courtside to analyse and interview players as part of the Amazon Prime team and for BBC radio.

Love how they had 15 days for this tournament, and then the men decided to tie with the record for most five set matches played during a tournament hahaha

Awww, look:
