I understand that she loves the kids and can obviously afford them but this is all so strange to me lol. Everyone all over the place with different dads, lots of little personalities atdifferent stages of development requiring different levels of attention. Just seems mental

The thing is just because she’s got an order of protection doesn’t mean much in the US as we’ve seen with Kail who used to take these orders out on all of her ex partners (even if she was in the wrong) and they would get granted. She did it three times whilst on the show! I think there is more to it. Jeremy was always painted the bad guy and enemy even when they split, turned out Leah was not only a drug addict, had their house in an absolute state but she was also cheating too. He wanted to divorce her and he was made to be a bad guy. I just don’t think Leah is purely innocent. Be interesting to see how the show spins this.

I’ve not watched this in ages but just watching the latest two series. Does Brianna’s mum ever stop crying?

Her mum has always done way too much and been so overly emotional. I read something recently where someone pointed out that her mum makes everything about her and I do see where they’re coming from. Someone pointed out when Briana was pregnant with Stella and told her mum that Lewis had been cheating that instead of hugging her and letting her be upset her mum starting crying and shouting and made it all about her! I still find it weird how Briana bought that family home but has now moved back into a rented apartment and left her mum in the big house. Like why? If she wanted to house her family then get them the apartment and let your daughters live in the house. Always been such a weird dynamic and her mum has seemed to sabotage every relationship bri has been in.

Na to me Leah is way more likeable knowing what she's been through and how much of a glow up she's had. To have addiction in your family and an absent dad can make it hard to not take that path at times. She made shitty decisions but she's owned them and worked hard at getting better and turning her life around. Having twins, one with a serious illness as such a young mum would have been terrifying. There's no way she could have admitted an abortion on TV, it's America FFS, she would probably get hunted down. How she went about it wasn't great but I wouldn't say how Corey behaved half the time was great either and Jeremy my God, their marriage was just like a joke to him and as soon as it got hard he ran.

See I have to disagree I don’t think her behaviour can be blamed on any of that. There are many people who have bad circumstances thrown at them and don’t behave or do the things she’s done. She cheated on Corey multiple times and cheated on Jeremy multiple times too! I don’t feel like she’s owned them when you rewatch the seasons she seems to blame everyone around her for things. The only place she’s ever admitted any truth was in her book but she still makes herself a victim somehow. It’s not the fact she had an abortion, it’s the fact she tried for a baby on purpose to then abort it and then to make lies up about this awful miscarriage she had to everyone including her fiancé. I don’t think Corey ever did anything bad to Leah, the worst thing he ever did was sleep with her behind other people’s backs but apart from that I can’t find fault with him. I also wouldn’t say Jeremy ‘ran’. Leah was spending all their money on shit and drugs faster than he could make it on top of any MTV money whilst he worked his ass off and she cheated on him with multiple people was he meant to stay with her? I just think she’s a selfish and irresponsible person and that’s just how some people are.

MTV should be ashamed - the are enabling her putting her back on the show sending her out on dates for drama when really that women needs some damn therapy and to sort out her family situation

Mental to me. She’s unhinged I still can’t get over the amount of times MTV let her drive when she was clearly so high!!

It’s so concerning that MTV showed no duty of care to the children involved in the show, between Leah, Amber, Jenelle and Ryan it’s shocking to look back and realise 1. It was aired and 2. No one stepped in.

She already said on her podcast previously that the twins would be born before Rio turned 1 so she would have 3 under 1. I don’t know why she’s carrying this on it’s fucking weird. That's what I thought and even took him back after calling 911 on him. I was thinking she could be saying it to try and get custody then manipulate Jace into changing his story so the charges are dropped, not sure how far fetched that would be or if it would work but like you say it's weird she would suddenly kick him out now

urgh, I got about half way through ep1 of the reunion. I switched off when Cory stood up to give his first speech to the group about how wonderful they all are and what a good time they are all having etc (Change the record Cory, that trick is getting so old). I actually think the speeches are a tactic he uses to make sure he gets plenty of airtime…because mtv can’t edit him mid-flow.

These reunion shows imo are spoiling the franchise. The cast are now acting like tv stars, the whole point of the original show was to follow people living their ordinary lives. It’s now just a bunch of overconfident people thinking they are gods gift and at every opportunity self promoting the show itself. It’s turning into something like Geordie Shore or Love Island in its setup. The original premise was more documentary that reality tv.

The only couple who I think are naturally there for reasons other than thinking they are something special are Maci and Taylor. I think they are playing along, knowing they are getting paid very well for doing so and promoting their t-shirt brand as a bonus. I think they are the only couple who are in it for the money alone (which is the only reason anyone normal would want to be involved), the rest are seriously fame hungry as well….and would probably do the show for free for the exposure.

Tyler is the one I can’t stand the most, I think he’s worse than Cory. At least with Cory it’s clear that he’s a pro reality tv star and it’s basically his trade, he started with the Challenge of his own accord. Tyler likes to think he is a pro, but he’s just a drop-out whose never achieved anything and would have done absolutely nothing with his life if his wife hadn’t been picked for the show, he had to stay with Cate, she was his meal ticket, there would have been no point in following their story after adoption if they had been separate.

Remember I think it was the first reunion series…I think it was supposed to be a girls only trip…then Cate conveniently had a panic attack and so Tyler dropped all his dad duties to rush to her side, which she recovered from the moment he arrived…and get his face onto tv…which is his main priority of course.

Leah and Amber must be fuming, not invited because they don’t have a man…and with Leah’s tax debt that must sting to not be getting paid.

I always used to laugh because no matter what terms Leah and Corey were on they would always start convos like ‘hey what you doing’ ‘nothing what u doing’ then they would get into a serious convo or argument

what makes me laugh the most is when Cory goes off to the challenge and they act like he's drafted into Afghanistan, all crying and big emotional goodbyes like hello??? its some shitty game show? he's not off to fight for his country or do any kind of proper job

I think Kail’s decision to have such a large brood is related to her lack of family. In earlier series she was worried that Isaac would have prefer his time with Jo because he came with a surrounding family and she was on her own. In custody discussions she mentioned that Isaac was her ‘only family’ which is why he means everything to her and why she fought not to lose time with him. I think she’s wanting a big family on the basis that she wants them to be there once she is elderly and wants lots of grandchildren etc…she is building her own family around her because she didn’t automatically have one like most people do. She is basically a slut and makes her living by running her mouth and in many ways I find her vulgar…but in terms of her children she does focus on their education and sports, plus she genuinely cares about their welfare, you can see how stressed she gets if something is going wrong with one of her kids…so her skills as a mother I don’t have much to criticise.

I find it so interesting comparing Cate and Tyler now to how they were back in around season 3. At that point them seemed very ambitious and not seeming to realise that reality tv was going to be their meal ticket. They had big ambitions, Tyler wanted to get a college degree to be a paramedic and then work on a second degree in social work in order to have a second career as a probation officer/drugs counsellor. Cate wanted to do a teaching degree to teach at middle school and then do a second degree in social work to also work as an adoption counsellor. At age 18/19 they had excessive ambitions (it was never explained why they both felt the need to train to degree level for 2 different careers, like they actually wanted to get a degree and work in the first job, then do another degree and work in the second job…why not just go straight to the second job if that was the eventual aim?). It’s interesting to see that they went from that attitude of thinking that their decision to adopt meant it was especially important for them to achieve…to an attitude that neither of them needed to ever have any paid employment outside of having their lives filmed for a tv show. Compare them to Maci and Taylor…they run a t-shirt company and Maci also has a part time job designing/managing for social media the full details of which she keeps private…plus they find time to arrange a pretty full schedule of sports for their kids…and still manage to find time to film for mtv. It just shows that filming doesn’t actually take up much time, and can be around work and all the things that go with being part of a busy family. Cate and Tyler made a massive fuss last season of taking one child to gymnastics and her feelings over what she was wearing…completely over the top and non-storyline…of course it sent Tyler off to therapy to relate it all to his ‘trauma’. When you look at Cate and Tyler and how lazy they…they look pathetic.
