Well you are very much in a minority thinking you “should” go private because you have disposable income.
Even on her salary it would take months of saving for a private birth.
Thankfully most people in the uk don’t want an nhs system like that.
Should I not be able to see my GP for an infection since technically I could shell out the £250 for a private appointment?
Should I not be able to use the nhs for the pill since technically I could pay the £20 a month for it but I just don’t want to?

It’s not just for celebrities it’s for people with money which includes Syd. She’s gone private for treatments in the past, I know plenty of people who have as I’m sure you all do too?!

I could be the wealthiest person in England and I would still use the NHS for labour and delivery rather than private - all they are is convenience and comfort i’d rather prioritise the health and well-being of myself and my child since I’d only end up in the same emergency room if something went wrong.

Both Syd and Ell admitted in an honest q&a that they had earnt 6 figures from their jobs and this was like 2 years in I’m sure. I remember this as it’s an insane amount to me for what their job is and how quick they managed it. And it is yeah but to be approved for TWO mortgages alone you have to have money come on

This would’ve been before they’d paid 2 hefty deposits each as well as stamp duty, solicitors fees etc which would’ve been a huge chunk of what was in their bank accounts. I’m sure they both still earn well above the average person but they can’t be compared to the likes of Molly Mae

Nah we’ll have to agree to disagree cos I can’t convince you that Syd is VERY well-off (born into it as well as from her job) and can definitely afford to spare a few grand for her birth which she can easily earn in a month to remove some strain off the NHS. She paid privately for the treatment to get pregnant in the first place ffs so I personally don’t see the issue. I didn’t say she isn’t well off, obviously she has money but it’s a madness you think she should’ve gone private cause she has a few spare grand lying around and that her one pregnancy is contributing to the strain on the NHS If something had gone wrong privately she would’ve ended up in an NHS hospital anyway

Let’s not make it to political but I’ll keep it pretty simple - As already said, if something goes wrong when you are in a private hospital you are BLUE LIGHTED to an NHS emergency room and maternity unit and end up using the facilities and staff. With the state of the NHS with strikes, overworked staff and staff shortages, no amount of money/private facilities could put me somewhere further away from the difference between potentially saving mine or my babies life when I’m bleeding out and on the cusp of death.

She may have gone private for fertility treatment, she acknowledged this in her vlogs and frankly I’d do the same if I could afford it. I don’t think she deserves to be critiqued for this when so many other influencers and celebrities have given birth in NHS hospitals.

I watched her new q&a video she touches on how her and Lucy reconnected after seeing each other in at an event and admitted that their previous falling out was over nothing and when talking about her tattoos (I think she has matching ones with Syd) she said how she doesn't regret any of her tattoos because they mean something to her and remind her of good memories.
