Thank you so much, That1lady for such kind words ! I dreamt of being a cosmetologist when I was little, so I studied a ton of beauty books and watched a lot of videos about makeup, fashion and color theory- I love everything that is beauty, fashion and hair. I ultimately decided to go to art school years ago to study fine art/design instead and my art goal this year is to publish my graphic novel and hopefully have a gallery showing of my paintings.

I find it hilarious that she never mentions anything that she finds physically attractive about him, and their fans get defensive when people ask (happened to me ). It's like they are subconsciously uncomfortable with her finding him sexually attractive but let their virtue signalling override that.

There are plenty of men who are caring/thoughtful/funny/hardworking/successful/blah blah blah (same list Shane always rattles off about HIMSELF - see screenshot). What ties it all together for romantic chemistry is physical attraction. Hannah clearly has none for him.

I looked for his blog where he lists all the supposed reasons why Hannah would be into him, using the qualities he listed as search words. A disturbing post of his came up, entitled "Short Fiction - Day One". AGAIN, this sadistic sociopath decribed the torture of a baby girl (screenshots attached). If you're wondering why I say "again", go to his blog and search "Oracle", the name of his imaginary child who he abuses with his assistive devices, as he describes how he'd care for her. Why would he ever think of this tit? I'm sure he still does as he hasn't matured at all. He is deranged. I don't get the vibe that Hannah loves kids either. I don't think she has demented fantasies about abusing them, but she's lazy and coddled, and kids are alot of work.

Does anyone else find it odd they're apparently sitting by the pool in L.A. or wherever they're staying in CA, and Hannah's wearing her ubiquitous too-small bikini, and Shane, who in a rare shot isn't wearing his stained harness, is shirtless, wearing shorts, and those black clodhoppers (that also, in a rarely seen shot, actually have shoelaces AND are tied)? I mean... whut? Apparently they've ditched his AFOs for good.

This is truly awful. Shane is, no doubt, getting sunburned and dehydrated. And the too-big shoes not only look like they're on the wrong feet but are disgustingly inappropriate to wear as a so-called disability advocate sitting by a pool. How many children with SMA has he emotionally harmed with his "hide your floppy feet" message. (HIS exact words in his book describing other children at the camp he went to). How many parents of children with SMA has he traumatized by making his channel nothing but a fetish porn and false values (ie porn star looking wife and pointless mansion) site? If any parents are reading here please know that your child is capable of much more. So much more. And, my God, does he look emaciated. While Hannah lies there with her crocodile smile. He must also be sweating buckets sitting in the sun surrounded by black. Who will wash and clean him up, make sure his skin stays clean and dry and then thoroughly clean his sweat soaked wheelchair? Who?

I think their channel should be shut down. I know it won't be but this is nothing more than an internet version of the old circus shows. Only now you don't need to buy tickets; you just turn on your computer. My heart breaks for Shane's mom.

And I love how he describes himself, he's so full of himself, probably from years of everyone saying how wonderful he is and not actually being critical because of his disability. He also says he's clean...uh, how Shane? You can't clean yourself and we know Hannah doesn't clean you ..so maybe when your parents were caregivers you were clean, but certainly not now.
I didn't watch the short, but from the pic it looks like the same boring message.

I’m all for being confident, but it’s so weird and braggy when someone describes themselves as “hilarious” as Shane does. Hannah has said it about him numerous times too as one of the big things she’s attracted to. Their fans always default to how “funny” Shane is. I’m sorry but WHERE is this electric sense of humor of his? He definitely tries to be funny, but it comes across more as over compensating and trying too hard, like he’s funny as a defense mechanism (which he has essentially said). I’m sure his brand of humor works for some people, if you’re into immature sarcasm. I just can’t help but think if Shane were “able bodied” the same people wouldn’t be going on about how utterly hilarious he is.

Yeah, Shane isn't funny or witty at all for a 30 year old man. Like, at all. People only compliment him for being funny because there's nothing else they can compliment and they feel bad for him. He seems way beyond the age where he should understand this, but obviously he's in denial. His "sarcasm" isn't even successfully funny in an immature way. It's like he tries to copy the way he hears others tell jokes and misses the mark completely. I don't know any men his age who crack "jokes" like him non-stop and the ones that do probably are known as the corny, annoying, obnoxious people that everyone avoids. Shane really thinks he's some highbrow writer and "witty" comedian and it's sad to see the delusion.

What do you paint? That sounds amazing! Acrylics?

Thank you and I'm sure your dreads are fabulous too ! I paint in oil, acrylics and watercolor. Watercolor is my favorite medium because it pisses me off and excites me- moving water and pigment along a page to create a beautiful image can be so frustrating and rewarding. I love the challenge of it all.

What the duck? This is seriously disgusting, they are both unwell mentally! As a mother this really upsets me!
As for his physical appearance, I’m just going to be brutally honest, his body repulses me physically. Maaayyybe if he had a genuinely kind warm humble personality could I imagine possibly falling for his personality, but I really don’t see how any woman could physically look at those legs and think “attractive”..that’s my honest opinion.

I am just wondering how he is still alive. His legs in the last photo are literally skin and bones, if an anorectic girl starves herself to that point she just stays in hospital, being absolutely lifeless. What about nourishing his brain, how is his state humanly possible? I know they had a video on Shane's weight, but I just can't stand watching them, so if you know how they deal with it, please let me know.

I immediately thought of Eugenia Cooney too. Every two months or so I go to her Youtube channel to see if she's alive- I wish so much that she could get better, and I guess I watch her videos once in a while as a form of prayer to subliminally send my thoughts her way wishing her strength and recovery. What's deeply troubling is that some of Eugenia's young and impressionable fans idolize and try to emulate her weight and body and as a result create eating disorders within themselves. Such a great point- pride is what's going to take him out, and his self-righteous caretaker Hannah won't even take accountability for assisting in his decline and eventual demise.

I honestly think Shane considers himself an everyday superhero in the sense like 'Daredevil' was blinded, but gained increased hearing/agility/strength etc, only Shane thinks that what he lost in physical ability he makes up for in humour and intelligence. Only the world forgot to teach Shane that these personality traits only become enhanced if you actually work on yourself! Self improvement Shane, it's a thing.

I often wonder about his complete lack of humility. I mean it's not uncommon for people in his situation to actively address this and say 'I want recognised for my abilities, not given a free ride because of my disability'. However I've never heard anything approaching self reflection from him, nor him ever consider the potential that those around him lower their expectation of him because he is disabled. If he was genuine about wanting to be judged on his merits he would have voiced something approaching this, but he only cares about the adolation. I guess its a symptom of how fragile his self worth is that he can't even consider this as a possibility.

Sorry Shane, but the only heightened ability you have is a hugely inflated ego!

There was something that bothered me in one of his early videos, where he was doing his usual self congratulatory speech where he stops and says.... 'uh, that probably sounds sooooo ...umm...self loving'.
And I thought to myself, this is the intellectual English scholar and esteemed writer and he struggled to come up with a more eloquent description than 'self uhhhh loving'. Not 'self congratulary', or 'narcissistic' to use two examples from top of my head. That was the extent of his linguistic talents...

It doesn’t seem possible to warm to them as they swing between complaining and showing off with no in-between. I genuinely don't understand why he isn't being peg fed. His current state of malnutrition is avoidable. He needs to accept he can't swallow and involve a speech and language team. Honestly of I visited a patient who was being cared for in Shane's condition I would raise a safeguarding report based on neglect

Shane has said that he hated having a feeding tube and stopped using it altogether when on a road trip w Hannah a few years ago. I guess he's just too stubborn to go back to it. He has a huge ego and it seems he's in denial... or feels that life with extra interventions for his breathing and nutrition is not worth living since they're so uncomfortable. I think that Shane's avoidant attitude is also compounded by Hannah's "I refuse to hire a paid-caregiver; I can do it all myself and don't experience burnout" attitude. If Hannah and Hannah's mom are doing all his care he may feel like he doesn't want to give them extra tasks to do. This is a huge reason why the disability community frowns on significant others doing all the caregiving. It's all so enmeshed and toxic.

In the latest IG post he says that him and Hannah are writing a TV pilot, apparently they just finished it, so that's why they are in LA, to be TV writers. I understand why he wouldn't want to do that every night, but as others have said, surely they could find a place on his abdomen to place a PEG port so that all that would need to be done is for someone to connect it at night and disconnect it the next morning. The thought of having an NG tube quite literally shoved down one's throat every day, especially when you can barely swallow in the first place (the patient being able to actively swallow facilitates its placement), couldn't be pleasant, but I doubt it's his only option.

Apparently Shane was told that the surgery for a PEG tube would be too risky. Also I think maybe his abdomen is too misshapen or something? I think he mentioned it in a video once
