There’s absolutely no way Michael is abusing Luisana. I’ve met Michael a few times as he’s a friend of a friend, and Lu (and the children) twice. Lu herself is saying it’s rubbish. She’s really not the type to take any shit.

He’s the softest and gentlest man I think I’ve met. He was a lot different when I first met him but marriage, fatherhood and Noah’s illness have really softened him. He truly is a sweetheart who respects women,

I really like the pair of them together.
That’s exactly how it works tho

I’m sure the code of flowers is used somewhere, but definitely not for riders, because a) usually the staff member or team sorting out rider requests is pretty low down the totem pole and b) most famous people, bands etc have specific people to sort their drugs for them, to the point they don’t even have to ask - it’s just there for them when they need it.

I know a couple of people who have had to source many a famous artist’s rider requests as part of their job, and never once have they had to provide anything illegal. The illegal stuff always comes from people closer to the artist (their assistants or record label employees or even their friends and hangers on), not people who work for the venue or tour/events management team.
Way back, my sister worked in a snooker hall. Alex Higgins asked her to get him some coke and then swore at her when she came back with a glass of the brown, fizzy stuff 🤣🤣🤣

But if she's in with the whole "Dubai Porta-Potty" crowd then I actually feel very sorry for her. That whole situation is grim.

I'd rather live on a giro. I'm serious. My self-respect and my mental well-being are worth more than that.
Wow just found myself down a very dark rabbit hole on this topic - you learning something new every day 😳

Did someone ask about Lee Evans or did I imagine that? Can’t seem to see it now... Anyway, tenuous link klaxon, back in my yoof I once spent a night/morning after (not like that, there was a group of us) with his cousin who was just like him and said what what you saw on stage was very close to his real personality. He (his cousin) was also very funny and kept us entertained for hours. We did however consume quite a large amount of class As during this encounter so with the benefit of hindsight I may have a slightly skewed recollection of just how hysterical he was. Regardless, it was a good night.

my husband refers to Dubai as a sprinkling of glitter on the turd of the middle east !
its never appealed to me...on one hand you have a muslim country and the strict laws they enforce , then the other side its drinking , ostentatious wealth, partying. to me they dont fit together and they like to turn a blind eye to western values one minute , next theyre arresting people for being in a taxi with the opposite sex.
as for the porta potty stuff 🤢 dont these girls have any self worth/ morals its just vile ...they're lucky they manage to get out of there alive
If you go to Dubai mall you see women walking around who are obvious pay for play and you also have cards everywhere which will have numbers for sex workers. Yet if you’re there on holiday with your other half and just kiss you can be arrested. Hypocritical at its finest. I went in 2015 but my friend just came back and she said there were still cards everywhere. I still don’t get how it’s become a ‘party’ place when it’s a Muslim country.

As for the girls who willingly agree to go, some agree to extreme beatings. They’re left so bruised they will stay longer to make it not to obvious when they travel. Like I said on my previous post some women end up dead and buried in the desert. It also wouldn’t suprise me if rich men can actually pay to murder someone brought into the country. It really is sad and disgusting and these z-listers that go there willingly just so they can afford designer bags etc are pathetic. I guarantee the women from third world country’s don’t have a choice and are force to go.

Like the rumours about Gordon and Ross Kemp for example?
Don’t want to get sued but there was a thread on Mumsnet years ago about GR. Lots of stories that he liked trans women and it was well known he had had various affairs with them over the years. It’s one of the reasons he’s not on UK TV screens cooking anymore and concentrated on the US instead. The press were told to back off this story and he instead gave them access to the court info about his father in law defrauding him to keep them sweet at Tana was suffering enough

A bit long, sorry.

I became sort of friends with Feeder before they got big, met them initially through my friend who was in a band and friends with them, then crossed paths again through my media work and as I'd coincidentally become friends with their press officer. They were so down to earth and funny. Their late drummer Jon was hilarious,

We went to Leeds to see them play, bumped into my press officer pal, he invited us back to the hotel bar for drinks (all above board!), so we went backstage after the show to wait to head back. When we eventually exited the stage door, there were fans waiting patiently for the band, my mate said for us to wait in the warm on the tour bus, while the band met every fan that waited for them.

Back at the hotel, the staff opened up a bar overlooking an indoor pool, the bar also randomly had a kids soft play / fun factory thing attached to it, which was locked.

Anyway, me, my friends, the band's staff and some journalists all sat up drinking and eating chips all night (paid for by record company). At one point, I offered to pick the lock of the soft play with my tweezers, it was just a cylindrical keyhole with grooves down the barrel and easy to pick.

All of us piled into the ball pits etc, highly hilarious especially as we were all drunk. When all of a sudden a woman shouted at us to get out. It was a hotel night manager. 😆 We sheepishly left and went back to our seats.

Anyway, dawn was almost breaking and Jon from the band decided he wanted to go swimming in the pool we were overlooking, but he didn't have any trunks.

So, with alcohol egging us all on, when the gym / pool opened at 6am, we went to its reception and asked a load of questions to distract the lady, while Jon crawled past the reception desk on his hands and knees.

Jon then ran for the stairs down to the pool, furiously tearing his clothes off as he ran! He got to the pool, was down to his pants and socks and was just about to take them off when a security guard appears from nowhere, grabbed his arm and led him away as Jon shouted, "Does my nakedness offend you?"

One of the funniest nights ever, I had a two day hangover afterwards, totally worth it.

I cried when I heard Jon had taken his own life. He was such a fun bloke.

Give us some more!
Mostly musicians stories, anyone in particular? I can't guarantee I've met them though.

Some more, I was out in Camden with my best mate who lived in Kentish Town. We were in a pub called the Good Mixer, when Amy Winehouse walked in. First of all I was shocked by how thin she was, pics I'd seen of her previously were from when she was curvy and didn't have many tattoos.

Anyway, I remarked to my friend about how thin she was, he said he was on nodding and hello terms with her as they frequented the same pubs and he whispered that she'd split with a guy who was a chef and apparently a decent guy and was now dating a drug addict (which later turned out to be Blake). Anyway, she was actually really smiley and friendly and said hello to my mate as she walked over to the bar, where she took off her boots, put them on the bar and like at a bowling alley, the barman took them and handed her back a pair of ballet pumps, which she put on. It was bizarre, she then went and played pool.

I see Pip Schofield has moved out of his family home, during global pandemic. Must have assumed that the press wouldn’t report on it. I bet he’s gone to his Southwark shag pad with a barely legal young man.

I used to clean motel units on the weekends in my youth (whilst still at secondary school). It was a common thing to find people had pulled out every single plate, pot, pan and cup out of the cupboard and poured tomato sauce (or similar) over everything just out of spite, or defecated in the shower to make some sort of point (or rubbed it in the carpet). Most rooms would need to be cleaned within 20 minutes max, but when we had those sorts of situations they'd take just about all morning to put right, and with a couple of cleaners assigned to it. People are just vile. Of course, you'd also get the people who left things immaculate but they were, sadly, a minority.

This is not my gossip, but I've just read this in the comments of this DM story - Paul McCartney's handwritten lyrics for Hey Jude sell for £730,000 as collectors get caught up in bidding war

MrsSHCZ, Virginia Water, United Kingdom, 7 hours ago
Years ago I went to a auction of Beatles memorabilia at Southebys. One of the items sold was the piano that John Lennon write 'Imagine' on. There was a huge bidding war and eventually the bidder on the phone won - can't remember how much it was but certainly the upper six figures, maybe 300,000 or more. Anyway the winner donated it the the City of Liverpool where's it's now on permanent display. It was only a couple of years ago that they revealed who the winner bidder and donar was - George Michael.

Nice one, George (y)
If I recall correctly his purchase wasn’t a secret. Think he had a bidding war with one of the Gallagher brothers. He was asked about it on Parkinson and said he wanted everyone to enjoy it.
Sorry, bit of a George obsessive 🤓.

Hi there, Mumsnet refugee here. I saw Tattle mentioned on a thread that got zapped and came across because apparently you get to call out Jack Monroe and Hinch here without getting the banhammer. The membership thingy helped too!

No interesting gossip here beyond the following:

1. Saw Andrew Marr at Piccadilly Station once many years ago. He really did have a mighty set of ears.
2. Overheard that Pub Landlord Al Murray guy talk about public schools with James Blunt. They sounded sooo posh 😂

Sorry, that’s all I got - carry on!

Regarding the question earlier in the thread about celebs who look better or different than you'd expect in real life: I work behind the scenes in media/entertainment and have had to meet a lot of well known people. I know that on camera people can look slightly different than they do in real life, but these are the ones that stuck with me as looking markedly different in reality versus onscreen -

Better in real life:
Toni Colette - softer looking and really very pretty.
Alia Shawkat - beautiful skin and gorgeous eyes, much sharper looking.
Elisabeth Moss - looks plain on camera but luminous in real life.
Maggie Gyllenhaal - beautiful, bright eyes none of the droopiness that the camera seems to pick up.
Gavin Williamson - looks like a dweeb on camera, but legitimately good looking in real life.
Gordon Brown - much more imposing and streamlined. Instantly draws the eye.
Marina Diamandis - really very striking.
Matt Bellamy - really unphotogenic, quite good looking in real life, very angular.
Kele Okereke - beautiful in a way that's not picked up on camera.
Régine Chassagne - likewise. Beautiful irl.

Better on screen (the camera either adores them or flatters them or they know their angles):
Margot Robbie - very much a pretty, but generic, girl next door rather than a bombshell. Had very irritated/dry skin.
Charlize Theron - very small features on a very long face.
Ana de Armas - puffy, had a double chin, looks very different without makeup.
Alexa Chung - very very very slim, very dry skin, very large teeth.
Carine Roitfeld - more masculine looking, tinier than you'd think, very sun-damaged skin, quite obvious dermal filler.
Anna Wintour - shrunken, frail, bad posture.
Tilda Swinton - not as striking, looks older, much more plain and generic looking. Opposite of Elisabeth Moss.

Not better, not worse, just different/more pronounced:
Piers Morgan - much slimmer, much taller. Very big head.
Jeremy Corbyn - even more crumpled in real life.
Matt Baker - the facial personality he has onscreen doesn't translate off-screen. Quite a forgettable face.
Emilia Clarke - tinier, more expressive, heavily lined face.
I saw Martin Kemp in John Lewis a few years ago and omg is he fit for an older gentleman! His eyes really pop! 😍

Whatever the turn of events, he's been milking the break-up with Britney to help his career ever since. First with the Cry Me a River video and then mentioning Britney in interviews whenever he's anything to plug regularly for the past 20 years. And he let Janet Jackson take all the flack for the Super Bowl nipple incident when he knew it was in the show too. He's a knob.
Over exaggerated but totally true write up of the Janet/Justin debacle here. Settle in and get some popcorn ready, served with a healthy dollop of truth: https://www.lipstickalley.com/threa...ica-owes-janet-jackson-a-huge-apology.990787/

Also, finally (I am aware I’ve been rambling lol) and very randomly: is anyone else of the age of being an impressionable teen/kid and remember the whole Eamon vs Frankee thing, where they were supposedly ex lovers and released songs about each other. Even me, as dumb as I was at the time, and not knowing the way media worked, even I raised an eyebrow and was like “is this actually real”?

Slight tangent, and of course you can't generalise about humans and sexuality, but sometimes it really is the hyper-macho ones you least expect who are up to all sorts.

My mum was with a total prick of a guy for decades when me and my siblings were growing up (me and my sister weren't his children, which made life worse), a drunk, a bigot, sexist, selfish, violent - all things you wouldn't want in a partner. He particularly hated gays - that stereotypical macho knuckle-dragging knob everyone has encountered at one point in their lives. He even used to perv over page three in front of us girls :( and he'd watch porn in the middle of the night, not caring who heard.

Fast forward years later and their relationship was breaking down (alcoholism had finally taken over his life and he was nearly always drunk or sobering up but the ill-temper and violence went up a few notches).

Mum wondered why he had so many mobile phones. One of them, apparently, had explicit messages to a few men on a gay chat SMS service and when mum told me I.COULD.NOT.BELIEVE.IT!! I still can't!!!

(This was about ten years ago - she got a restraining order and is safe and happy, but I won't bore you with any further details). As for him, let's just say karma finally got him (still alive but not in a happy place).
