I have a pen and a half in the fridge and keep being sick on day 3 even though I don't go over 1.2. I've been on saxenda on and off for a year, have a stone and a half off but have ran out of the strong anti-emetics I had from pregnancy. Need to just slap it up me but its hard to choose to feel so awful to lose weight.

@Mums84 I feel you! I was up most of last night being sick and I don’t even feel I over indulged. I’m 9lbs down in just over 4 weeks and really do wonder if I can keep going 🤢 I’m on 1.2.

Injection 2 of ozempic last night, went for the leg. Minimal effects noticed so far but hunger reduced by about 15%. 3lbs down.

I’m going to stop the Saxenda. I’ve been on it since mid February and my mood is at it worst, I’m constantly constipated and I’ve only lost around 5lbs total. Last time I spoke to the Dr they said I might qualify for Wegovy when it comes to the NHS so I may try that but unfortunately Saxenda hasn’t been successful for me.
You’ve all been such a supportive bunch and I wish you well on your weight loss journey!

Sorry to hear it hasn’t worked for you. Remember to come back if you do qualify for Wegovy ❤

Anyone have any advice about seeing their GP about their weight? I last saw a GP right before the first lockdown and she took me off the combined pill because of my BMI. I’m terrified to go even for other issues because of my weight

Possibly look at going to weight specialist if you don't think your gp will be supportive.

I’ve been on Saxenda before and it made me sick as a dog. I’m thinking of going for either Mysimba or Ozempic now, because NOTHING is shifting the gunt 😂

2 weeks on 0.5 ozempic and have been sick as a dog last week for 4 days (the works!) this week 2 days so hopefully I'm getting used to it. I'm actually afraid to eat in case I get sick again. Does this balance out and improve? Dr is keeping me on this dosage for another 6 weeks rather than moving up to give me time to adjust.

First time poster I bought a Saxenda pen via Asda pharmacy yesterday & arrived this morning. Going to have my first dose tonight. I have PCOS & it’s been such a struggle to shift any weight I’m also a mum & can’t blame the extra baby weight as my youngest will be 6 next week! It’s so expensive though & hoping I’ll be able to power through before Wegovy is available as it’s rumoured to be a bit cheaper! I’d like to experience 1 hot girl Summer as I’m sick of the fat girl Summers I’ve been having all my life! I’d be over the moon if I lost 3 stone.

I’m on week 2 of 0.25mg of ozempic. No side effects last week apart from one day when I definitely ate too much dinner and got heartburn. This week I’m quite queasy and have a really wet mouth - like what you get as a warning before you are sick

I’ve lost 10lb the first month on Saxenda which realistically I know is a lot more than I would without it but the expense and some of the days feeling absolutely rotten don’t seem to make me feel happy about it. I went to 1.8 but it was too much I couldn’t eat at all and felt sick so I’m on 1.2 again and not going to increase while it’s working I just bought extra needles. worry about whacking it back on anyway but I need to keep going now I’ve started as I always give up on things too soon

Hope everyone is getting on ok and good luck to the people who are starting it. I am still plodding on down about 12 1bs since January. Sometimes I think it is the best thing since sliced bread and then other days I feel it is a load of rubbish, probably just the way I am feeling. I probably could have lost that weight if I had just dieted normally and tried to have a bit of will power 🥴 I have 8 pens to use but not sure if I am going to order any more as it is expensive. I am only on 1.8 because I felt too sick but I am ok on that dose now. Should I go all in and increase it like they recommend upto 3.0 and use pens quicker and try to get it off quicker or should I stay on lower dose and try and wheedle as much time out of the pens? I am just maintaining at the moment I still want to lose about another stone? Sorry this is a bit of a rambling confusing post as I am in a bit of a quandary with it all. I have hardly eaten anything today, as we where having a takeaway curry for tea, was looking forward to it although a much smaller portion than I used to have, that effing changed when I saw mold on top of the yoghurt sauce for the chicken tikka FFS certainly felt like spewing up after seeing that 🤢 straight in the bin!!

I have also noticed certain foods are tasting weird which I think is down to the Saxenda, a Lemon Drizzle cake I had a bite of tasted really medicated and Skips tasted rancid, has anyone else noticed this? I wonder if it is the drugs way of trying to stop you eating? I had a sniff of the Saxenda as @rasperryjuice said it smelt of Germoline and it does I was going to taste it but thought better of it 🤣

Hi everyone, I took my first dose of ozempic last week, 0.25mg and I'm not feeling any appetite suppressant effects or any other side effects at all! Have other people experienced this? I know I'm only on the titration dose at the moment so hopefully I just need to be patient, but wasn't sure if I'm supposed to be feeling anything at this point as other people seem to be!

Thank you, I have PCOS and under active thyroid as well as taking anti depressants meds so losing is usually virtually impossible. I know what you mean about thinking you could do it with willpower but I guess that’s never worked for me before not having the appetite is a good thing but it does spoil enjoyment of family meals and things doesn’t it. I think I miss getting my comfort from food. I don’t think I’d be able to ever get to 3 I felt so ill on 1.8 but I’ve been doing what they suggest on Reddit and going up by clicks sometimes so 0.6 + 5 clicks for a week and then 1.2 to get a dose half way between maybe you could try that

Could I ask what everyone’s plan is while taking it? Like will you take it until you get to your desired weight or keep going? I’ve been watching lots of YouTube videos and lots of the American ladies are saying they’ll be having to take it for the foreseeable future to make sure the weight stays off? I really want to try it but k don’t want to pay £150 odd a month for the next 5 years of my life or so
