Consider myself educated, thanks all. In my day, there was no names for any of this as far as I'm aware ... except goth/punk/emo

Don't post much on here but is anyone else concerned that Ruby keep's thinking someone's trying to break in? She mentioned in a video quite a while ago it used to happen when she was younger and she couldn't be left in the house alone. It's really upsetting seeing her slip back into this I hope she's okay.

As someone who is very sensitive to caffeine, watching Ruby drink all that tea is giving me a headache. Maybe she only goes for caffeine-free varieties? I know she's a small thing so it must affect her if she's caffeinated all day long. Certainly wouldn't help your nerves (with regards to the paranoia about intruders).

when i was living at home before uni i was constantly worried of having someone breaking in at night and because my room was the first one at the top of the stairs it would scare me even more. i would constantly try to go to sleep before my parents went to bed, this was at the big age of 18 as well. it must be horrible how shes feeling if its the same feeling that i was going through.

If I grew up in a huge, old house like hers I'd probably be scared of being alone there too. Perhaps she couldn't let go of the fear when she moved to uni

If I spent as much time studying as she did, I would need a hell of a lot of caffeine. Wouldn't surprise me if it's contributed to that.

I do sympathise with Ruby in this case! I was fine being home alone and in my first year of uni I was in halls so there were always people around. However, in my second year of uni when I was in a house with my friends, I hated being home alone. My bedroom was right at the back of the house on the first floor, my house was cold and draughty meaning I constantly thought the sound of the heating was an intruder 😂 I don’t drink tea or coffee so I can’t even imagine how much more that would be heightened with caffeine running through your system. I hope she’s okay and seeks help if she needs it!

I’ve realised there isn’t much of a point to this post, just sharing my experience 😊

When ruby was complaining about how cold it was, she said they hadn’t been able to work the heating out yet. But she’s been in that house for a few weeks, how could she or her housemate have not worked it out by now

I have a few friends who, after being vegan for a few years, started complaining more about feeling cold. Ruby does say she's iron deficient, and from the looks of things, she doesn't seem to consume a ton of calories (not a judgment per se, just an observation).

Why is she doing an ad on Instagram stories for “hands face space” is she sponsored by the government???????

I hope not. Maybe it’s the uni?

There was a story about the Irish gov (I think) paying some big influencer to promote acting safely and I guess in a way it’s a good way to access younger people but it’s a bit off that gov money (and so public tax) goes to some influencer to make a story 🤷🏻‍♀️

She’s now promoting the covid app. I can’t believe that the government would actually pay a studytuber to promote the covid rules.

Perhaps not enough young people have signed up so they are doing targeted influencer ads? I’m astonished. I would have thought influencers would give the distancing reminders for free anyway, as good citizens? Like a simple “don’t forget your masks, guys”

Can find the money to put more money in influencer’s pockets but voted no to feed starving children over the school holidays, lol! Love what my taxes go towards.

Aswell ruby has shown herself in videos picking up loads of different books in Waterstones and putting them back. She did say she sanitised her hands between each one but it’s not the best example of good covid hygiene

Oh common nobody is going to get covid from a book cover !
It’s unlikely but it’s picking things up that aren’t essential. Why do you think people are making a big deal about cleaning surfaces and trolleys at supermarkets? Covid could spread from someone touching something that someone who is infected has touched like a book. Obviously I’m not criticising ruby because she’s followed all the rules but this annoyed me because it’s so not essential, there was no reason to pick up books that she wasn’t buying
