I was listening to a podcast where they spoke about matcha tea having weight loss benefits if you drank one every day (they also said it was disgusting but everyone else seems to love it). I wonder if that’s why she chose the two drinks… one she actually wanted to drink and one for the old metabolism…I find it really strange, but I'm kind of weird with beverages, especially ones that should be a certain temperature. It would kill me to have two mugs of liquid cooling simultaneously. How to consume them at the optimal temperature? One would be neglected or too cold by the time I was ready for it! And sipping from each is just wrong.
Yes! Glad I'm not the only one.I just came here to say that "coolottes" is driving me insane, I'm pretty sure it's cuh-lottes.
I see your point sorry been a very long day at work with covid positive residents and not thinking straightGrabbing a bargain is one thing, but Ruby having her parents drive her to Tesco just to get reduced fruit to play make-believe on Instagram isn't cool, and isn't going to fool anyone into thinking she's just like regular people.
Everyone's well aware she has a bank full of spare sponsor/charity cash, usually shops at Waitrose, already has a giant freezer full of frozen fruits and free food deliveries coming from random vegan food places, so I'm not sure who she thinks will buy this.
Yeah, maybe tone deaf isn't exactly the word. Still could do without the long mushy postI have to disagree, I think it would be tone deaf if at the end she asked people how much they loved or missed their parents but she doesn’t, and she does acknowledge ‘what home means for the person’ therefore acknowledging that not everyone has home as their parents house.
This world is full of trigger/content warnings etc but I don’t think she shouldn’t ever be able to say how much she loves her parents just because others don’t have a good relationship with theirs.
Probably Blakeney or some friend she can be co-dependent withSpot on. The whole post reads like a eulogy for some reason. This type of behaviour is not normal and I don't see how she or anyone else can justify it. I don't want to sound morbid but parents aren't gonna be around forever. So who's she gonna leech onto next?
she is a bobo imo, bobos aren't hipsters necessarily. it's a term "for a socio-professional category of well-to-do people living in large urban centers who are politically rather left-wing and ecologically sensitive."I wouldn't say she fits the bobo category tho. She's certainly pretentious enough, but not hiptser enough.
Ça fait du sens? J'ai la chansons de Renaud prise dans la tête maintenant.
That's true! Good for making new friends thoughDanke! And German unis are so huuuge as well! There are so. many. people!![]()
We sometimes call them the “Intellectual Left“, because they often come from a privileged background, study human sciences (nothing wrong with that or with being intellectual or left though!!!) of something with media, love to vote far left and demonstrate for their issues BUT love to fall back on their burgoise parents money or take a job at the family company at one point and don’t want to sent their children to the normal neighbourhood nursery/school because they don’t actually want to be confronted with working class or immigrants. In my country, we have a similar term for this "Champagne Socialist" people. We call them "Esquerda Caviar" (The Caviar Left).
Yeah she lives in half of a manor house tooThe town Ruby lives near has the average house price of over a million pounds - I knew Ruby was privileged but I think that puts into perspective just how privileged she is
Oh I completely agree with you but I probably should have added the actual reach wasn’t factored into the mark (the lecturers only ever saw the front end and the content never the analytics) but yeah if she gets feedback from viewers etc that would be slightly unexpected for someone without her audience so I agree but it depends on exactly how it’s markedI think I just find it kind of surreal because imo if you're doing an undergraduate degree designed to improve your understanding of literature (and heaven knows Ruby needs it), analysis of literature should surely be the objective here? It doesn't seem fair that an influencer is going to be able to use her advantage of having loads of followers to market to in order to improve her grade. Her analysis of literature comes across as so childish and basic, and tasks like these make me wonder how much she's actually learning about literature. I can see projects focused on making research accessible to the public being useful at Masters level and above, but not at undergrad level imo.
When it gets close to Christmas all youtubers do more adsIs it just me or she's doing a lot more sponsored videos lately?
In french, the word for "nothing" means "something" if it's used in a double negation.”I could care less” is among my top ten pet peeves (the list is long), right below using ”to no end” instead of ”no end”.
I don't think she cares. from what I've observed, she is not that invested in tech. she still has her old laptop, no PC and a basic kindle. these things scream "I don't really care for tech"For some reason im triggered that she still hasn't updated her macbook since last october. Next week macOS Monterey will be out and she will be 2 versions behind it(I need to get a life ik)
do they have the same prestige as traditional unis though?i'm assuming the UK has open online universities where you can study from home! so she could do that...
Does anyone who is in the book club have any updates btw? Is she still getting slagged off on the discord? If she can't be the most gifted person in the room and it doesn't generate money for her, she isn't interested in it. (See also: Her book club.)
