She’s very confident it’s all going to go smoothly, easy birth and breastfeeding journey etc, no two pregnancies are the same, she could end up having a c section and really struggling with recovery and BF but of course she will just manifest positiveteh and happeh thoughts

I had the dreamiest homebirth with my 3rd. Laboured for 3 hours, minimal gas and air, 2 pushes and she was out. and was up out of bed and showered within the hour making my then husband a cup of tea in bed. Also breast fed for 3 months. Fast forward to baby number 4 I had pre eclampsia, laboured for 24 hours, pushed for two hours, retained my placenta which had to be manually removed followed by a very poorly baby in SCBU for 10 days due to complications of the birth and I remained in hospital with high BP til we were both discharged.we also couldn’t breastfeed. It was horrific, she needs to be so careful because flippant comments Rebecca really can come and bite you on the arse. She’s so naive it’s actually scary she’s already a parent and having her third.

Sending you lots of love, traumatic births are exactly that, traumatic. No amount of positive thinking can change you're outcome but her bleating on about how hers will be perfect and she's just staying positive about it is bleeping mental. I feel for any first time mother's watching this tit show and thinking that's how it'll go.

I've had two traumatic deliveries that essentially fucked my mental health at the time, I then had a C-section (which I felt is always seen as a failure or the easy way out) and I have been a completely different mother this time round. I feel sorry for who I was after the first two and seeing her spout tit about how I just needed to think more positively makes me so angry! I'll be a failure again when I have no. 4 too (that's 4 kids my partner wanted, I didn't have to trick him into it)!

Exactly… one of my friends is a paramedic and i asked him what the worst calls were to deal with & he said childbirth because when it goes wrong it goes really wrong. A normal pregnancy or labour beforehand doesn’t mean an easy birth when it comes to it. One of my friends had a really easy birth with her first but her second happened so fast that her husband ended up delivering him on the living room & it was all so quick that her body went into shock afterwards x
