Got to agree, 18 year old newer drivers are pretty fearless. I think it’s great she did that drive, then again I’d think it was great if anyone did it. I’ve been a nervous driver for so long, it’s actually prevented me taking the kids anywhere. I don’t even like leaving my tiny little town by car. I just get scared. So to Bratsy and anyone else who drives further than half an hour, I applaud your bravery! Genuinely.I am so sorry but I would have done that drive at 18 and in the dark (maybe not in 6 hours cause stoping for snacks is essential) I have always loved and been a confident driver and even now drive all over the country. I will see myself out

I drove on the motorway everyday to get to work from the day after I passed my test, it was dark in winter. I really don’t think it’s a big deal, being overly cautious can be dangerous too.
She’ll not get much done living in the NW without using motorways, we’ve got loads of them.
My only concern with the time they chose was it would take ages because of the traffic, I’d have left around 10am to avoid it.
I thought the footlocker job was a joke, she hasn’t actually said what the job is, has she?

Everyone you get on the road is a risk when you think about it. Yes, I'd have preferred my own to do that drive in the daylight. It's all life experience isn't it.I’m all for kids taking risks and making mistakes but not with driving. The two near misses I’ve had this year were due to other drivers being dicks and acting like they’re the only people on the motorway. You’ll only take a big risk and make a mistake once that way
