Guys, if you want a Bugaboo but don't want to pay the price tag, and don't mind Second hand/refurbished search Barbara's Bugaboos.
We got our donkey 3 for £1000 with everything. delivered straight to us and was basically brand new. She has loads in her shop and you'd never know that someone else had used them before she gets them back in perfect condition 👌🏻

We just bought our Bugaboo fox 3 (we liked to be prepped early 😂). We bought off the natural baby shower website. I bought something else cheaper off there and got a referral code of 15%. Made the Fox 3 about £950something if that helps.
ETA: which I am aware is still a crapload of money. 🤯
That’s the one I want 😍 what colour did you go for?

It’s so lovely 🥰 . Without trying to be too outing, my husband has a disability so we had to find something which he can use independently. We loved the memory buttons on the side so he can easily remove the bassinet. We got the stormy blue. We really liked the first green but figured the blue would be more long wearing. The bugaboo website offers free slide cards so you can see the colours in person.

I didn’t know about the slide cards! I’ll have a look. I had a little go in John Lewis when I went and it seems really easy to push ect! The car seat I do find quite heavy that’s the only thing!

Hi all,

I’ve been a lurker for a while but I’m biting the bullet and posting! I’m 9+4 following 5 miscarriages in 2.5 years. I’m currently signed off with hyperemesis and something I’m really struggling with is being so sensitive to smells. I cannot bear the smell of my bedroom. It makes me so sick. Everything smells the same and it’s getting me down. I’ve changed bedding, washed any sort of fabric, currently in the process of washing all my clothes because I cannot stand the smell. My husband can’t smell what I smell, it’s not even like a bad smell but I hate it. This might sound slightly dramatic but because I’m so sick after eating, from the smell etc, it makes me so anxious to even be in the room!
My husband has just tested negative after having covid so we’ve slept apart and tonight I’ve got to sleep in here and I feel like I’m going insane!
I’ve got a lavender pillow spray which has helped previously but has anyone else got any wise words?!
Fully aware I sound like a crazy person.

It is absolutely debilitating. I had 2 HG pregnancies and in both hated the smell of my own husband. I still cannot touch the washing stuff we used at either time because it triggers me and immediately makes me feel sick. When I used to come home from being in hospital even the smell of my house made me feel sick. It doesn’t help you now but I just wanted to say it gets better, I found it really stopped probably around 18w both times. Which I feel horrible saying because it’s such a long time for you, but the best thing I found was sucking mints as I almost felt they masked the smell whilst I was sucking so I’d use them if I moved room, went to the toilet etc. x

Gosh that sounds awful. Is it worth seeing if your husband can get you some room spray that you can tolerate? Or what about a smelling pack (maybe if you’re ok with lavender a wheaty bag?)

eta - just thinking outside the box a little, I’m not sure if it’s pregnancy safe so check first but would some Vapor rub on your upper lip help?

So here’s an update for you all and also a fabulous example of my wild hormones…
Just got out of the shower and grabbed a fresh towel. Whilst in the shower, noticed a fair few strands of hair coming out which isn’t normal for me, I get out and grab the towel which now smells horrid and have a breakdown. My poor husband found me on the landing, sobbing, dripping wet and crying because I couldn’t dry myself with anything that smelt normal. He suggested Vapo rub and the second I smelt it, started being sick, naked and right in front of him. I am such a catch.

We are about to take a trip to b and m for room sprays, reed diffusers and anything that smells nice.

Thanks for kind words and suggestions… nice to know there should be an end in sight one day!

So sorry for you, I took a total aversion to the smell of the rented house we were living in when I was pregnant with baby #2. It was that bad we actually moved out altogether and moved in with my now- mother in law 😂. I can't even describe it, I could smell the people that lived there before us or something. Just the 'house smell'. All I can say to you is that you'll likely feel a lot better in a month or so and you'll likely forget how bad it ever was. Stay strong 🙏

Oh gosh :( I don't have any naked vomiting stories but I can tell you about the time I weeped my eyes out at the Cats Protection league advert and had to be consoled with a biscuit because I couldn't stop crying. Sadly happens with fair regularity!

I posted a little earlier on in my pregnancy hoping it wud get better but it hasn't. Still struggling with shortness of breath and unable to stay awake due to waking every hour through night due to breathing problems? 35 weeks pregnant Monday and petrified I won't be able to care for my baby due to falling asleep

I've had a text today asking me to go to the antenatal clinic in the morning for a fasting blood test to check again for gestational diabetes. This is after the sugar in my pee and growth issues. If it comes back positive, little miss will be coming even earlier than planned.

I've also got a haemorrhoid 😐😐😐 lovely (!)

It's mad isn't it. On the one hand I want the people looking after my child to be paid appropriately for doing a hard job. But on the other hand if it costs most or all of your salary then it makes the decision really difficult!

I get teary thinking about baby going to nursery and making little baby friends 😭 😭 and he's not even here yet
The sad thing is, having worked in paid for nurseries, the money doesn't go to the staff actually looking after the children. It's the people that own the business sitting in their big houses while their staff put in the hard work on minimum wage with no benefits.

Does anyone else due just feel a bit meh? Like everyone keeps asking if I’m excited etc. and I am but also just a bit…unbothered? I feel awful saying it but I’m exhausted and can only really think about not being unintentionally mean to my husband and 5 year old and getting through the day. I’ve only got tomorrow and then in for a section and I’d love to do something fun snd halloweeny for my boy but I can’t even tolerate standing up or wearing leggings for longer then 20 mins. Am I awful?!

Tomorrow is the due date for the baby I miscarried at 9 weeks. All week I've been an emotional mess and really found my mental health struggling. While I'm so so so unbelievably grateful to be pregnant again and I understand implicitly how lucky I am, I couldn't stop thinking about 'what could have been' or how I felt like my body let my first baby down. I eventually opened up to my husband and my Dad and they both have stepped in immediately and have taken practical steps in ways to alleviate stress and pressure on me.
( Basically long story short, I completely underestimated how opening up to certain people can help, it's important to reach out even when you feel like you can't/shouldn't)

Tomorrow I've asked my husband to go for a walk in the woods with me because being outdoors and active just calms me. After the walk we are planning to go and buy the first few bits for this baby, I was putting it off out of fear and anxiety but I think it might be a nice way to put a slightly better twist on tomorrow and at almost 27 weeks I should probably at least buy a babygro to start with because there's so much to buy.

Sorry for the length of this ladies, I think it's me ranting trying to process how I feel.

Sorry I've tried twice to put a spoiler on this, if anyone finds this triggering I'll delete it straight away!

Hey, so is this an ongoing issue? Breathlessness in the third trimester is COMPLETELY normal because all your organs are so squished up, literally the minute I gave birth last time it was like the floodgates opened and I could breathe again. However if it’s something you think it outside of the norm, you should speak to your midwife.
On the topic of sleep, don’t get me wrong it’s bloody exhausting, however for me it almost felt like a biological thing, like adrenaline keeping me up in those first few weeks/months. My baby would be asleep and I’d just be wide awake staring at them and not even feel tired 😂

I threw up down myself while I was on the toilet the other week if it makes anyone feel any better. I also remember crying at a tik tok of how much someone loved their cat in my first trimester, and an episode of Star Trek, I was in bits for hours.

Also I can't remember who it was but someone on this thread shared that they wee'd themselves a bit when throwing up and it happened to me the day after I read it and I was so grateful to them for sharing and to know it wasn't just me!

Sometimes if I feel that sick and don’t want to get up to go to the bathroom I’ll just be sick on the floor 😣 that’s the bad days
