The weighing thing must be something else that varies by trust. I was weighed at booking in, and again for my NIPT, then went months before I was weighed again.

I think they've weighed me at my last 3 appointments now, but it was literally jump on the scales and add it to my notes. Nobody's told me the numbers, or mentioned if they're good or bad.

I don't feel like I've gained an awful lot. Everyone keeps saying I've only gained on my bump, but I was on the bigger side to start with so other parts of me are already big 😂

Just had my twenty eight week appointment, bump measuring at 90th percentile and had glucose in urine so got to go back on Wednesday for a diabetes test. Anyone had a similar experience? Bit shocked as I've been very lucky and had a textbook pregnancy until now.
try not to worry, measuring big doesn’t always indicate something and if they measured your bump it’s highly inaccurate! I’m measuring on the 98th and don’t have GD! Prep for the test though, it’s very boring and you’ll be starving after! Good luck!

When did you guys pack your hospital bags or when are you planning to? I ordered a big bag and it came today but I just thought should I have two different bags for me and the baby or use one big one for us both?

I’d use a big one for you both (as it’s less to carry) but maybe have smaller bags inside? Last time I had those really big sealable freezer bags and could label them, eg one for knickers, one for baby grows, one for sanitary pads etc etc. made it easier to find everything and know what I was running low on! (We stayed in for five days)

I'm 36+4 and mine's been done 2 or 3 weeks now. I've got a holdall for me and I'm using the changing bag for baby, like I did last time.

Check what your hospital provides, because it varies a lot. For example, some provide formula, others ask you to bring the ready made bottles.

I'd recommend putting whole outfits (e.g vest, sleepsuit, hat, cardigan) for baby in their own zip seal food bags and labelling them with the contents and size. It saves digging through your bag or relying on birth partner or nurse to find stuff if you're not able to get out of bed straightaway.

Don't forget a bag to put mucky washing in.

I'd also say don't go mad if you can help it. Space on the wards can be limited, and our hospital don't let you keep loads of stuff around your bed. Bags have to be kept in cupboards at the end of the ward out of the way of staff doing checks and cleaning. You can always make up an extra bag to keep to one side at home or kept in the car to top stuff up if need be.

I was around 30 weeks, I had a small suitcase for me, changing bag for baby and then a separate bag for life with snacks and last minute bits. We were allowed to keep stuff under the beds so I just did that at first, but then I ended up with a private room anyway. As someone said, definitely pack a “first outfit” all together in a sandwich bag or something and pop it on top of baby’s stuff e.g. vest, nappy, sleepsuit, hat so someone can just grab it when it’s time.

So woke up at 5.30am with a banging headache and just assumed it was a junk food hangover after my Indian last night but still can’t shift it now and I’ve been taking paracetamol all day 😩 no swelling and my blood pressure has always been on the low side if anything but think I’m going to have to give triage a ring if it’s got me up in the night again 😭

Not to alarm you but have you done a covid test? Mine started with a horrendous headache I couldn’t shift for about a day and then cold symptoms about a day after.

Nooo I haven’t, I feel fine in myself tbh but will grab one tomorrow just to rule it out if it’s still lingering!

I couldn’t settle and ended up calling up about the lack of movements

all they’d do for me was check for heartbeat, but it’s helped me worry less hearing it so I’m glad I did go

.. I did worry a lot when they couldn’t find it at first but then they did find it on the side where I feel the movements

home and to relax until this baby scares me again 🙃

I loved Ovia pregnancy. It’s has settings that allow you to see babies size as an odd animal! I used to get so excited to see what animal I was carrying every Sunday morning ❤

Thinking of ordering the pram when I go into labour as it apparently comes pretty quick on the bugaboo website I just don’t really want to spend £1200 for it to be sat in the house for 3 months! Or am I mad?😂

Feeling super defeated. Hadn’t felt baby move so went in today to be monitored everything is fine thankfully but he’s only 4/5th engaged and midwife said he needs to be 3/5 to get a sweep and the way she was talking just really made me feel like he’s not going to come she’s saying they let me go 12 days over then book induction which I really don’t want☹ Just feel hopeless I know these are silly feelings and I should be grateful but it’s hard. It was interesting though I was having pretty regular “tightenings” on the monitor but I couldn’t actually feel them

I had a successful sweep at 4/5ths, my waters broke 36 hours after I had it done. Things can change so quickly so don’t wear yourself down worrying about being induced when you’ve got a long while yet for things to naturally progress x
