They smell quite sweet.
Do you think you could be leaking? Pop a pad on lay down for a while when you stand up if any comes out give it a smell, there definitely will be a sweetness to it, it's hard to describe but it's totally different to urine.

When mine leaked with the 9yo I constantly felt like I was wetting my pants, it felt more than the usual discharge and feeling you get down there if it makes sense?
Potentially yes. I’ve done that, gonna watch some TV and then see what happens when I stand up.
If I miss my Sunday dinner I’ll be foaming because I’m starving!
Thank you!

Hopefully you still get it🤞🏻
I went to triage loads and no one would swab me and told me I was wetting myself 😂

I didn't really know what was meant by sweet smell. But it didn't smell like pee, that's all I can say 😂 it didn't have much smell I don't think. Just knew it didn't smell like pee

Amniotic fluid question….

Obviously I’ve had a complicated pregnancy and baby Neo is expected any time.

What do your waters leaking feel/smell like? (Soz for the TMI)
They smell so sweet! I put a pad on for an hour and then rang triage after that, at first it was like a little trickle but I felt like I’d weed, then twice I fully felt it down my legs like I was weeing & I was soaked but it depends how much you have apparently. Definitely smells different to wee & it’s should be clear on your pad! xx

It’s funny with waters breaking because you know how they say you won't experience a huge gush that everyone near you will need to worry about getting their shoes wet (like on TV) - that’s exactly how mine came out! Went to bed and felt a weird popping sensation, stood up and it literally just flooded out onto the carpet. Couldn’t mistake it for anything else. And that was hours before my contractions even started!

My mum told me yesterday that when she was 7 months pregnant on my sister she thought she had wet herself but turns out it was her waters going, she never went to the hospital- baby stayed put for 2 more months but mum said it was classed as a “dry birth” 🥴😬🥴

I’ve now interviewed her about her 4 births, really wish I’d done this the first time round. Induced each and every time! Bloody kids, who’d ‘ave ‘em!

Plan of action for this evening - go for a walk, hot nandos, hot bath, then sex 🤣 midwife will give me a sweep at my appt tomorrow but not 100% if I want one just yet might ask her to book me back in at the end of the week when I’m 41 weeks but really hoping I don’t make it to that 😭 can’t even remember what time my appt is tomorrow because I was just so confident last time I wouldn’t be pregnant anymore I didn’t bother to retain the information 🙃 numpty

Anyone else who’s due feeling anything coming on? And any other tips to induce labour more than welcome although I think I’ve pretty much exhausted the list already 😅

This may sound like a silly question. I’m 17+3… is it normal to feel heavier/like there’s abit more of a bump there some days then others? Is it just bloat coming and going?

Can anyone talk to me about induction? I’m in since 7am and have had 2 gels and feel nothing. It’s stressing me out as everyone around me is progressing. I know everyone is different but I expected a baby by now

I know its hard and easier said than done, but they'll get fed up of being forced to come out soon and they'll start to come😅
Keep mobile, stay on your ball. Lots of stair walking if you can & try not to compare yourself to the other ladies around you!
Good luck x

If you can, walk as much as you can. Have they said what they'll do after the gels?
I've never had the gels, I think they tend to do them before your due date as the woman in the room with me was 37 weeks and they gave her gels but gave me a 24 hour pessary straight away

So they will examine me again at 10 and then decide whether to break my waters or not. I’m 40 weeks today

I’m 2 days over and neither have I but honestly I really don’t think much of that, I never had any with my son, just woke up one morning like yep I’m in labour 🙃 and he was here within 12 hours! I do really want to avoid an induction though so I’m hoping one of these stupid old wives tales actually works 😂

I think you have to be 3cm for them to break your waters.
Hopefully they'll give you the pessary as I find that has worked almost instantly for me!
