Hiya, I’m normally a usual over in the New baby thread however I noticed the Positive Birth Co have an offer on the Hypnobirthing course for only £12.
Oh awesome thanks for the heads up! I did it last time so definitely buying it again for a refresher

Not an early one, but with my son it started in the 3rd trimester and carried on for weeks after birth. It was fun 🤨

My favourite early pregnancy symptom is currently the bloating. I'm loving all my trousers cutting into me, it's just the best feeling 😐😂

Thank the lord for leggings 😂
I swear I look less pregnant at 17 weeks than I did at 8 weeks due to how bloated I was haha

Anyone else experienced their folic acid making them nauseous? 😖 a couple of times now I’ve felt generally fine but then not long after taking it if it’s been later in the day etc my nausea has really spiked and I’ve had horrid acid reflux with it as well 😫
I swear mines makes me nauseous said to my dr and he said he’s never known it to make anyone sick but I Defo feel worse after taking it I’ve started taking mines before bed x

So many people told me theirs made them nauseous (I was experiencing the same) so I swapped to liquid form and haven't been nauseous since

Yeah mine absolutely is, I’ve noticed a couple of times now I’ve felt generally okay until I’ve taken it! Going to switch to taking mine before bed too hopefully that will help 🤞

Has anyone been measured for maternity bras? I went to Mothercare last time but obv it’s closed down now 😞

Question about implantation bleeding.. (unsure if I’m pregnant, might just be AF) but did anyone experience it? I wiped first thing this morning and there was a bit of brownish blood on the paper, but I’ve been since and nothing on the paper. Does this sound like implantation or?

Definitely could be, I had implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy but not my second, it was just very light pinky/brown like the last day of your period or something and I noticed it when I wiped and then put a pantyliner on and had a little bit more over the day.

Not sure where you are (I'm glasgow) but we have a woman who specialises in maternity/breastfeeding bras and she came out to measure me and brought some with her. But if you join your local breastfeeding fb group you might have something similar. That's how I found out about this woman

Hi all, finally plucked up the courage to join this thread! I had a scan yesterday and am happily 7/40 with baby number 2 after 3 miscarriages last year. I just wondered if anyone here has any experience of progesterone pessaries in early pregnancy? I’ve been prescribed them by my consultant and stupidly run out today (thought I had another box), called my GP and they can’t give me a prescription until Monday for some reason and I can get through to EPAU / my consultant at the hospital. I guess I just wanted to see if anyone else has ever had to miss a couple of days and it was all okay? I feel like it will be fine, I’m taking it for reassurance because I asked for it more than anything else, and I’m already further along than I was with any of my miscarriages - none of those got as far as a visible heartbeat - but just thought I’d ask if anyone else had skipped a couple of days!

Heyyy I’m finally back!!! I had my baby girl on Tuesday at 9.30 via Caesarian and it has been an absolute worldwind!! She was a whopping 9lb9 😂😂 she’s currently in NICU though as she was born with some fluid on her lungs which has caused a small infection but she’s now off the oxygen, the drip and on normal bottles, just waiting on some last bloods to come back and to finish her course of antibiotics then she’ll be home. I cannot believe how much I love her already, she’s just amazing and I can’t stop staring at her 😭🥰 I came home yesterday, had to stay a little longer due to some blood loss which is apparently quite normal with a low placenta but it’s actually not been tooooo bad of an experience so far! I’m in a lot of pain with the cut but on some good drugs and am able to get to and from the hospital to see her quite well, had a wheelchair the first couple of days which was nice 😂 hope everyone else is doing well!!! Can’t wait to hear everyone else’s stories as the weeks and months go on, I can’t leave this thread yet!!!! Xxxxx

congratulations 💕 so glad baby girl is here! What a great size too! Hope she’s able to come home soon🤞 and that your recovery is speedy, try to relax and rest loads, I’m 4 weeks post c-section and still spend most days just in my pjs on the sofa cuddling him 🤣 other things can wait.

also not leaving the thread, maybe ever 😂

Thank you!!! I know I could not believe the size of her 😂 just out of interest, how well has your wound healed? I have had the dressing off now and I took a quick peak of it earlier and it didn’t look as bad as I expected tbh, but I’m soooo conscious of getting it infected. I will try to take it easy, my boyfriend is being so good so let’s hope he keeps it up 😂 xx

my wound has healed really well, I think all my stitches have dissolved now! It’s really not as bad as you initially think is it, I remember being scared to take my dressing off but when I did I was pleasantly surprised 😂 . How are you finding the pain? I found the first week or 2 quite painful at times, but then it suddenly just eased off and now I feel completely back to normal. I was really scared of infection too, Aslong as you keep it clean and dry though you should be fine, and plenty of rest. Ahh good, glad you have him trained well 🤣

@Dak1988 congratulations!!! Sorry to hear it’s been a bit of a rougher start for you, but fingers crossed you get baby girl home asap.
I was always very conscious of not wanting an infected incision too. My top tip is to air it as much as possible, especially after a shower (I would put my pants on and just roll them down obscenely low 🤣) that’ll help keep it dry, and I didn’t get an infection either time I had a section.
