I've never heard that one. For which I should probably be grateful!Probs been done but “ITS GIVING”
We do it just to embarrass our children.I was thinking today about how, in the past, slang and stupid phrases like "it's giving " would have been used by young people, now the fact that fully grown adults are speaking in this stupid way annoys me irrationally
I've never actually heard an adult use any of these awful expressions in "real life" only on social media tbh so you might be rightWe do it just to embarrass our children.
When they are not around we speak normally
I’m confused … what does it mean ?I've just heard Cossy Lives. Euw!
Cozzie livs, cost of living crisisI’m confused … what does it mean ?
Thank you. Thought I'd spelt it wrong!Cozzie livs, cost of living crisis
Drag queen speak, itself stolen from black American girls' street slang from the '80s. I think "that slaps hard" is from the same source, and that needs to go away as well.I loathe the expression SLAY with a passion and "You GO girl"
Like this-ah?Not exactly an expression but the current trend (amongst women it seems) to add "ah" to the end of every sentence makes me feel very, very tired. Tired-ah I say-ah!
Oh, there was a girl doing this on bake off last series and I wanted to strangle her-ah!Like this-ah?
My boyfriend says this. First time I heard it I was like what the duck are you talking aboutAnother annoying americanism......... people who say 'C suite' to refer to upper management. Absolute cringe
Omg yes I watched a tik tok of someone who was referring to all her dresses as "she" in a try on videoHate the trend of calling everything a "she", for example a photo of a drink with a caption "she's tasty" or similar.
OMG yes a couple of years ago I was working with some early 20's ladies and it was Y'all this and that even in the work group chat these girls both had heavy Brummie accents. I'm Brummie myself I've learnt how to down my accent one day after being thoroughly pissed off with too many Y'alls my inner Arthur Shelby came out and I said " would Yous two duck off with your Yank Slang "British people using the term "Y'all"
Or anyone using it!British people using the term "Y'all"
