just my opinion: when people talk about larries, they jump straight to the extreme ones when there are so many mild larries who just read larry fics (as a story) or indulge in random theory videos when they're bored, instead of those who are dying to prove it exists. it's not really black and white and i think that the immediate hate someone gets the moment they mention larry in a joking manner or just as a passing comment is so stupid.

I’ve read Larry fanfics in the past I’ve NEVER consider myself a Larry lol and wouldn’t consider those who just read it as a story to be Larrys lol.

What you described as ‘mild Larrys’ I don’t think most people would describe even as Larrys or get mad at.

But if you’re trying to prove someone who identifies as a straight man to be in a relationship with another man that is out of order. I don’t care how ‘extreme’ you consider yourself, it’s if the shoe fits. If Louis comes out as queer that’s different but just because Larrys think he is doesn’t mean he has to be outed by them. And don’t get me started on the ones who bring Jay into their theories, and the ones who call non Larrys homophobic, honey I don’t like Larrys because I’m queer myself and understand what it’s like to be in the closet. Do I believe that Larry was real at one point? idk it may of been possible, do I have an issue with it? No, my issue is with people trying to prove it.

Anyways what’s up with Ziams? I stumbled onto a Ziam account and their proof was just so far fetched and the hate they give it’s disgusting. Like I’ve met nice Larry shippers but never a somewhat nice Ziam shipper

I’ve read Larry fanfic before as well and wouldn’t consider myself a Larry in the slightest. I’ve read loads of fanfic where I don’t know who the two people are in real life because I read for the plot not because I actually shipped the people.

Louis' fans are 90% Larries. Every night on tour they're there with their Larry signs and T shirts. He had so many pride flags thrown on stage that he was tripping over them, so eventually banned fans from chucking any items on stage.

There's a Ziam on Tumblr called yaz-the-**** who makes angry raging posts about how evil Yolanda was for 'framing Zayn', ignoring the fact that Zayn called her a 'Dutch slut'. Yaz genuinely thinks that Zayn is back in London living with his husband Liam lol.

The problem with even “casual” larries is that they still give a platform to the deluded people making these theories and encouraging hate towards their partners and families/friends. Most of the jokes that are made about them aren’t funny tbh and rely on old homophobic stereotypes of limp wrists to prove a point. Idk a lot of the young Larry frenzy is very fetishising to me and it creeps me out that so many larrie fics are with 16/17 year old harry in sexual situations.

I find the whole ‘straight girl writing gay porn’ thing completely bizarre, particularly in the early days when the authors had very little knowledge (a blessing perhaps) of same sex activities.

Then again straight men are turned on by lesbian porn.

Re. Liam & Louis writing 1d songs - they had vanity credits for sitting in on sessions and suggesting themes & lyrics. Neither one can play an instrument so Julian Bunetta et al did the heavy lifting. Liam's new label weren't prepared to go along with that farce.

RE: Louis very different story from A&R peeps in the industry. He established from album 2 he wanted to write. Writing team mainly Savan Kotecha was against it. Album 3 he got his way and Savan was pushed out, and has been sour about him and Liam ever since. Well known in AR circles in the industry.

i mean i completely agree with you guys that there are crazy people out there who make larry their mission to expose. either way, was just sharing my opinion! sometimes feel like this is just a back and forth that never goes anywhere the moment the l word is mentioned, at the end of the day everyone's gonna do what they want (unfortunately) and nothing much can change these people's minds.

So so sad. My heart breaks for Louis and the rest of the family. Poor girl. Louis had tried so hard to help her get into recovery, but I think she was surrounded by people who used, and no amount of rehab changed her friendship circle. She struggled with mental health and I’m guessing Jay’s death just broke her.
