That’s a good question. I don’t see why not - it looks like dehydrated astronaut food. I checked my soy sauce and it doesn’t have koji. Which brand do you use?
I think because it's very temperature sensitive I doubt instant processed stuff is nutritious. My miso needs to be in the fridge and not heated to high temps. Processed foods are often low in nutrition. Like sauerkraut in shops; most of it has been heat treated and pasteurised so doesn't have the beneficial bacteria.

Food packaging is often missing things, like you'd never see the solvent used to make decaffeinated coffee on the label. Often things used in the processing / manufacturing isn't on the label although they could put it on if they want to.

Sauerkraut fermented with vinegar is what makes it lose its probiotic benefit. I have a high quality soy sauce that is unpasteurized and it doesn’t mention koji. I’m sure if they were allowed to tout that ingredient or call it a probiotic food they would.

The temperature sensitivity varies. I have a probiotic that can be kept outside the refrigerator. I don’t do that, but I could 🤪

She just loves packaged foods. All those protein powders and supplements, frozen acai bowls, delivered meals and food boxes. That miso is like posh Cup-a-Soup. I can't believe she used to make her own granola and flapjacks, I guess it was just a trend she was following, not a conviction?
She needed to 'cook' to flog the book. Ooooooh poetry 😅😅

Like sauerkraut in shops
I don’t know what’s wrong with my brain today. For some reason I automatically assumed you meant a deli shop. I was confused and grossed out 😅 Sometimes sauerkraut is sold in the refrigerated section of shops. Those will have their probiotics left intact. It’s necessary to double check the label though for vinegar. Bubbies is a nice brand. They sell sauerkraut and pickles without vinegar. They are expensive but they went on sale quite often in the summer.

Every supermarket sells sauerkraut, and quite a lot of corner shops these days. But you'd need to go to a specialist shop to get the real stuff that hasn't been pasteurised. 99% of it doesn't have the health benefits.

I do like this thread 😆, although it's on topic in fairness and questioning her dodgy advice

I wouldn't assume anything! Sunny delight sold so well partly because they got it in fridges even though it didn't need to be.

sunny delight reminds me a bit of Nims, all a con to trick people that don't look for the substance.

Haha I like it too. I used to lurk and the thing that made me fall in love with this forum were the different POVs.

Sauerkraut in the refrigerated section is not always going to be beneficial. I came across a brand that seemed fine until I read the label. Lactofermentation is the process you want achieved when pickling if you’re after probiotic foods:

@Lionsden I read about the stomach cancer thing previously and it definitely stopped me in my tracks!!!

Ok this was fun. If anyone wants to keep discussing probiotics @ me in the forum’s advice section. I want to hear everything there is to learn 😂 Sorry everyone for derailing 🙈 ❤

Guys I think the mistake we've made is falling into the trap of thinking Niomi knows or cares about nutrition at all. I mean this is the woman who says things like 'blueberries are so great because they are a superfood' and that's the extent of the information 🤣

Remember when she bought out a range in boots all she could say about the blueberry hand cream was it's a really great size you can keep it by the side of the bed 😆. But she's been working so hard on these products for years...

She went on to say she's releasing a reusable water bottle as it's so important to reduce plastic use and the next item she showcased was a cheap plastic cosmetics bag that looked like it would last at most few weekends away 🤦‍♀️

Blatantly just the Zoella crappy stuff by the same company. They ended that line after the advent calendar scandal.

Poor Niomi, she has honestly nothing to do in life, she continues to repeat what she did in Spain at her Spa. Her life is so empty.

Does Niomi even watch television? She never brings up anything current. All I know is she likes Notting Hill and her and Joe watched that Woody Allen  movie that somehow led to him having a realization that he should dump her. I can't imagine Niomi staring at anything for more than 20 minutes other than herself in a mirror. Preening like a bird. It's sort of fitting her annex looks like a bird cage.

A theory: Charlotte and her may have had a falling out because of the Forky thing; if Charlotte thought Joe was perfect for Niomi (but not for her lol), then imagine what she must think of Forky. Plus, being a Tory would be okay because wealth, but I do think someone actually classy like Charlotte (from background, or at least what it looks like) would draw the line at sexing it up with a fascist. Call me an idealist! But I think it likely that Charlotte is distancing herself because it's one thing to show off your beau in a shameless way (the dreamy Joe period), and it's another, in terms of tackiness, to be all pathetic with a nobody body builder who is an internet troll. She may even have said something, hence the parade of clowns (i.e. people we've never seen + "friends" that look like they were for hire or just friends of Forky) at her wedding/housewarming party.

Another thing: we all know she's not using that shampoo bar. I've used several, and some for long periods of time, but I would imagine since we have the same kind of thick, long hair (mine in a much better state obvi), there's no way she's really using it. I haven't found the right shampoo bar for me, there's always residue, even when I do a vinegar rinse like my grandma used to do, and I ended up with absolutely nasty hair. I looked it up online and it does seem to happen to some people, but I tried all the ways to properly rinse your hair and it never worked. Anyways, given her mane, I don't believe for a second that she uses this product.

All this education on Asian wellness practices and yet she still hasn't learned that a weekly oil treatment would do wonders for the straw she calls hair.

LMAO what was the Woody Allen movie? Was it Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask?

65 inches?? That's huge, so tacky. Better than that awful clock mirror on the wall though.

Her only education is on how to take selfies in a specific angle.
