Well little Ronnie has learned from the best, his mother. She knew he would be snatching everything and grabbing at everything just like she does. He's turning into a little brat because she's made him that way.

I guess she could just lie as per usual and say Ron was still asleep when Len got up (but that would go against her usual lie that Ron never sleeps!). Even so, if that was the case she could have waited until Ron got up; all the birthday stuff was shut away in the playroom so it’s not like he would see any of it unless she took him in there.
