She won’t ever be getting out if found guilty.

Holly and Jessica’s murderer is very much behind bars. Maxine Car was only found guilty of perverting the course of justice and released a few years after.

That Facebook group pisses me off so much uno. Why are they so determined to prove her innocence. Most are men as well like she’s in jail she’s not gonna bag you

I’ve been lurking since the start of the trial and have refrained from commenting. At the start I maybe did think it was a cover up and she was a scapegoat for bigger failings and then as the trial had progressed I started thinking what if she had committed these awful offences? Today had totally confirmed her guilt for me. Writing out a sympathy note for a child who isn’t dead. Who’s sick enough to do that? She intended to kill all of the triplets and even if she did have an answer for the sympathy message it just wouldn’t stand up in my eyes. There is no way on this earth you could justify writing such a message. Also the fact she was seeing NoName and he had a wife and and children shows she’s not this innocent girl she has tried and failed to portray. I’m not saying that there wasn’t still failings in the care of these poor babies by the hospital aswell but she’s guilty as sin as far as I’m concerned.

The cross has given us so many extra details for each baby in the case. Just think of the details we didn’t get from the expert witness evidence! The reporting at really crucial times was so poor for lots of them. Barely any detail on some expert evidence at all. The jury have heard lots more than us and I still just can’t understand where the doubt lies really. All of these little lies, the paper work and searches are absolutely entwined with her guilt and as bad as they appear but the witness and expert witness accounts will have been hugely compelling. To say there’s reasonable doubt when you’ve had an expert radiologist that has studied 500+ cases of air in children post mortem and they’ve said the air in these babies was more than he had seen on all but a handful and all those had explanations like road traffic accidents. There were extremely unusual amounts of air without there being a solid explanation of how it got there, that it “stands to reason” that the air was administered. There was a globule of air by the IV for baby D. According to the defence, she’s supposed to have died from the sepsis she had all but recovered from and had no soft signs of. There is a huge liver injury that is a match for purposeful harm. There are two babies pumped with synthetic insulin, it doesn’t matter how the blood was held, the insulin is there and there is a very clear medical record of prolonged hypoglycaemia. There are multiple doctors, nurses and parents saying there were rashes. Screaming. Bleeding. How many times have we heard doctors and nurses say they’d never experienced things like it, could find no natural cause. How many texts of disbelief that another baby that was doing well had died. How many problems when the designated nurse took their break or a parent had finally gone to go and get some sleep? How many times have parents been had to have been wrong about the very last moments of their babies short lives? And all the while she has sat there listening knowing full well that she is evil, she’s guilty, she did this.

All of this a million times over. There is soooooo much we clearly aren’t privy to due to the reporting which became clear in the cross.

Also, these people want to believe her account on the stand during her evidence right? During this same evidence she was confirmed she agreed with the expert evidence and that a number of these babies did in fact due from what they have concluded. But her defence is just that it wasn’t her. HOW can you possibly disregard all the other bits of evidence?
It would be like them finding multiple stabbing victims & the same last person to always be with them, who had searched them all on Fb, taken personal things from them & kept them, to be texting friends about accidental stabbings, drafting sympathy messages for someone that was still current alive but not actually being caught physically stabbing them & their defence, among their many lies, being “yes but it wasn’t me”. How reasonable is it that there was someone else? It’s not reasonable at all.
It’s not reasonable here either.

Also, the bit where she put the form in about the plug being off & it possible it could be accidental air embolism for one of the babies? I thought she didn’t know what one was? I swear she said that at one point

So just catching up. I’ve had to stop reading live after Thursday’s evidence being so upsetting. The draft of the triplet’s sympathy card with all 3 names.

My God! Utterly chilling.

Even my uninterested husband got teary at hearing that. She is actually guilty isn’t she?I've always leant towards her being guilty but had that small nagging doubt about “what if?” But that’s confirmed it in my mind.

Evil. She is pure evil.

She actually planned it. I’m crying for those babies and their families.

I think he’ll probably be more hopeful that the verdict and her performance in the stand is no reflection on him. I know it’s his job to defend her but I think if found guilty he’ll be as happy to see a baby killer banged up as anyone else would x

The latter I would hope. He’s done a good job with what he had. Allitt’s defence went on to become a High Court Judge. No shame if he loses. Still find the “it’s difficult to say if you don’t know” bit about the insulin laughable though

Just listened to the latest podcast.
However much I want to know what Drnoname looks like I hope we don’t ever find out, not for his sake but his poor wife and kids.
what I don’t get is how he continued to see her after she’s been removed from the unit, surely by this point he knows why and what all the other Drs are saying about her. I wondered when he finally seen sense and finished it.
But what an embarrassment for him, I wonder if he’s moved far away to get away from the gossip
I bet he was in trouble too as he was sending messages outwith Work about patients.

I was wrong with how BNE would finish his cross examination but to be fair to myself, he was privy to a bit more information than I was! I still can’t get over today.

I think the jury deliberations will take longer than we think, definitely not how quick they came back for the rum that is Thomas Cashman.

I did jury service on a multiple (5) charge indictment. The judge was very, very clear that we first had to reach unanimous verdicts on all charges, and that each charge must be looked at individually as well as the evidence given in court. After 4 days we were called back, asked if we were close. We were unanimous on all but 2. So back we went and 2 days later reached the same verdict on all charges. Judge was prepared to accept a majority if we reached day 7 of deliberations.

This sounds awful, but it’s tedious. All it takes is one person to think different to the rest and a day easily passes by. Then it’s back through every jot of evidence for the single charge. For 22 charges, I’d expect no less than a week tbh even if they’re unanimous from the off.

Mr Johnson says Letby had given evidence surrounding her suspension from the unit in her first day of giving evidence to the defence.
She had said she felt very isolated from my friends and family on the unit, and her mental health had deteriorated.
LL: "We were a very supportive unit - regardless of whether we were personal friends, we were a supportive unit.
LL: "At the time the hospital advised me not to contact anyone on the unit...there were two or three friends I could contact, but [not to contact anyone on the unit]."
Letby is asked if that was true. "Yes." And if she abided by that. "Yes."
Letby adds that did change as time went on.
Letby has a document which she received from the prosecution this morning on her social life.
Mr Johnson says it "disproves everything" that Letby had said. Letby disagrees.
"You were telling the jury a sob story, that you had been cut off from your family as you called them, on the unit?" Letby disagrees.
NJ: "Were you looking for sympathy?
LL: "Yes, it was a very difficult time."
NJ: "Was it just a mistake?"
LL: "Yes."
The document includes photos of Letby's nights out and days out with colleagues, Mr Johnson says. They include a trip to London with a doctor colleague. Letby says that happened once.

Catching up very slowly but how lovely of BNE to give her such a beautiful document for her paper collection as a parting gift. You can almost imagine him and his team chuckling away to themselves as they thought and made up that one.

I googled earlier to get a benchmark, Shipman was 6 days, I couldn't find a time for jury for Allitt.

I'm thinking about a week too, I guess we don't know what the judge will instruct but it would be usual procedure to return a verdict for each charge so they will have to go through each one.

Just been on websleuths and they have posted up transcript from most recent podcast...so Lucifer went with DrNoName to London on 8th June 2017...2 year anniversary of Baby A's death. Is that just a coincidence or a sick, premeditated plan by Letby to commemorate his murder?
