And then to add insult to injury, she did the whole "I just want to help a young family and do a lower rent" spiel when she was looking for tenants as if she was some saintly person instead of someone making money off someone else's housing needs.
Don't you understand the angelic thing she's done? Yeah she might be 'driving up property prices' and 'stopping people getting on the property ladder' but she lowers their rent!

I mean if she really wanted to help single mum, why not do it up and sell it for less than the market value. Let a single mum get on the property ladder.

Well that was awkward:

1) Darcy talking about how it took 36 hours for her to be born and Louise talking about how difficult it all was. Give the kid a break from this narrative- it had nothing to do with her.
2) Darcy and Pearl unwrapping presents and just putting them down again with no interaction
3) Easter eggs wrapped as gifts?
4) Louise being super intense and forcing each moment to be emotional. Exhausting and drained all the fun from the occasion.
5)Louise's passive aggression x 100 to her dad that Darcy seems to have now inherited
6) that question about what the world will look like in 10 years and Darcy's answer of 'it will continue to rot' - so much anxiety put on young shoulders
7) Louise asking what Darcy will look like in 10 years and her answer indicating that she would have a double chin
8) Darcy telling an embarrassing 'savage' story about Louise ( off camera) that clearly pissed her off
9) trashing Pearl - pretty much throughout the vlog.

What a miserable Birthday. My girl will be 10 in a couple of months and I'll use this is a guide for what to avoid...
Even the 'sweet' moment of Darcy getting emotional about the necklace and thanking Louise was made awkward by Louise mugging at the camera and that oh so sincere message she wrote on the screen about the girls being a gift to her (which I also thought was a weird way to word it). Imagine thanking your mum for a present whilst feeling emotional and having a camera shoved in your face the whole time.

I also thought it was really sweet the way Pearl said 'I'm worried about it' when Louise's dad was bouncing too hard on the trampoline. But that makes it seem like she's actually quite good for her age at articulating her feelings and I wonder if Louise considers that 'whingeing.'

How much therapy does Lou need?! She has problems with her Dad, seemed to have an awkward relationship with her grandparents and exploited them for views and sympathy, resents both children but treats one as a weird gift and the other as a nuisance who doesn't do her bidding and she can't even treat her current or ex partners with any respect because the world is out to get her!

Imagine if, for once, she just posted a nice photo of her lovely family in their lovely home without making a dig at her toddler child or doting fiance.

Even in her recent video she was more focussed on what everything looked like on camera rather than appreciating the moment- yet she's the one that tells us to put our phones down and live in the moment!

It's difficult now to see any of her content and not think it's all just a dig at Matt and her dad at how well she's doing. Making the house and kids picture perfect to pretend they have a great life and childhood just to prove that her dad didn't give her one and Matt couldn't give Darcy the same.

I think it's really sad that Louise seems be playing in to the golden child/black sheep dynamic with her kids. Darcy already knows the roles they're supposed to play. Pearl is a literal infant so her being louder or having more energy than Darcy doesn't mean she is destined to be an "energetic" teenager.
Darcy seems like a sweet intelligent kid. She's wasted on Louise.
Also the editing out the story of Louise at the end. Classic case of can dish it out but can't take it.

PS wrapped Easter eggs are a cheapskate gift but all the money obviously went on the necklace.

I think Matt and Louise have both done the best in their minds for Darcys well-being. She seems like a well rounded, good mannered kid so to me anyway they’ve successfully co-parented her so far.

I don’t doubt Devon loves and cares for Darcy but her approach has always been VERY full on and most times very very rude towards Louise, which isn’t okay. Louise is a lot of things and probably isn’t a naturally maternal person, but that’s fine not everyone is. I dislike her branding now and I think she’s a sell out but she has every right to be crappy about Devon. Glad Darcy is happy with their family arrangements which is the main thing really isn’t it.
she really ended the birthday vlog with her and Darcy shitting on Pearl's personality
They did the same thing last year when they had movie time with Darcy talking about Pearl grabbing her presents

Literally a minute and a half into the video and she's mentioned photos twice (that they took some but the sun was in her eyes so they would re-do them, then that they got lots of lovely photos doing it again). It's a 10th birthday, not the flipping Oscars! Her birthday still will have happened with or without the perfect pics!

Then Darcy telling her Grandad she's blown out the candles "16 times" already, because she had to do it yesterday, this morning...obviously all for photo ops for Louise. She's so SO stuck in this cycle of Instagram-perfect that she can't get out of it (all the while preaching that life isn't Insta perfect and making odd AD videos poking fun at that lifestyle). She's beyond help now.

I really hope Pearl continues to reject this way of life Louise has created for her girls. Poor Darcy has had it pushed on her since literal birth, so she knows she has to act, but I live for the moments she's brutally honest and sarcastic to her Mum! On a more serious note and about kids in general, it really does make you wonder about the minds of kids nowadays, Darcy was so matter of fact about the world ending...not scared of it, just saw that as a very real, possibility. It's sad.

Also, I just don't understand that necklace. I can't think of any occasion a child would need to wear such a valuable necklace. I'm 4 times her age and would be crapping it that I'd lose it! The birthday cake too is not a childs cake yet every year Louise insists on getting an Insta-worthy cake just so it looks good in photos, it's sickening.

I hate how louise is so b*tchy about pearls personality, she's only 3 and for years louise has been so rude about what she'll be like when she's older, projecting that onto her. Also today when Darcy was like "she'll be... energetic" and then louise was like "that's a nice way of putting it," you can tell Louise's mean sense of humour has rubbed off on her and she appeals to it for laughs
Yea... When they were talking about watching this video back in 10 years, all I could think about is what Pearl's reaction will be to seeing them talk about her like that when she was a child.

Also, if thats how they talk about her on camera, would hate to see what they say off camera 😬

I really want to know what that story was that Darcy wanted to tell about them being savage to Louise

I know it was probably a flippant comment that Darcy didn’t realise how it sounded because but when they were talking about chalk and cheese and Darcy then said her and Pearl are like sweet and sour I just felt a bit 😕- sorry for an emoji but i can’t think of the word. I’m a Pearl fan and I’m glad she voiced her concerns about the trampoline and the bleeping stupidness Louise keeps displaying over the safety of.

I feel like the Pearl Louise describes would not care about safety and just bomb headfirst all over the trampoline... Pearl saying she was worried about Grandad was an indication, like PP have said, that she can articulate fairly complex emotions for a three year old and also showing concern for another person’s wellbeing.

So Darcy has frozen sambos at Dads and Louise's shite attempts at cooking at Mums
This is for Devon and Matt surely? Darcy will get a free lunch with her school fees? Matt might even get a free staff meal too? I don’t know many private school staff or kids who don’t eat what they’re paying for?

Found this thread after my friend asked me to follow this lady to have a better chance of winning her giveaway. Never paid her much attention in the past as I thought she was overly exploitive of her eldest and that makes me uncomfortable, but my god it’s been what, a week and is anything this woman posts not an ad? Sorry if this is an unpopular opinion I don’t want to stir the pot but damn.

I really hate to say this as I hate criticising children (and really this isn't even a criticism) but I do hope Louise will take Darcy to a specialist orthodontist. The pictures she put up today show that her adult teeth have grown in so poorly, bless her. I hope she doesn't take the view that having a massive gap in your teeth is a personality trait like she has done for herself.

I've thought about this too. Surely if they're taking Darcy to the dentist regularly anyway they'll get referred to an ortho

Darcy seems like such a lovely little girl, I'm sure her personality has been shaped to be more placid because of the way her mother is. I still think spending so much money on a gold & diamond necklace for a 10 year old is ridiculous, but she obviously loved it and seems to be the kind of kid who enjoys more sentimental gifts. The bit about the world rotting was sad, she's so sensitive and Louise encourages that rather than helping her be more care-free, probably because it means she's easier to parent if she's sat cowering in the corner awaiting the bleeping apocalypse.
Poor Pearl, Louise regularly mentioned watching back this video and when it happens, Pearl is going to see how little they think of her. Darcy had to keep reminding Louise that she had Pearl too, and the sweet and sour comment should have been challenged by Louise. Also why the duck was she holding out a Pancake for Pearl to eat when she's more than capable of using cutlery or even just holding it for herself!?

Louise makes her sandwiches a day ahead and puts them in the fridge.

I’m really curious about what Liam thinks of the way Louise talks about Pearl. Because he wasn’t around when Darcy was that size and I can’t imagine it’s fun for him to listen to Louise comparing his daughter with Darcy and talking about how much better she thinks Darcy is / was.

Like he seems like such a caring dad whenever Louise posts them together, I bet he thinks Pearl is great! But hearing Louise tit on her personality must be hard for him as Pearls dad. If it was me I’d be having words with Louise about it, and telling her how unfair it is to compare them, but also how unfair it is to constantly say Darcy was better as a child. Especially because the main thing that’s changed between their upbringing is the fact that Pearl is Liams child and is being brought up by Liam and Louise not Louise and Matt. In my mind if I was Liam I’d take that to mean that I was the anomaly causing such a ‘tough’ to raise child.

I wouldn't be surprised if Liam isn't allowed to raise issues in Louise's house, even if they're about her child. She seems like she'd gaslight or manipulate him into thinking he's wrong to complain or has nothing to complain about. I've known people in relationships similar to theirs and one partner would rather stay quiet or even join in than speak up about a problem. I can also imagine Louise blaming a lot of things she dislikes about Pearl on Liam. Darcy was the golden child and Pearl is the anomaly and it couldn't possibly be Louise's fault.

I also think Darcy is who Louise thinks she herself is like, but Pearl who's strong willed, shows 'weakness' (aka emotion- anger, jealousy, upset) is who Louise really is. Darcy is the instagram and youtube version of Louise and Pearl is who Louise pretends not to be. But because Louise can't accept that she's not perfect, she'd rather say Pearl is a terror and not like her at all. Especially as she said Pearl was difficult to parent. Instead of saying she wasn't able to support her as her mother, she made an innocent, lovely child seem like a demon child just to prove it's not her fault.
