Make-up isn’t supposed to be invisible though..? No one thinks anyone has ombré brown eyelids and red lips in real life, but it’s an accessory. Similarly, no one has perfectly homogeneously poreless dewy skin with contour, but that doesn’t mean base can’t look nice, even if it’s not imperceptible. If your foundation is cakey / dry / mismatched, then you’re doing it wrong - but doing it right doesn’t equate to invisible to the naked eye.

Lily doesn't work in a corporate environment. I'll be brash and say she'd look better in a nice lulu outfit than she did at that last holiday get together work thing where she wore black (acid wash) jeans that were rolled up and fitting poorly. Lily doesn't go to meetings to market herself to brands as far she she shows on her content- she doesnt want to do that, so she has a management team. She has specifically chosen a modality of work in which she doesn't have to have any face to face contact if she doesn't want to- her team vouches her for projects and bids for her salary for them so that she doesn't have to. Every time she asks for outfit help, it's to have us pick another ugly coat or a wedding guest dress.Isn’t that a little extreme ?
If things were so simple there wouldn’t be different size options at all. Most of us here bash lazy influencers like Lily who often the wrong size/don’t tailor their clothes; and now it’s the other way round
I personally prefer to buy new jeans if I have gained/lost weight, as dressing according to your size plays a large part in confidence and acceptance of one’s new body. And it’s not wasteful. The clothes that don’t fit anymore are stored away and given to charity if not worn after x months.

I will stick by what I'm saying for her- she over shops all the time, and she knows she is trying to lose weight. I've never seen her do a charity drop off. I really enjoyed wearing good, attractive activewear when I was purposely changing my weight. But when my jeans don't fit, I feel like a slob. Why choose something that's going to remind you of your size when you're working on it?
Of course not. Its clear neither one is passionate about being an influencer anymore. The only thing passionate Anne describes anything in any of her content its the colorway and label that matters to her. For Lily, she is petrified of vlogging in public, everytime she goes to a work event she makes it sound as though she's running a marathon and even the clothes she buys she doesn't see excited.
It's clear when someone genuinely likes being an influencer but these two are past jaded and therefore only in it for the money and its the only thing that come first. If anyone has worked with ppl or themselves have worked at jobs they loathed every aspect but did it for the money, Anne and Lily's actions should look very familiar b/c they've quietly quit their jobs since 2019.
Well yes surprise surprise it’s more common to go fresh faced in your teens and 20s. People wear full coverage for all sorts of reasons because of skin concerns / marks etc. I don’t really care if I can see someone is wearing a bit of make-up. I also don’t mind if I can see they are wearing clothes. Lily has a dreadful complexion. Her and Anna both look much better with makeup. Sorry.

I don't think I can appreciate Lily's effort bc it's rarely moan-free and genuine. Anna ditched her = we're bombarded with her having a jolly time with her old pals. Christmas is coming, time to harvest affiliate link clicks = boom, she uploads more frequently.

Anna has admitted Mark is like this. She said something like this on the podcast. I absolutely despise men like this; I don’t think it’s charming or sweet, I think it shows they are misogynistic imbeciles.
I feel like this is one Lily-ism I can get on board with. In our family, the tree goes up no earlier than the 15th, because our wedding anniversary is in the first couple of weeks of December. I think Dec 15-first week of Jan is long enough for Christmas decor!

And to be honest not really a hater (I signed up, because I got fed up with Anna). I feel like Lily is more than flawed, but I actually still appreciate her flawed authenticity and to me it feels like right now she is really trying, despite being unhappy...
On a different note, I just heard of a recent 2022 study on chemical hair straightening treatments and brazilian blowouts and increased risk for uterine cancer. Apparently women who frequently got hair straightening treatment had more than double the risk of getting uterine cancer than controls.
Additionally, the incidence rates of uterine cancer in the US have increased, especially among Black women, who may expose themselves more to such chemical treatment.
I just immediately had to think of Lily and I'm wondering if you guys know, if she ever talked about this (you're probably more up to date in terms of insta story blurbs).
I don't want to be alarming, but I find the topic quite worrysome and I think this is something she should know about.
She never replied to any messages from me though, so I don't know if there's a way to give her a heads-up
