I’ve lurked this thread for a while but her recent behaviour has surprised me so much I have to comment. Leigh has really changed. Back in her early motherhood days she was quite likeable. I don’t remember her being a money hungry social climber like she is now. She seems almost unstable. Her voice on her stories is totally bizarre, and she constantly preens herself and seems uncomfortable on camera. I think she’s one of the most obviously unhappy “influencers” that I’m aware of.

The thing that annoys me about it, is that her podcast with Tegan is always high up on the podcast charts, it’s obviously listened to by TONNES of Australian mums. I never listened to more podcasts than when I was on maternity leave. And I find it sad that a lot of young mums are probably sitting at home with their screaming babies, stressed out of their minds, and the first podcasts they would be stumbling across on motherhood, would be TGM. Hearing Leigh bleat on about absolute nonsense. She is such a poor example of a working mum.

Im really sick of the “working mum” space being so heavily dominated by older, white, wealthy (relatively speaking) Instagram influencers. Their experience of motherhood feels so utterly irrelevant and in relatable to most mums I know. And yet they take up all the space.
All of this 👏 Leigh and Tegan are completely unrelateable. White, privelleged Sydneysiders. Although lots of people listen, there are loads of scathing reviews for TGM (Leighs) on Apple

Did she score herself a night at the shangri la after that pathetic hair elastic story? Surely it would have happened and been shared by now if so?

I would say that not all white, privileged Sydneysiders are like Leigh and co. I feel like this describes me and my friends and we would never self promote, grift or be such show offs that this group of women have turned out to be. We all have money, some have careers, some are stay at home Mums but all of us know what is real and what is fake.

I think she paid for the kettle. You can tell she’s not getting a kick back because she links EVERYTHING and this one she hasn’t 🥴

Wow that’s a first if she actually paid.

That food she showed off she definitely did not pay for her, it’s gifted but she’s never declared it.

Again, pick a lane! A bin, a kettle, clothing, luggage, food, activewear, swimwear…. I thought she was a beauty expert/influencer…

Wow, so many poor reviews.

I noticed a lot of negative reviews re an episode on toddler bullying from back in 2020. I went and listened to LC’s part. I can’t believe how arrogant this was.

I have transcribed the relevant part below. This was from TGM 6 July 2020. A mother had written in about her almost 2 year old bullying other kids.

Leigh “I really wanna make sure I raise him right, to not be a snatcher or a bully or a pusher.
And I’ve got friends who are great friends who are great friends but I think their toddlers are jerks, and I don’t want my kid to be a jerk.”

Tegan “do you think that their toddlers are jerks because of how they parent?”

Leigh “well, yes. I dunno. Look I think some kids are just born bad. I’ve got a friend with a kid that I really don’t like, I think it’s a bad person. And I won’t mention who […] But I want to make sure that I raise Alexander so that when he goes and plays with his peer group, that he’s not the kid biting. He’s about to start daycare and that many stories I’ve heard of horror kids coming home with bite marks on their cheeks. I don’t want him to get bitten or be the biter. And I can admit this, I have the type of personality that thinks my kids the goddamn best. I don’t wanna have my rose coloured glasses on and he ends up being the pusher, and I think no my Alexander would never do that.”

Tegan “but don’t you think that no parent wants their kid to be the biter?”

Leigh “totally, but I wanna make sure I’m looking for the signs, looking for the behaviour, learning how to nip it in the bud.”

Tegan then immediately goes on to say that given she has 3 toddlers, she deals with all of this daily, it’s just toddlerhood. She says it’s learning, developmental, it’s just the stage.

At the time of this recording, Leigh’s kid was 1.

She is arrogant and awful. She has no idea about children who are atypical. Children who can't communicate, children who can't express their feelings, who may be on the spectrum, children who come from a trauma background and are doing what they can to survive. Children who have never been shown love. And here is LeighLeigh referring to them as jerks and being born bad. duck offfffff Leigh, you literally upload selfies and affiliate links next to your son's hospital bed.

This!!!!!! This is the episode I referenced in an earlier comment. It is outrageous what she said about little kids. And that he child would never do anything wrong. From that moment on I could not stand her.

Like this one… yikes!
What a terrible review! I loved This Glorious Mess early on. Loved the combination of Holly and Andrew and having a big gap between my two kids I appreciated hearing two different perspectives about parenting and loved the contrast between them. I stopped listening once they left.

God she’s so predictable. Of course a new kettle (not a smeg) has arrived as well as free food. Doesn’t seem to be declared either.

Will definitely report her. She is so disgusting. She can afford a kettle. Greedy, selfish b^tch. She could have easily donated and bought one but of course, her money is only to spend on hideous tacky designer bags and shoes.
I thought the same about the kettle but I think she may have actually paid for it ( shock horror ) as she mentioned a follower had sent her a link to Catch and it was only $40. I bet she was hoping for $200 Smeg one for free!

OMG! I really hope vulnerable mums who might be struggling with very normal toddler behaviour don’t listen to this podcast. I’ve only heard a couple of episodes but can’t stand the privileged whining of Leigh and don’t think either of them have particularly good parenting styles or are that interested in their kids (especially Leigh who seems to spend most of her time away from her child or she’s mainly on her phone ignoring him when she’s with him).

Also Leigh’s comment on Amy’s ad made me cringe - it’s filmed at what i assume is her ‘Bez’s’ house which looks beautiful. Leigh, you live in a dingy apartment not a house no matter how much ‘content’ you film at Tegan’s 🥴 I don’t think Amy’s going to be round yours for a shoot anytime soon..

A hospital bathroom selfie when your 3 year old is recovering from an operation. Fine if you just want to send to your hubby to pass the time, but probably not needed on social media. Idiot.

Oh and- I’m hosting an event in a few weeks but can’t find a dress I like HINT HINT EXPENSIVE DRESS DESIGNERS. Guarantee we will see a dress on the night of this event tagged as #gift #gifted and then an affiliate link for the dress.
She’s so predictable.
Yes and then she’ll actually just wear a hideous ill-fitting suit set instead

Imagine a parent of a child with a chronic illness reading this… must be so hard for her to give NINE syringes of medicine for a few days. Must get in the way of sharing affiliate links
I am fairly certain her husband WFH a lot so I doubt she is even home alone with him. She wouldn’t cope.

Disgusting human being. Just be grateful you have a healthy child, spend time with him and get off your phone with your stupid “cute face” and pout.

And who boasts about this ?? And when she says syringe I wonder if some people think poor Leigh has to administer Alex with a needle when it’s just a syringe of liquid in the mouth. Woe is me, it’s tough being Leigh who hasn’t left the house in 48 hours.
