Eh??? Yes it is true only the bishop can authorize, but ....why shut it down now? Lol. Is it bc of the youtube or PR profit? HmmmView attachment 561084View attachment 561086
I think the answer may lie with Kylie’s own words and explanation when she says “couples...are more drawn to the property for the views and the serenity of the location, so now, if they can’t use the church, they’re likely to decide to just be married by a celebrant in the garden without any presence of the church at all.”

First, it shows a lack of sincerity on her part, which, I’m sure, is the first test used by the priest to decide if he can consecrate the marriage.

Secondly, her defiance is evident in that they can just go ahead without the church, it’s just the view they are after anyway.

I’m not surprised, at all, that the priest and bishop would question and refuse her. Her attitude stinks for someone appealing to the church for its blessing.

She makes it sound as if the church is, and should only be, concerned about money when, the truth is, that’s all she seems concerned with.

I think the chain on the sunglasses is particularly ageing and matronly. But I've always thought her videos are heavily filtered.

Lol ... sex on the sink!!! Sounds like a cocktail. Your words on K's was it Insta account(?) resonated strongly with me. I was initially charmed by her work and made, I think, fairly generous monthly donations. That said, I find the combination of the pandemic and settling down with Guido has definitely taken the edge off her creativity. With regards to Patreon donations ... yes, it dawned on me that I was sponsoring someone else's dream when I have dreams of my own, and that if I wanted to donate maybe there were people out there to whom my contribution may make a difference. For example, I saw an interview with a homeless woman in the US who had lost her home through a natural disaster. She'd lived in a. park for a couple of years and couldn't get work because she didn't have an address. Yet, she was surprisingly resilient and cheerful ... no histrionics. There was a nobility in her stoic attitude and I would rather help someone in that situation get back on their feet as opposed to someone who appears to be in a fairly privileged position anyway.
To carry on from this ... Kylie's dramas are, at the end of the day, first world problems!

@Denise0211 don’t you think this was thé turning point in Kylie and Guido’s relationship? It was after she spent her Patreons money rénovating his house, getting sponsored items on thé side and was prepared to spend what seemed like forever doing those interminable stencils on his bathroom and kitchen - that Guido thought (calculated as thé good accountant he is) this woman is prepared to do anything for me and my properties she may be worth marrying??!!😬🤔
@Alessandro, Good Morning! I am on a slightly different time zone to you guys so can't always respond immediately. With regard to your comment, I'm not sure if G thought it may be financially expedient to marry Kylie to help market his properties, but I did think that the change from previously being quite camera shy into a main protagonist in some of K's recent productions indicated that it may have dawned on Guido that they could raise revenue from Patreons to transform and develop these properties on his land

Are we technically 'trolling'? 😖
Well @PlinyinTorquay Kylie is putting her ’work’ into the world publicly and not only asking for money but for constant comments/feedback/gifts/letters and eventually rents. You can’t expect to have unadulterated adulation and zero discussion of whether what you are saying/selling has any value. Only a narcissist would want that. And she shuts down any legitimate discussion on YT or IG.

We are not paid advertisers that have to toe the line and say everything she does is marvellous (her followers seem to forget this).

However, in this digital age we are more like good newspaper reporters that investigate and bring a critical eye to whether there is any truth or real interest in Kylie’s vlogs/slogs/stories. Is there any fact among the fiction?

Should we believe anything this woman is selling? Whether it is the Tuscan dream (that has many pitfalls IRL) or whether the chicken coop will ultimately be comfortable and commodious (not likely on current plans) !!🤦🏼‍♂️😬

Hi and buona sera

I am new here...as many i have found KF last year during the first lock down...Being as well an Expat in Italy, in the very beginning I liked the videos in Youtube. Now it became a too much of all...and my question marks started to grow ..recognizing all the inconsistenties

To me all became clearer when I understood, that Gs family already is in the tourisic rental business: There is heavy competetion...if you drive around in Tuscany, there are so many beautiful historic properties, farms, manors...and almost all of them offer b&b etc ...This is almost the only income opportunity to fund the extremely high cost of the maintenance! So all are looking for chances to be special... and for publicity

So i believe what we see in Youtube is a carefully constructed commercial...The rennovations..flavoured by a romantic story. Finally there will be the rental offers, highly priced...Since all was so much work, so carefully selected, so specially treated....

Hi guys,
Real life took over from Tattling. I have finally caught up here and watched Fridays video.

One thing has entered my head and I need the help of the Italian posters.
Guido's family did come from noble stock, he appears to be the heir to all the extensive property and land. He appears to still socialise in esteemed circles.
Now my theory:
Does Italy have celeb magazines like Hello, where Z list celebs and minor Royals and aristocracy sell the rights to their weddings?
Could Kylie and Guido have done this and the wedding has to go ahead?
I don't know if such a thing happens in Italy.

Regards the document, does it have to be picked up by Kylie specifically or can it be picked up by a family member and posted or couriered over.
I know its the UK and marriage in the UK so apples and oranges but my husband picked up my brothers divorce record from the Matrimonial court about 12 years ago.
If Kylie doesn't need to be there, it could be couriered overnight, expensive but it could be done.
It’s all very odd.
Hi @Appleblossom, yes there are magazines like ‘Chi’ in Italy that cover ‘slebs. But Kylie is a nobody in Italy, just one of thousands of ex-pats trying to sell the Italian dream. There are also just as many Guidos with unrestored farms in the country, undistinguished if old family names and mundane careers to keep some money rolling in. He’s an accountant and she makes vlogs about herself and pays for video views, comments etc No ‘sleb magazine is ever going to know or care about them let alone pay to have pics of their wedding...😅

All you have to do is watch the video in the car with her and Guido to see what kind of listener she is. I remember distinctly how she practically gasped for breath and repeatedly blinked her eyes in anticipation and exasperation, as Guido completed his thoughts. You could tell that she wasn’t listening AT ALL, but only waiting for an opening to spill what was on her mind. Like a child, desperately convinced that she has the answer and, if not, still wanting the spotlight for herself, instead.
She has such little self-awareness, she viewed that about herself and edited it in and put in on YouTube!

I was dismayed by her behavior, and felt bad for Guido, because I imagined what things must be like off-camera. He does seem reserved. Maybe they're a good match if this is okay with him. I can have figurative "sharp elbows" and can get sarcastic. Way back in college I once dated a guy who got so upset at anything sarcastic. Well it isn't literal! It was supposed to be funny. I also get that sarcasm must be handled carefully. But he had so many feelings. We weren't a good match. If you don't have so many emotional needs and don't need to be handled with such care, someone like Kylie can be okay. But if she starts getting abusive, that should be a relationship killer for anyone.

She claims she receives dozens of letters asking for her advice on life situations like she is some sort of clever saint or advisor...
I wonder what makes people turn to her? Why do they think she has solutions or advice? I wonder if the travel videos where she's dancing with brides in Morocco (I think it was Morocco) and looking so extremely happy made some viewers wonder, how does she do that? What does it take to be like that? If you don't feel like that, and you're turning to YouTube to live it vicariously through someone else, maybe you take the step of writing to that person.

What I see now in those videos is the elation and glee of a narcissist sipping up all the supply. These people are accepting her, dancing with her, inviting her, liking her, laughing with her, saying she's their best friend within 10 minutes, and it's all wonderful for Kylie because this is what she needs. She has the ability to film video and weave a story to make it look like she cares about these people. So much of the video lingers on HER though. Why is it not possible to film a video entirely about a wedding which is SOMEONE ELSE'S big day, and show nothing of yourself in the video. Because, it's the bride's day, not your precious experience. The sad thing is, if this is what's really going on, how can she help the people who feel depressed? What they think they see is not really what's going on, and their radar is a bit off.

her thinking leans heavily on cliches created for tourist advertisements
Yes! Exactly. Though I admit I do like the gorgeous visuals in her videos, I fast-forwarded through all the romantic notions and the old movie cliches. It doesn't connect with me. I'm firmly rooted in reality and okay with that. I suppose, that is how I maintain control. I don't want my head too high in the clouds. I'm also a grown-up woman.

Now I would not say I don't have dreams. I do and at times I've dreamed big, and I've had the wonderful luck and ability to do some things in life because I dreamed them and made them happen. But that's also an element of REALITY. Knowing how to reel in an idea and make it real. The romantic cliche stuff that's all word puffery making a 15-minute video in to a 30-minute video is a waste of air and time.

Someone should explain to Kylie that when the priest says, “no one should earn money from a wedding”, he’s referring to her.

Donations will always be given to the church, as has been custom, according to her, “for almost 100 years”. Does this give her pause, in any way, to realize what he’s telling her ?

It seems not; someone is challenging her entitlement.

She says Guido has already dealt with many couples for weddings in the past. I’m sure he and his family will be super pleased that Kylie has managed to sabotage and terminate a 100 year old tradition for the family with the church.

The priest must have been really riled to have made this decision. Maybe he saw her videos.

It makes perfect sense.
Agree @Jerry the only difference from the past near century of weddings being allowed in Guido’s family chapel is that Kylie has somehow stuffed it up😅

Maybe the problem is the bishop/priest HAS seen her videos rather than that he hasn’t (the adulatory acolytes believe one look at her vlogs will make them see the light). 😬🤣

And it seems that Kylie has not only wrecked it for her own wedding but all subsequent ones in Guido’s chapel. This will ultimately mean less people renting the properties and less money - not everyone will want a celebrant under a cypress tree, as Kylie suggests.

Unless of course K’s ragu turns the whole situation around with the priest🤔

@PlinyinTorquay - in hindsight I would take it as a compliment that you were sidelined in K's fake world - she no doubt saw you as the voice of reason to be avoided even though you were positive in your comments.
The deluge of words about committing to marriage ( I swear she was reading from notes she'd patched together from her mindfulness podcasts) only served to justify why she NEEDED to marry - swerving off the very obvious reason that she becomes co-owner of Guido's properties and lifestyle and security if they ever split up and very little to do with true love. I really believe she has dedicated herself night and day to achieve status and money - no holds barred - begging to camera, rolling around in bed, totally in contrast with the snobby image she wants to project.
Re 'yoked' I thought yoked like buffalo ploughing together, a positive image🙄?
And as for Tuscan men..they have a lot of old sayings about various regions or towns, like Vicenza= mangiagatti or Leccesi= falsi e cortesi etc

Omg, IG as well to monitor tho' I doubt if I will. What annoys me is that in spite of using fake laughter as punctuation throughout she has absolutely no sense of humour or irony. Just relentless self promotion and even using 3rd person narrative as a boost - "my mother says people will think you only cook on film but I know you love it...." or Guido "we both love the same things, good food etc etc"
And of course the real and fabricated comments just feed into her narcissism. Remember how seriously spooked she was when she discovered Tattle and answered all her followers 'hi Linda', hi Heather' etc to keep them close.😳
Yes and how Guido has sprung to life with this cool PR for his property, reeling off facts and figures - seems like one of those 'move to the sun' tv programmes rather than a romance. So different from the makeover to the kitchen when he told her she would have to finance it herself & kept himself off camera.

I've been watching Kylie for years, and I'm starting to suspect her claims about broken equipment are in fact fake. She is constantly saying something has broken and she needs more money or that's why xyz isn't possible...I feel like it's unrealistic for all her highend expensive equipment to CONSTANTLY be breaking every few months...

Also, I've noticed an insane amount of ads on her videos. More than other youtubers I watch. Is that really generated from youtube for the music she uses, or is that another lie?

Oh AND - she said Q&A pt. 2 was all ready to go but she wanted to post the renovating a ruin video first. But this week she's apologizing for a short video....so clearly, another lie, because why wouldn't she have uploaded the 'ready to go' Q&A pt. 2....

They could have been friends, or perhaps just as silly and superficial as the people that left such comments. The people who write their life stories boggle my mind. Last night I went down the rabbit hole....lol

Yes, yoked is two animals locked together to do hard labour; NOT my idea of a good marriage !

I think you’ve run into some Born Again Evangecals here; I would stay clear ! You’ll get as much empathy and reason as you would from a Trump supporter. In fact, they are often one and the same.

KyLIE shares this in common in that she too promotes the BIG LIE. There’s money in it !

Lol! Really? The queen of being just vague enough... But it's funny to see how we live rent free in Kylie's mind. 😅View attachment 569121
"security reasons"   First of all, no one is asking for her exact birthdate, and secondly, she has published SO much of her life online, including making it pretty easy for people to work out where she lives, not giving out a birthdate seems irrelevant at this point

Mmmmmm the sister never sticks around to spend a lot of time with Kylie
That was the thing that was weird to me about the crepes video. She was making crepes for her family. But she was talking about lovers and being in bed and seduction. Kind of discombobulating. Why not cook with your family around?

She was perched on a chair by herself outside, mixing batter. Why not chat on camera with your family around?

Maybe they don't want to be on camera. Even then, her conversation with herself on camera could have been more ... uh, family friendly!!

Hi! New here on this thread, I've been commenting on Chateau Diaries threads just for the reasons you've pointed out, she's a vulgar woman milking gullible people to pimp up her very underwhelming house. She's also achieved to collect a menagerie of lost, sad, naive volunteers with delusions of success but no real prospects just to feed her fragile ego. Her volunteers don't contribute anything skill wise, unless their ability to make her look superior compared to them is counted as one.

But now to the reason why I'm here. I've met Kylie. She came across as very enthusiastic and driven woman, which aren't bad qualities at all, without you never get anywhere. Nevertheless, as she continued with her sales pitch, it became more and more obvious how shallow and mediocre her thinking was. Don't get me wrong, she clearly has a thought out concept for her brand/vlogs, living from a perfect Kodak moment to another, but her thinking leans heavily on cliches created for tourist advertisements (which even tourists aren't buying anymore.) We watched a few episodes of hers, but because she's all surface without substance, we forgot her. She wants to convey a sense of deeper thinking, but she operates on shallow waters, on slogans printed on sofa cushions. That's as far she's comfortable to go, maybe she's afraid to lose control, too scared to dive in the deep end and be confused, terrified and give in to the chance she might come back empty handed. Or Kylie is a basic bitch without any deeper undercurrents.

She said she's studied Italian neo-realist cinema, seems she hasn't learnt a thing, just the aesthetics. There's immense beauty in the broken, unfinished, in struggle, frustration, but her narcissistic tendencies don't allow her to show that. Monica Vitti isn't beautiful, because she lies perfectly combed on a luxury yacht, but because she's unraveling, without direction, a way out. And we recognise that with compassion and tenderness. She's said, she's been completely penniless (her biggest fear?) and isn't afraid anymore. Well, walk the talk woman, show what you got.

A month ago Kylie popped into our feed. She's still puzzling with surface, creating stage sets with her pots and pergolas. I think her audience has changed? At least they seem happy with the content? Guido will become a huge source of discontent, I feel like she's already trying to shake some emotion out of this poor accountant. The way she's leaning on and hugging him, trying to make him pick her up on his arms, look passionately (to the camera.) Guido isn't made for spontaneous grand gestures...
Hi @lolander, good to have you here joining this very articulate group of posters!

Wondering where and under what circumstances you met Kylie?

Agree with your thoughts about Kylie wanting to come across as a deep thinker yet she is essentially very shallow. And how can she be anything else when her entire focus and raison d’etre is herself?

Every single vlog is ultimately about her just showing off “her” new villa, gardens, chicken coops, pigsties. fiancé, veggie patch (if she never shows another artichoke being picked, peeled and chopped it will be a great thing), her “skills” as cook, homemaker, seamstress, gardener, amateur psychologist (advising the poor sods writing to her for advice) restoration expert, videographer etc etc (we’ll leave out her fake claims of being artist, poet, journalist, editor and so on🙄)!!

Maybe another conversation in the car with Guido, where she blinks incessantly, breathless, not listening at all, but anxiously waiting for the first opportunity to jump in and expound her pearls of wisdom, that can’t wait for him to finish his thought.

I remember Guido saying on a video that the family love her. Or maybe her said his mother loves her, I can't remember.

I can't imagine that they'd watch her videos avidly. They might ooh and ahh at some drone footage of their properties, they probably think she was a model or TV host or something.

I don't understand why she's staying up all night researching taps and such things for the chicken coop and pigsty. The family has long renovated various properties so surely have a list of preferred suppliers. I think Kylie's research actually revolves around finding companies who will supply the various bits as freebies, which she will go on to use in the project but not declare as sponsored in the vlogs.
Kylie is very calculating, and also as a narcissist, she will make herself seem appealing to Guido’s family by moulding herself into whatever form will seem most attractive/acceptable to them. The wheels will come off further down the track and her true self will be revealed only when she feels she is (legally) secure and will have access to the property and money.

We have all seen through her here among the Tatlers, some with real life experience of her too like me, and I think Guido’s family are in for an unpleasant surprise once Kylie’s cold and rapacious nature shows itself....
