Where did you hear that? As far as I am aware JoJo always maintained that they were ‘just friends’, even as recent as his livestream with her in Disneyland.

Although I did see an Instagram story on Jojos page that was them kissing in a way that was obviously more than just friends. Maybe friends with benefits?

Honestly though he did give the impression he was using his relationship with Mel for clickbait and views. At least Kyle is insistent on keeping his personal relationships off camera and private and I respect that.

Kyle’s last two videos have been a joy! He was so excited over his media announcement; and stalking his family at Pop actually made me chuckle. I know people get on him for his difficulty with words and grammar, but he mentioned not long ago that he has always struggled in that way. His videos are truly fun to watch when he isn’t pandering for free stuff!

Same really enjoyed his vlog yesterday, he and his family were great. Loved his use of music during the family stalking, added an extra element of humour.

He did mention that he went to a special school to help him with his speech in the past and so I think perhaps people should keep that in mind when they belittle the way he pronounces certain words or struggles with others, just saying.

Blocked?? Ouch. They seemed so into each other as well. What a scumbag if he did cheat on her. I honestly don’t think all is as it seems with that guy. I don’t get genuine with him like I do with Kyle.

Said it before but all his views are coming from his shorts, they are very successful another 2.5 million views yesterday, and gained 6-7k subs in the last couple days. Problem is, all those viewers subbed because of the shorts and are unlikely to watch his other content, hence the bad views on his daily vlogs. Even super enthused has more views on her video at the moment and they posted around the same time and she has under 100k subs.

I’m impressed by how many views Kyles genie videos have gotten though, one with 96k and climbing, another with 60+. He did a good job on those.

Yeah jojos shorts do well but I'm not sure how helpful that is in the long term from a financial point of view for him, surely he needs them to convert to viewers to make decent money

I think it's a bit of a mix, Jojo seems like he's too friendly and most of the time doesn't like to say no directly because he doesn't want to dissapoint. He may have meant that by the "we're good friends" types of comments, but didn't really consider how serious her feelings were.

She seems really pissed off though, I didn't really care for her in his vlogs but love this type of passive-aggressive subtweet drama!

Learning experience, Jojo: grow balls and have the tough discussion instead of side-stepping, because it hurts more if you lead her on.

I watched WDWCouples vlog and I have no idea what I watched. It was like they weren't at the event.

Yeah his excitement and enthusiasm at being there was so lovely to see. The event itself didn’t seem like a lot, just checking out some decorations. But I think it’s the recognition from Disney that meant more to him, and the doors it will potentially open to him being invited to future events.

It was nice to see him bringing his sister along as well. Even though she isn’t as excitable, they shared some genuinely funny moments together. Looking forward to seeing more of her (and of course Dad) in the next weeks vlogs. The whole family is so darn fun.

Kyle really seemed very grateful for the media opportunity! He took it seriously (but not too much so), and I thought he did a great job representing the event. I also appreciate when vloggers/influencers are super upfront with disclosures about being hosted. Idk. It seems like Kyle may be finding his groove a bit…he doesn’t seem to be trying way too hard to be something he isn’t.

Regarding Mel and JoJo:

1. She had her sights on him when they first met online through social media. She said that she had studied JoJo’s videos, then she told him things like that her favorite Mickey is Sorcerer Mickey and that she loves Stitch, both of which gained favor with JoJo and both of which she would have learned from his videos were his favorites.
2. I think her intention was at least in part to increase her own online presence and career. She inserted herself in the second day of Paula Abdul visiting the parks with JoJo and when an Instagram account reposted the video of her and JoJo kissing in Galaxy’s Edge, she left a message asking that she be tagged too.
3. She posted indirect messages on Instagram about how he completed her and she loved him, and those could be true or not. She always seemed from her other postings that she was doing quite well when he wasn’t around.
4. JoJo has always been pining for a girlfriend. I think JoJo had affection for Mel and it was probably amplified by her being, I assume, the first girl to agree to go out with him more than once since he moved to Florida. Girls quickly move him to the friend zone due to his eccentric behavior and thoughtlessness.
5. It was odd how much JoJo kept stressing that he and Mel were not dating and that they were just friends. Mel went along with the semantics game. You could tell in his live video at Disneyland that he was really irritated by the notion of people thinking they were anything more. He had previously made a TikTok video just about not liking when people shipped him with anyone. It was like how he keeps reminding people that he is not gay. I’ve lost count of how many times the last two years he has felt the need to point out that he isn’t.
6. You could also tell in the Disneyland videos that he was getting frustrated with her. She says what she feels, but JoJo is a person who bites his tongue and avoids confrontation. We’ve seen that over and over when Kyle teases him.
7. Every so often JoJo tells the story of his “ex” from when he was a student at Scranton. His story is that she hurt him badly when she told JoJo at Christmastime that she missed her ex. I think while JoJo wants a girlfriend, he also is very fearful of a girlfriend leaving or hurting him and so he perhaps unconsciously ends up pushing people away as a preemptive move. That could be why he doesn’t want an official girlfriend and why he may have done something to cause Mel to break away.
8. It’s funny how at the same time Mel was posting her princess IG stories, JoJo was posting two TikTok videos of himself in Aladdin garb showing himself to be quite the opposite of heartbroken, almost as a taunt.
9. It’s going to be hard for JoJo to have a relationship since he’s so self-centered. He creates the impression that’s he’s not, but if you look closely over a period of time, everything is about him, his career and his content. He’s used other vloggers, including Kyle from the outset, as stepping stones to advance himself. Even the things he does for people in his vlogs are just done for content.
10. JoJo once said that in HS or college there was a time that he deliberately pushed away good, old friends because he thought they were holding him back socially, and he tried instead to get close to the cool kids. He says he realizes he was wrong to do that, but he’s still that person. It influences his friendship decisions.
