Yeah I wonder if the new shorts have messed up the estimates. I don't see how they can earn much with no ads in them. If his views aren't going up on his vlogs then I'm not sure his earnings will be all that good. Aside ads how else can you earn money from YouTube, unless they are sponsored posts/ads

The comments for the shorts are hilarious too, lots of people calling out the cringiness! :ROFLMAO:

Maybe shorts are more of thing for mobile viewers? I mostly watch on desktop, so I prefer longer types of vlogs. New generations that grow up with Tik Tok, maybe they see it differently.

Alexa is a great addition to Kyle's vlogs. She puts good thought and perspective into her critique, and that's perfect for this time when lot's of viewers are planning their upcoming holiday and new year trips with the Genie's impact. Helpful content over sugar-loaded positivity.

I really like Alexa too. Her reviews of foods are always interesting, she comes to Disney for the snacks after all, and she always adds her own little touches of humour.

For example, when Kyle was asking her if she was excited to see him in the first of the family vlogs, she responded with a very unenthusiastic ‘thrilled’ then when Kyle followed up with ‘heck yeah’, she was all ‘heck… no‘ 😆. It’s also funny when Kyle lets her take over the vlog occasionally and seeing her struggle for things to say, but I think with a bit of practice she could be a good vlogger. Different to Kyle for sure but interesting.

Dad though, he’s hilarious. He sure loves those glasses that got gifted to Kyle with his ‘come on down’ catchphrase. Him on Slinky Dog today gave me a giggle. Always rushing to the popcorn first thing, and the squeaker on his t-shirt in livestreams. So much personality in one family. I can see where Kyle gets it from. I mean growing up with a clown in the family. And mom is cool too, I felt bad when he said she gets no love in the comments.

Oh and loved Kyles reaction to beating his highest score at toy story mania.

Alexa doing the Genie plus was good and her opinion with navigating it with large family plus cost. I laughed at Kyle saying she didn't watch his vlogs. I'm really enjoying his family. They're fun.

JoJo is crying a lot in his new video. Maybe he needs to go see his sister and mom. Perhaps his personal life drama is getting to him.

Yeah he has seemed kind of depressed in the last couple vlogs. Think it might be the Mel situation. If he did something to hurt her and cause her to block him then he must be feeling pretty rotten. He needs to get support from family like you just said.

So Jojo had another 4.3 million views yesterday and has gone up to 114k subs (probably 200k in a couple months at this rate). According to social blade his estimated yearly income is a massive $534,000 based on number of views, although I’m not sure if shorts get monetised the same way as regular videos so probably not entirely accurate? His newest video yesterday got 5.6k views though, so barely anyone is watching his Vlogs by comparison.
I'm a bit skeptical on that income estimate given that most of the views are for under 30 second videos that I assume have no commercials in them.

He doesn't quite seem depressed to me exactly. Just legitimately touched and a little overwhelmed. I just hope the pressure of his decision to put out daily videos doesn't get to be too much.

For whatever his messy romantic life is (and that's a lot of young men, we were just lucky not to have it documented on social media), he seems like a pretty decent guy. And I'd hate for him to burn out and become Tim Tracker or Michael Kay.

I'd be interested to know who makes more between them. JoJo with his shorts/TikTok millions of view or Kyle with his YouTube higher vlog views.

JoJo says he is going to start posting videos daily, but he’s too lazy to make more long videos than he does already. If he does follow through this time and actually post videos daily, it’s going to be the same frequency of long videos, with just reused TikTok videos on the other days. In other words, no noticeable difference.

Kyle definitely makes more from Patreon.
Can't imagine what possible value people get out of being a part of his patreon. The vlogs themselves are either inaccurate or completely unhelpful. Is it just to get more shirtless pics of the Disney Influencer "hot boy"?

Yeah, I feel like he was initially planning to do daily longer vlogs but recently realized he doesn't have the energy to film and edit all of it, so he wimped out to a lesser committment... Kind of like another situation he's dealing with....

I think "have it documented" gives him too much of a pass. With all the clickbait he leveraged from their relationship, that was shameless promotion in my eyes.

I mean, in the attached screenshot it's in all caps. He has nobody to blame but himself for putting it out there so prominently. Even more cringey in retrospect, yikes.

There's been a few rare vlogs where Jojo had some relatable perspective for me, but 95% of everything else I've seen I think he likes the attention more than being a "creator". Even with TikTok, I feel like he'd have no problem leaving that if he found something else that got him the same amount of/more attention.

Being the weird geek that somehow gets a good looking girl, JoJo, as would be expected, went out of his way to show off to the public that he finally had a girl that was willing to be more than just a friend, even while he adamantly insisted they were indeed just friends. No matter what she saw in him, being the strong, independent, career-oriented woman that she is, there was never any way that she was going to put up with him for long.

Sorry but I don't think anyone should be buying anything jojo puts out on his vlogs as real. More than possibly any other vlogger he acts up to the camera constantly. If he is sad or whatever I'd say its an act to add narrative, increase engagement etc.

I can't see how he is earning anything from his youtube shorts. Main sources of income on YouTube are ads or sponsorship, neither of which he gets from a YouTube shorts. The main benefit is pushing his subscribers up, but they then don't seem to engage with his channel

Is Kyle annoying, begs frequently and acts like a child? Yes - but I'd take that 10 times out of 10 over the fake sheep tendencies of POS Dev and the neurotic sugar rush of the Trackers, Nate and Michael Kay any day. But especially Dev - if things keep going how they're going, Kyle and JoJo will pass his sub totals in just a few months. Can you imagine the meltdown!? I live for it!
Maybe it's the humidity, but there's just something about the WDW "personality" vloggers. I'd be fine if Kyle and Jojo usurped them all, really. Or maybe the Disneyland vloggers should band together and make a hostile takeover of WDW. Meanwhile, I'll just keep munching on my refillable popcorn and enjoy the show.

I don't know what their relationship was or wasn't when the camera wasn't recording. For some vloggers, like the Trackers or WDW Couple, they have a hard time disguising that Tim is whipped or that Josh and Taylor can't stand each other. Maybe it was because I didn't know as much about JoJo at the time, but I honestly didn't think he had bad intentions toward her. Leveraging for clicks being a bad thing is a manner of perspectives, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

A big part of my job is to read people--body language, facial microexpressions, voice inflections. I am not claiming a superpower nor infallibility, but I am pretty good at what I do. It is a bit harder when you're looking at a screen, but I really don't get that sense from JoJo. Whatever is going on in his head is in his eyes, and that's hard to fake. So, like I said, benefit of the doubt.

I don't think he's faking his emotions or issues he may have now.

I do think and has thought since I saw some of his thumbnails/vlog titles with Mel he was using the relationship as bait. Ie.. The best date spot at AK or I surprised her with Disney vacation.

Now he has to deal with that out there as vlogs forever or delete. Hopefully he learned from this.

Really enjoyed the giant family STK dinner vlog, so many restaurant reviews get kind of repetitive but love all the energy when a fun larger group's involved.

Great way to see a lot of apps and dishes too, restaurants should make this type of dining review format a bigger thing! Depends on how fun your family is. And behaved, my family is a hot mess so if we did it it would probably get demonetized. :ROFLMAO:

Yeah, it was a lot of fun.

Hell, they seemed like people I'd have wanted to hang out with. Actually wanting to spend time with people in a vlog is a new experience for me.

Loved the family dining at STK, seemed like a lovely atmosphere, and the food looked amazing. I don’t know if I’d order their $100 steak but it’s definately a place I’d go to eat at for sure.

Gonna be sad to see his family go back to Wisconsin. They’ve been amazing in the vlogs and a lot of fun to see them enjoying their visit.

Kyle has been talking a bit previously about creating a twitch channel for gaming. How would you guys feel about that, would it be a good move for him? I think his personality could draw in viewers, it’d be interesting to see another side to him as well outside Disney.
