I'd say, if you can get 1,000 words a day down you're probably on to a winner. I have 78 since I got up

I have 600 words in note form that have been there for a few weeks, then another few hundred words of notes for the next chapter on another page. Can’t form any of them into a sentence ‍

I have 2500 words on a JG thing, and 700 on an JS thing so far this weekend... I'm just playing around for now

Happy to go at whatever pace is comfortable for the group.

Was going to suggest a way of doing two chapters a week but I think we've got to live in hope of an update and those of us who have read to the current position will want to skip ahead to read that out of order I think! Without disrupting the re-read cycle.

Maybe put book club chat under spoilers so the thread doesn't get completely taken over by it and we can still have our other conversations and those who don't like fics don't feel excluded.

And we can start with the prequel which is a standalone fic in its own right so should be a nice intro for those who are reading for the first time.

One chapter a week should work, and starting with the prequel should be a good intro, because I've read snippets about it here, but I still have no clue what I'm getting into.

Fairly sure it's unfinished, the author mentioned in the comments a plan to cover the whole season so I think we have a few more chapters to come.

I’ve bollocksed it up though because the one other footballer already featured is fictional, but I haven’t got the energy to start making everyone else fictional, so there may be some real and some fictional.

You're right about that, Holiday Abe isn't necessarily for everyone.

Used to dream of being an author but then I realised I have a little style but literally no imagination. Basically am a born critic.

So I just read and shower the fics with my love.

Think a fair few in here write though.
