Minor point, but as a real booklover who has previously bought copies of books I already own because I like the new covers (the SHAME), it’s really irked me that she’s folding over the corner of every page of a book that was gifted to SB.

Really unpleasant way to handle property that you’ve borrowed.

OMG two days later and I’ve Grunka’d my way through. I haven’t commented as I thought I’d wait until I’d read everything.

Just when you thought JM couldn’t get anymore psycho after the kitten porn video, she comes out with this! I’m totally with the posters who ask what she wants to achieve? I think we all know it’s fame and notoriety, and I feel like I’m in a emotionally abusive relationship and nobody else can see it. Why do all these people not fact check? Why aren’t they coming to Tattle and reading the facts on JM, we have every single receipt here and she can’t get away from it. I’m sure people would be very interested in #31 or even a list of her conditions/jobs. All it takes is one person to tweet them and if they start being retweeted it could lead to the end of the road for Jack. Finally.

I’m shocked she doesn’t have someone witnessing this who cares enough about her to take her phone away, she’s destroying what little career she has and will never get on TV again.

She’s a disgusting, gaslighting little urchin cunt. If I could get her phone I’d throw it in the sea and make sure she could never tweet again, Twitter would be a much better place without her and her flying monkeys.

It’s so clear that neither Jack nor her fans have any idea about corporate PR or business social media etiquette.

The first rule for businesses is to never engage in a public slanging match with an aggrieved (perceived or otherwise) party, and if potentially brand damaging allegations have been made, you certainly don’t seek to make corrections on such a volatile - and public - platform.

Harper Collins is acting exactly as you’d expect any multinational brand to behave.

Jumped ship from fod. Hello fellow fodsters 🙌 Off to catch up. I used to be an avid follower on here but looking back it was probably on thread 3! Still read boot strap cook as strap on cock (it must be my old eyes 👵)
Nice to see you here Gem!
By the way, @GrunkaLunka - your user name has been mentioned, explained AND subsequently used as a verb at least a couple of times in the SODs threads.

Fame and notoriety right there and you didn’t even have to get on your sideboard in a girdle for it ❤

Mary Berry has hand problems due to childhood Polio.

And one of the Hairy Bikers (Dave Myers, I think) has very swollen finger joints and doesn't do many recipes that require hand strength, I think he has Gout? Plus, he was a carer to his parents, so probably has considerably more experience, knowledge and ability to do such a programme.
Nothing to do with JM but you mentioned him and I love this random fact.

Oh wow great thanks! So worth sticking around for then seen as Fod has disappeared haha
Would also strongly advise you to check out thread #31: The One Where Jack Gets A Tattle Account (she came across as a right cock).

Couple of other details:
- she's obsessed with the fact that she lives in a "shitty rented bungalow" but it's actually a beautiful and HUGE detached property.
- she claims to have been in the fire service (and even used her expertise to help out after Grenfell) but in reality she was just a call handler.
- despite making money off the six months she lived on the edge of destitution/ foodbank use, her dad is actually quite high up in the fire service and she had a distinctly middle class childhood, being driven to ballet lessons in a (blue) Range Rover.
- we made her rage by questioning whether her cat was a pedigree. Also she's just got herself a very disabled new kitten for clicks.

She's... quite the character.

You’d have thought the pharmacy job would have been in the list of jobs she’s had too, considering how much she ‘learnt’ from it and how important it’s seemed to her recently.

ETA-cross posts this comment was regarding the interview posted above.
It was in the original list darling heart of mine, but I haven't been able to update it due to having to rescue a pup. This is another one who was dumped in the campo near here, our 4th this year. I collected this baby mastin/German Shepherd baby at about 8am on Saturday and guess what, Jack, he was at the vet by 10am. He was full of ticks, anaemic and starving so I've been spending quite a lot of time liking, loving and laughing at all your clever posts but the one thing that I haven't been able to do was engage in on-line wars with imaginary enemies (or posting photos of £60 teapots) or trying to treat him myself. Anyway, long story short, I have managed to find Baby Jake a lovely new home but he will be staying here until he's a bit better. The little shit has also chewed through the lead to my laptop, tipped eleventytwo bowls of water over and poohed on the bed.

Phew. New list updated to include the ludicrous claims in the Washington Post interview.

Before SB:

Bar worker
Body Shop rep
Busker - I'm not sure where this fits TBH, with Billy Bragg
Call handler with Essex Fire and Rescue Service
Chip shop worker
Pharmacy worker
Sex worker
Sunday school teacher
Supermarket worker

Post SB:

Accountant
Author
Book reviewer
Chef
Creative director
Diarist
Food blogger
Food consultant
Food stylist
Journalist
Media manager
Patron of 9 charities
Photographer
Poet
Political activist
Publicist
Radio show personality
Recipe stealer developer
Reporter
Sales Manager
TV presenter

......and mum

At the end of day, repugnant characters in books are designed that way as an example of how NOT to behave and think aren’t they. They are not the author’s mouthpiece for their own inner thoughts.

I agree that DW uses lazy stereotypes (perhaps not Miss Tutelage, haha) but for gawd’s sake - What about all the other, more salient, problems she could be using her voice and platform to help tackle? Ah, no - she’s giving her valuable time to badmouthing. Cretin.

Its not mandatory for LLs here to do it, the tenant is advised to get one.
We got one free from an energy provider about 15 years ago in an effort to get us to switch to them.
Didn't switch and shoved in a drawer. Got left there for years and years.
One night it started beeping and I completely shat myself. Started screaming to the children to get outside and Mr Moo and I ran around frantically opening doors and windows.
Rang British Gas who arrived with the Fire Brigade.

Turned out it was just beeping because batteries needed changing.

Firemen were pissing themselves laughing. I've never been so embarrassed.

As much add I don't particularly like Walliams, I hope his next book is titled "The Shit Chef", or some such (Ratburger has already been taken) and is about a scrawny, self - opinionated hypochondriac, with a kitchen full of out-of-date tins and cartons but a secret cupboard stashed to the brim with Waitrose expensive non-essentials.
It could be a cautionary little tale of the perils and consequences of claiming to be far more qualified than one really is, while at the same time constantly having to swim furiously up-stream against a tide of injustice and victimisation.

Re Miss Tutelage, maybe Jack needs to undergo unconscious bias training!

She is middle class, white, comfortable family background (ballet, Range Rover, grammar school). She is the one who makes false assumptions about black people.

She should check her white privilege!!!!

'PLASTERS? YOU WANT PLASTERS? I ACTUALLY STOOD ON GLASS AND NEARLY BLED TO DEATH'

I would love to see this 😂😂
omg how uncomfortable, how did edwina manage to get the tea though? I thought Jack was second gen, is her grandad minted as well as dad then?! Fuck me it just keeps getting better 😂 no wonder she’s not saving for that deposit!
Edwina, being, you know, professional, actually did her homework before the show and found a load of info online. Jack's grandad owned several properties around Southend, some of which were guesthouses bringing in a tidy income. Jack's family have money, make no mistake about that!

I must confess I’ve just had to google how to pronounce tutelage- it’s not a word I’ve ever used, only seen written. I was going for a pronunciation more like fuselage, I’m so fancy!
I know a word that is easy to pronounce. VET.

I am really sorry about this, because I know I posted about her being sectioned and I don't like that I made you uncomfortable.

I do believe that Jack isn't effectively managing her own health (physical and mental) at the moment, and I stand by what I said that during her late night tweeting she would have benefitted from medical intervention. When she was tweeting pictures of potentially fatal amounts of drugs and saying "not OK" over and over, I do believe that an assessment was urgently needed and if getting her in on a section was the only way to do that, it would have been entirely justified. I wouldn't throw around the mention of sectioning lightly, and fully accept that not everyone would agree. In my work I will always err on the side of caution, as I'd much rather see someone spend 2 hours being assessed under section than stand in a coroners court feeling like I could have done more, so maybe I seem trigger happy here but I assure you it's with the best intentions and I do apologise for making you (and anyone else) uncomfortable.
Grunka, much love, we have different views on this and that's fine. Thank god there's no cancel culture here. Just friendly discussion.
