Wow, this has been a rollercoaster grunk! And now I'm introduced to dating app Jack - I fear what cometh next.

When you view her tweets from the prism of them being directed mostly at a handful of individuals, it gets pretty weird. But I guess we're all social media voyeurs at the end of the day. I didn't follow her and still got to view her witterings thanks to the algorithm (that she hacked). So imagine how many more than 500k see this car crash?

I'm sure she'll be on an inadvertent Twitter break while she hoovers up messages from freaks trying to get in her grundies. I expect she wants to do a triumphant return once she's found someone - so I await newly-coupled up Jack, in good time.

Oh he was definitely fit - tall, dark hair styled with gel lol, stubble, typically good looking. We then had the male teachers in their 50s that the girls still fancied took whatever they could for eye candy!

I read these threads and I'm just so bloody grateful I don't have a social media addiction compelling me to continually fart out every thought that crosses my mind. What a privilege it is just to think thoughts and live life without scrutiny by potentially half a million randomers.

One of my kids asked the other day if I'd rather be able to read minds or be invisible and I was 100% in the invisible camp. Jack's twitter feed is like being inside her head and it's not an enjoyable place to be.

Of course it’s possible. It’s also possible that she’s genuinely utterly bleeping clueless and about to walk into a lion’s den of bleeping awful lions.

Lots of vulnerable women are unfortunately very unpleasant to be be around, for a wide variety of reasons; and the social isolation that results from their unpleasantness is a key factor in their vulnerability.

I’m increasingly seeing Jack in that category; I think she’s desperately lonely and so hungry for attention that she’s fine with negative attention. She is unable to see more than a few moves ahead - we’ve all seen her complete lack of ability to plan! - and I don’t think this is a contrived cry for attention in the way you might see it. I just don’t think she’s smart enough to be manipulative in that specific way.

don’t care how unpleasant someone like Jack is, I do not believe they deserve to come to harm, and I think harm is a realistic potential outcome of her current actions. Regardless of any - clearly failed - MH treatment she has received to date, I believe she should get a highly specialist assessment and the correct form of therapy for her issues (perhaps DBT given indications of personality disorder, tho I am not able to dx as not my pt and not my speciality) and appropriate medication for any comorbidities such as the bipolar she may well have - again not dxing as can’t, but especially as there might be substances involved.

29 pages to go until grunking ends and for a long time I have not rubbed my goblin hands so much in anticipation. As always I alternate between pity and excitement but I am settling for the latter. Everything is self self-inflicted with all that awful content and oversharing. No original cringe content on Twitter, no Tattle threads.
Glad OH was legging it. Not because she is "broken" but because she is an annoying attention seeker.

I genuinely think Twitter is a malignity that makes people crazy. People who use it too much, blue tickers who are Very Online and Twitter famous, you can honestly see their mental state deteriorating over time.

I think it’s due to the stress levels created by the fact that the Twitter algorithm rewards people for arguing, exaggerating and being hysterical and hostile.

It’s also a boon for narcs. It basically allows them the perfect tool to act out their narcness. But it also makes them increasingly crazy.

In a hundred years time sociologists will look back at Twitter and wonder what the hell we thought we were doing.

So much this. I mean, OH doubtless told her a few reasons but even if he didn't, it's more than enough to just say 'I don't think we're right for each other' or whatever. But Jack can't respect other people's boundaries, she's shown us this time and again.

Exactly. Her saying “no real reason given” is telling in so many ways. Framing herself as a victim again, as if a break-up is something one person does to another person and there aren’t two separate lives involved.

If it were me, I'd just say no more about AA and sort out my issues privately from now on. Which is what she should have done in the first place.

Anyone with her best interests at heart (which a lot of the time is people here) will want that, for her to quietly do what she needs to do in the background.

Of course there’s a place for talking proudly about how your life has changed and that can be invaluable to newcomers. But the counting of the days, the “don’t send me emails about alcohol but look at me with my NA/LA beer”, the what feels to me like forced AA chat (when absolutely nobody is forcing her)…just feels off to me.

But the fact this is in the public domain is solely down to her

He deserves a mum in recovery and I’m not sure that’s the case here. Even if a drop of alcohol hasn’t passed her lips, in my opinion, this is not a happy existence for her or him.
