She gets away with this because she has half a million followers. Like. She’s boasting about having two honorary doctorates. Give me strength. For what it’s worth I think there are people who deserve to be honoured but she’s actually boasting that she’s an author and ha two honourary doctorates?

She turned up at two universities and they handed her a bit of paper and she’s actually boasting about that?

Jack. Why don’t you put your money where your mouth is seeing as you think you are so clever and enrol on an actual open University degree. Let’s see one of your essays actually corrected by a tutor and then you can boast about how good your writing is.

Plus. Your books are awful.
this this this this!!! I think honorary doctorates are great and can offer great recognition to some, especially legit campaigners (James Timspon got one recently!) but as someone doing in the final stages of a phD, while working, in a topic that I feel pretty specialised in, it's SO galling seeing her parade hers around.

She'd flop at an OU degree, their marking standards are SO high - they mark harsher than a lot of traditional uni's and I'm (90% sure, or at least it was when my mum got hers) you have to get 85% overall for a first, not 70% like at most. She'd collapse. Her academic boasts are pretty harmless, but they are SO annoying.

Doing a bit of a Twitter grunk
1. Wonder why this fair point got no response from someone who used to have a wheelchair in their Twitter bio?

2. Not sure I can take the irony of the second squig

3. Do people think that Terry Pratchett actually created a VBI?

On point one I would have defended anyone else as I had no idea alt text is a thing. People can’t be expected to know everything. But then I remembered Jack thinks she does know everything and orchestrated that horrendous pile on earlier so no sympathy from me.

Only time I've ever failed anything academic was an open uni MA module.

Can you imagine Jack being your landlord?! Boiler goes, you make her aware, and just get her whining that she's only one person with £34 in the bank 😂. I'd sooner camp out in the park.
Oh god. She'd be the absolute worst. Moaning, hard-done by, nit-picking, skinflint. My last landlady was like that. The toilet eventually fell off the wall after months of my trying to make her aware of a problem and she tutted that I'd already had the boiler fixed (in the middle of winter) and I'd have to buy my own loo from B&Q! Anyway, Jack is far too busy for such things. She'd have to use an agent...

That was a hell of a grunk. Jack’s fans are horrible people and I remembered saving this the other day because it really seems quite apt.

There’s nothing wrong with being middle-class, and it doesn’t invalidate hard work. There are also many middle class people on this thread.

Jack gets criticised because despite being thoroughly, unequivocally middle class in every possible way, she fakes being working class, uses it as part of her grift, makes a mockery of poverty and talks over and in place of actual working class or impoverished people. She can also barely conceal her and her family’s snobbery, she’s like a comedy caricature of a middle class person.
The hit TV show Keeping up Appearances is called the crow who walks like a swan in Hindi, which seems rather apt for a smol pixie. It may also be where she got her ideas on class from. The show, not the country.

Jack shouldn’t assume she’s going to inherit anything. If people have money or property they have the right to do what they like with it.

Personally I don’t see the obsession with owning a home. Yes you have more stability in the respect that you don’t need to keep moving around but she has chosen to move multiple times. She was also offered the opportunity of shared ownership when she was working for the fire brigade and turned it down.

She must know herself she is never going to be in the position of owning a home if she stays in the area she’s currently living in.
She would have to relocate. Plus as has already been said if she can’t get a broadband deal she won’t get a mortgage

As to shyness stopping her from working on TV. It didn’t stop Dkl. It didn’t stop this morning segments or Lorraine.

She’s the worst kind of person there is. She says she can’t work on TV due to shyness but sits on twitter acting the billy big baws.

She’s the definition of internet gangster.
I think owning your home would definitely make things easier financially in old age. I'm in my mid 40s rent and constantly worry how I'll manage to do this when I only have a pension.

Can I just say, BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA and EXACTLY. Also cookery books are not highbrow literature you monumental whelksplat, unless they're that Isabel Allende one that I bought by accident thinking it was a novel and frankly it still read like one because she is a beautiful writer. You, MadamSir, are a slopgibbon who throws their own tit at the page.
On the grunk, and off topic, but is the Isabel Allende one Aphrodite, about sex and food? I love it so much. That and Jane Grigson are two of my go-to food books when I'm feeling down.

Jack, seeing as you'll also be on the grunk, this is not an encouragement for you to come out with a book about sex and slop. We do not need the Karma Sloptra.
