I was wondering how far back HMRC will go with their investigation? Can they go back before she had a limited company?
does the kickstarter count as declarable income?
And the sainsbury’s deal must have been quite lucrative or would she have had to give the money back after being dropped?
all of the festival money too.
I don’t think she is a millionaire but I bet her earnings are much higher than
Tax hat on - it depends what they think has gone on. They are very much constrained by legislation depending on what is suspected and what type of investigation it is - and they sometimes get tripped up when the paperwork is incorrect.
The maximum - in cases of deliberate and concealed behaviour ie on purpose naughty tax fraud - is 20 years. But at that point they might also be going for criminal charges so it’s the very severe end of naughty which I don’t think Jack is at.
At her very lazy and entitled grifty naughtiness probably 4-6 years max which would pick up all her big collabs, most of the books and Patreon.

This is TD commenting on a FB post of Jack's 6 years ago. Sorry if this has already been shared, I've missed it because I'M BUSY.
My question is, when did the beef with them start and over what?
If its been discussed before pls can someone let me know which thread (and page preferably because I need to watch In For A Penny).
LOVING THE VIENETTAS 🤣🤣🤣🤣

:ROFLMAO: sublime, although her Jacksplaining the Czechs would be terrible. "Are Czechs different from Slovaks? Well, this is very complicated but also very simple, I think they're the same 🥰 x"
Im sure that one of the presidents of the former Czechoslovakia used to drink in the bier halls

That could be Jack. Meeting her fans over a goulash 🤣🤣🤣

I’m Jack Monroe. Mother. Cook. tit singer. Patreon of ten charities. Howls a lot

Happy 300 everyone! I don’t want to be as soppy as her stroganoff, but thanks for all the laughs! It’s made a very horrible few months much easier knowing that there’s still lovely, intelligent, empathetic people knocking about from all walks of life 🤍
I just wanted to share the burning question my sister posed to me earlier after I had a rant about Jack and her recent Jeremy Corbyn automated reply chaos;
“How is it physically possible for one person to duck up every single point they try to make? Every single situation they’re in? It’s more painful than watching Faulty Towers. She’s like a cartoon.”
TOOT TOOT 🍾

EDIT I think we need a poll for favourite Viennetta flavours, mine is tiramisu! But only been able to find it in *shudder* Italy (Jack flashback) caramel biscuit is also grand.

No viennetta here but I had macaroni cheese for dinner with a glass of Pinot Grigio. I’m practically Italian now.

I was going to have a celebratory 300th thread BBQ. However the minute I finished building the bastard thing it clouded over. Needless to say fraus, I am in a fugue state.
Were the instructions in French, like when Homer built a BBQ? "LE GRILLE? ?? What the hell is that?" I'm sure it was a mighty fine looking barbeque, dear heart Geetbo

The first public incident was when Jack slagged off other people's trifles using photos from recipe sites. She then declared her Dad's packet mix Birds trifle to be the best ever.

I wouldn't be surprised if like many of us over the past 6 years, as Jack bounced between identities and ailments and started causing lots of pile ons and creating increasingly sloppy foods, things began not to add up for TD...

We had a BBQ yesterday, I also had to build it before I even caught sight of a sausage. After rooting around for a screwdriver, my wife appeared with that face...the bloody instructions were entirely in French. Luckily, having seen a few episodes of 'Allo Allo' back into the day, I am fluent en français so the day was saved. Everyone then clapped and cheered.
LE GRILLE ! Marvellous, I am all up in your grilles, pals

You beat me to it dear sidey T but it is worth repeating x

Kickstarter?
I wonder about this. If it is due tax then that would be at 20% £14k odds tax? Or is it only us mere mortals who have to pay tax
Of course if someone on paye was to take in 70k in a year then that would be the higher rate of tax of 40% so 28k.

I don’t normally do big maths on a Saturday night but I wouldn’t like to not pay tax and have that creep up on me after a number of years.

just to be clear I’m not suggesting Jack owes tens of thousands of pounds of unpaid undeclared tax to the treasury through non payment but I am curious as she has admitted she hasn’t paid. I wonder how much she hasn’t paid.

Whilst building my french BBQ yesterday, I wore one of my many Italia kickyball shirts.
We had LM mozzarella burgers with SCAMorza in homemade ciabatta. I drank Peroni, Mrs had Aperol.
I'm half 🇮🇹half🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. But I think we can collectively agree that neither of my peoples want Jack..back off from our bridges, canals and food you segaiolo.

Interesting....I was about for the trifle defending and obviously there's the title of TD....I wondered if there was anything going a bit further back? Perhaps not!

TBH that old comment of TD's makes it really clear that she's like most of us - not evil, not prejudiced against Jack for being tattooed/gay/working class etc, in fact someone who probably started out liking Jack then realised that the emperor was naked.

It's a shame that people don't realise that most Jack critics are like this...
