Does she not know that veg/vegan food isn't *just* a recipe with the meat removed? You need to build in flavour in alternative ways. It's skilled cooking.

It's this kind of thinking that has resulted in so many veggies being served a woefully unbalanced meal.

Of course jack who was militant vegan for 5 minutes until the vegan cook book was released and spoke about studying nutrition is just as ignorant as your average person from the 90s.

But... goulash is meat and vegetables not meat and various beans? That was a diabolical chilli not a goulash. Surely she would have added tinned carrots and potatoes for a goulash? You can't just add smoked paprika to stuff and then call it a goulash.

Jack, that's not goulash, that's ghoulish.

She also says that she prefers buying smoked paprika over sweet, as you get more flavour and so more "bang for your buck". They're two different flavours entirely, they aren't just interchangeable . She doesn't understand/can't taste flavours at all.

I love the fact that squigs are brave enough to talk back. Especially the Corbynista squigs. Whatever one may think of Corbyn and socialism, he was offering a genuinely new political settlement for the UK and I think that all the shite that people talked about him on a personal level in 2019, prevented voters from properly engaging with what he was offering. Maybe more people would have voted for him if they'd been able to engage with the politics rather than the person. Jack's rhetoric about the Dear Leader and all that stuff is a perfect example of the type of rhetoric that prevented people from doing just that.
