But don’t all chefs/cooks give out their recipes for free on their websites? You don’t see Ainsley Harriot asking for a pat on the back or rattling a tip jar

It's an amalgamation of different suppliers, boat owners and whatnots. In any case, I suspect the fish shop in Thorpe Bay has more to do with this than anything else.

They saw the chickpea curry and assumed that it was Jack's recipe being used didn't they? Never mind there are a ton of Chickpea curries, in Indian cuisine, it's only Saint Jack that had the inspired idea of making it into a curry.
